About The Owner

I'm a retired french journalist. I used to work in the Languedoc Roussillon but also for a french television channel in the West Indies and the Indian Ocean.

My wife accompanied me throughout my career. She has looked after our adopted son who is now 13.

Once retired, we settled in our house in St Sébastien in the Gard county. Our son goes to the local village school. We are involved in several local associations.

We like hiking and geocaching.

The Owner purchased this house in 1998

Why The Owner chose Anduze - Cevennes Piedmont

As a child I used to spend my summer holidays at my grand mother's in the Cevennes. The Cevennes in the Gard deeply marked me. When I wanted to buy a house it was naturally near Anduze I began looking. My wife, who didn't know the Cevennes, was instantly seduced.

We particularly appreciate the calm, the natural space and the beautiful ceveno landscape.

What makes this house unique

Our house sits in the parish of St Sébastien d'Aigrefeuille, made up of 98% of forest. Yet we are only 15 minutes from the large town of Alès. In our hill it's not rare to spot deer, wild boars, squirrels, rabbits and this will delight the children. St Sebastien is on edge of the Cevennes National Park, but maintains its Mediterranean climate: it's mild and sunny a large part of the year. Really pleasant!
