Luxury 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom fully air-conditioned penthouse apartment, with extra large roof terrace with 'views to die for' including golf course and lake, swimming pools, mountains, sea and La Managa strip. The roof terrace has recently had a large pergola added to offer shade when required, with a retractible awning. This 5 star golf resort, with luxury 5 * Inter Continental Hotel and Spa, an excellent choice of restaurants and bars. The Jack Nichlaus designed course offers a challenging game with its lakes and strategically placed bunkers. The resort has a supermarket, tennis and paddle courts and driving range. The resort is 10 minutes drive from San Javier and 50 mins from Alicante Airports. Only 5 minutes drive from numerous 'blue flag' sandy beaches with flat promenades for relaxing walks or enjoying the restaurants and bars. The Mar Menor lagoon is said to have therapeutic benefits & is approx. 5 degrees warmer than the normal sea. The resort is 15 minutes from the historic port City of Cartagena which is steeped in history and also approx. 20 mins from the historic City of Murcia.

About Nigel Jealous

Wendy and Nigel Jealous, married in 1976, with 3 grown up children and three grand children. We live in Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, UK. We love holidaying as it allows us to indulge in our favourite hobbies, namely - relaxing, eating, drinking and golf. Our stunning penthouse on Mar Menor golf resort, is beautifully furnished, has a 65 sq m roof terrace boasting stunning views of the golf course, lake, swimming pools and mountains. There are numerous clean, safe, sandy beaches 5-10 mins drive away. It is very peaceful but close to the action! We also have a beautiful villa on Polaris Worlds 5 star flagship 'El Valle' Resort. Peaceful, but still offers families plenty to do besides golf. It has a Jack Nicklaus golf course, tennis, gym, private pool and other communal pools, restaurants, bars and shops.

We always (without exception) receive 5 star guest reviews, with many guests returning. We recently in 2017 added a large pergola with retractible awning, which can cover the huge roof terraces outdoor dining area and also an additional sun bathing area.

This region of Spain enjoys on average 320 of sunshine each year! A good selection of safe & clean beaches (Blue Flag) within 5-10 minutes. Easy and cheap to get to with the low cost airlines. We often pop over for long weekends. Murcia (San Javier) Airport only 8-10 minutes away, Alicante Airport 50 mins. 22 quality golf courses all within a 10 miles. A good selection of restaurants and bars offering great of tapa, seafood and steaks. No high rise apartment blocks, no high rise hotels and especially no lager louts. Our penthouse apartment has a stunning roof terrace with 'views to die for'. 20 minutes drive from the historic Cities of Cartagena (with its port) and Murcia (with its river) both are beautiful, with good shopping. This is a very traditional area of Spain.

What makes this apartment unique


Our luxury penthouse apartment has been furnished and finished to a very high standard with the curtains and many of the soft furnishings bespoke hand made. We used a local interior designer.

Its outstanding feature is the 65 sq m. roof terrace (the size of a normal 2 bedroom apartment), which boasts truly stunning views of the Mar Menor lagoon (Little Sea), La Manga Strip, golf course set around a beautiful large lake, swimming & paddling pool, with spectacular mountain views in the distance. It benefits from all day sunshine. In 2017 we added a large pergola to the roof terrace with a retractible awning, to offer cover to the dining area and additional sun bathing area. It also has a 32 sq m. rear balcony with shaded area (a further retractible awning) over looking the swimming & paddling pools, golf course with lake & stunning mountain views. Our apartment is a gentle 10 minute stroll from the supermarket, bars, restaurant, golf club house & luxury spa. Quite yet there is plenty to do!

Fantastic!!! Beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The real WOW factor was the huge roof terrace, with all day sun, views of the golf course, lake, swimming pool, mountains and in the opposite direction the sea and La Manga Strip. We eat most of our meals on the roof terrace and also sun bathed, relaxed and had a great view of the brave golfers trying to shoot the lake to the green below. The resort was lovely and offered a variety of bars and restaurants. We managed to get to the Mar Menor lagoon several times, (5-10 minutes by car) for walks along the promenade, a bit of sun bathing and fantastic seafood. All in all, we had a great time and would recommend staying there. We will return 10/10. April '13

Linda & I had a fantastic, restful holiday in your apartment. You said we wouldn't be disappointed & we weren't. The apartment was everything we expected & more, many a lazy afternoon was spent on the roof & rear terraces! The surroundings were beautiful. Will book again! G.M

