Apartment in Flims-Dorf, Graubuenden, Switzerland - Quite Location But Still Extremely Centrally Located. Walking Distance To Everything

Beautiful, very spacious apartment with southern exposure with a gorgeous view overlooking the mountains. It is an almost 270 degree view ranging from the Flimserstein to a glimpse of the ski gondola.

Three comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living area with modern kitchen equipped with just about anything you might need. Internet (ethernet and wireless throughout apartment). HDTV 44 inch. DVD/Blueray (multiregional). 2 indoor parking spaces. Skiroom. Elevator. Handicapped accessible. Hardwood floors throughout the entire apartment. Fireplace and large balcony.

Very centrally and conveniently located. Restaurants, Pizzeria, Bar, Shops, Ski Bus within 30-40 yards. Yet at the same time unobstructed view over the fields and mountains next to a calming little creak besides the building.

We are a German/American family who has lived on both sides of the Atlantic for many years. Our vacation home has been selected and furnished keeping both cultures and expectations in mind. We live in the United States and easy access from Zurich and local mobility were of utmost importance to us. Notes on accommodation: Extremely proper and clean, convenient, with a touch of homey Engadine style furnishings in living room - but newly and modern furnished throughout. Main thought when purchasing the vacation home was easy accessibility and convenience with an emphasis on quality furnishings. Owned by a German/American Family with both cultures and expectations in mind. Outside: Large balcony with enough seating for 6 people (gorgeous view!). Swimming and sauna is available through a public pool and numerous nearby hotel facilities (not included). Utility Room: washer and dryer within the apartment Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen provided. Other: laundry room washer and dryer within apartment. Parking for two cars in underground parking with lift to apartment - Ski room.

Special interest holidays:

Besides being a well known ski resort with over 230 km of slopes (one of which is 18 km long) with the world's largest half pipe, Flims borders on a UNESCO World Heritage Park and has hundreds of hiking trails ranging from challenging terrain to easy panoramic walks with little elevation differences. The landscape around Flims is considered a natural wonder and is truly unique in many ways. The canyon formed by the Rhine is simply stunning!

Flims has been heavily promoting mountain biking and electro biking (electric bikes can be rented with recharging facilities throughout the region). Hang gliding, mountaineering, canoeing are also widely practiced.


Flims has a very scenic lake which has beach and swimming facilities. The free local shuttle bus can reach that "resort within a resort" in about 5 minutes. Many hotels allow external guest to use the swimming and spa facilities, including the exclusive resort of Waldhotel. World renown Spa Facilities in Bad Ragaz are withing less than 30 minutes.


* Car: 1.5 hours on mostly major highway (autobahn) and very little/easy mountain driving from Zurich. Two car parking in underground parking with lift. Chur is only 15-20 minutes away.

Train/Bus: 2 hours from Zurich. Bus 20 minutes from Chur - Bus stop is less than 100 meters away from apartment. Seasonal shuttle bus from Zurich airport, Local free shuttle bus service within less than 100 meters. Wheel chair accessible, restaurants/shops with 100 meters.


Walking: restaurants, bus / news stand, bakery, grocery post office: 2 minutes. Many more restaurants, shops, pharmacy, banks, tourism offices, skiing within 8 minutes.

By Car: Laax 6 minutes. Reichenau 10 minutes. Chur 19 minutes. Arosa 50 minutes. Davos 1 hour. Zurich 1.20 hours. St. Moritz 1.20 hours. Munich 3 hours.

Booking Notes: Fees vary significantly between high season and off season. This web site doesn't seem to cater to this unless I add a fee schedule for every week in the year.
You will be put in touch with a local booking agency which is across the street of the property. But I'd be willing to negotiate, especially during the summer and fall season.
Changeover Day:
Saturday to Saturday bookings is preferred but we can be flexible.

Notes on prices:
Please add CHF 180.- per stay for cleaning and CHF 25.- per person