Notes on accommodation: Pure luxury, stunning position, the most amazing roof terrace with 'views to die for', you won't be disappointed! It has been furnished with luxury and comfort in mind, a real home from home with the soft furnishing & curtains bespoke hand made. All too often you find a lovely property let down by its finish, No such problems here. Outside: The extra large roof terrace is truely stunning and benefits from complimentary lighting and plants. The luxury designer furniture boasts a 6 seater dining table and chairs offering views over the golf course and lake. There is an additional seating area with matching coffee table, there are also 4 sun beds and an out door shower for cooling down on those very hot days! Below the rear balcony is a very attractive garden area including a shared swimming pool and paddling pool with sun bathing area. There is a flat pathway around this section of the golf course and lake which makes for a lovely walk before dinner with the setting sun shimmering off the lake. Utility Room: hoover, ironing board etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: A 5 star penthouse deserves the best linen, so the linen is luxurious Egyptian cotton. Beach towels can be provided at €2.5 each. Additional mid term cleaning and linen change can be arranged at an extra charge. Other: The stunning 65 sq m roof terrace has views of lake, golf course, swimming pool, mountains, sea and La Manga Strip. The outdoor furniture is the hight of luxury. The separate rear balcony is a very generous 32 sq m with shaded seating & sun bathing areas

Wonderful stay in a great apartment and resort

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful apartment for 12 days around Easter 2018. We loved the apartment and it's spectacular views of the golf course on one side and the villas of Mar Menor on the other side. The location of the apartment i ideal, relatively close to the driving rang and hotel on one side and overlooking the lake and golf course on the other side. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic apartment with lovely views

The apartment is extermely comfortable and of a high standard. The balconies, especially the one off the lounge, are huge! A wonderful place to be able to sit and eat/drink outside and look at the beautiful views. The apartment is only a short drive from the centre of the resort so is well placed. The owners, Nigel and Wendy, could not have been more hospitable. A definite return for my family and I in the near future.

Escape from grey skies,

Clean,wonderful amenities, everything you need for a self catering holiday. Except we cheated and took advantage of the wonderful restaurants available nearby and in Los Alcazares with its wonderful beach. A short trip to Cartagena which is almost a city of old Rome finishing up with La Manga strip and its wonderful warm Mar Menor. Back to the cool penthouse to relax in stylish comfort. Our first visit but not our last, Many thanks to Nigel and Wendy.

Fantastic Holiday Penthouse

We've just come back from a fantastic holiday, by far one of the best apartments I've stayed at on the Mar Menor Resort. The outdoor space was amazing and the views were fab. The on site management service was brilliant as well, hotel is 5 star, we spent a lot of the time at the apartment on the very spacious veranda enjoying the views as well as a few drinks meals with the family until late into the evening. A must visit for everyone it's absolutely wonderful.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!

THE best apartment we have stayed at on the Mar Menor Golf Resort bar none!! Great design and some amazing outdoor space which has fabulous views all around. Close to amenities and well positioned. Great facilities and a real 5 star feel to it. We left the apartment and checked into a 5 star hotel for 2 nights and we missed the apartment!!! Excellent process for sorting out the keys etcf really easy and very helpful and accomodating aents to meet and greet.

DEFINITELY WORTH A TRY!! We've already decided to go back next year. Thank you - we had just an amazing time.

Mar Menor lagoon (Little Sea) is approximately 5 minutes away by car. Mar Menor offers various 'blue flag' safe and sandy beaches. The sea is very calm so idea for children. The waters contain rich minerals and are said to have various therapeutic benefits and is also approximately 5 degrees warmer than the normal sea. There is 7 miles of flat promenade surrounding the beaches, for a leisurely walk or bike ride with plenty of opportunities to stop off for a coffee, cool drink of to eat.


10 minutes by car from San Javier Murcia Airport and approximately 50 minutes from Alicante Airport. A car is recommended but definitely not essential.

Ferry port of Santander 681km.


Los Alcazeres nearest beach 6 kms. San Javier Airport 10 kms. Historic City Murcia 20 minutes by car. Historic City Cartegena (port) 15 minutes.

Further Details:

8-10 minutes walk to 5 star luxury spa hotel. 8-10 minutes walk to bars, restaurants, supermarket and ATM. Apartment is situated on golf course, 8-10 minute walk to club house and golf driving range. Nearest beach 5 minute drive. At San Javier just 10 minutes drive away is Dos Mares shopping mall, which includes 10 pin bowling, cinema and an extensive food hall. Towards Murcia, 20 minutes in the other direction is Nueva Condomina. This recently opened shopping mall with some 200 shops, including many UK high street chains that you will be familiar with. This complex also provides a huge range of restaurants, 10 pin bowling and 6 screen cinema. The New Water park (Terra Aqua Murcia) and Animal park (Terra Natura Murcia) provide a wonderful family day out, with something for all ages just 20 minutes from the resort. Football fans...look up Real Murcia. They have a new purpose built stadium just to the north of the city next door to Nueva Condominia. Enjoy exploring this area known as the garden of Spain with it’s outstanding natural beauty. There are many national parks.
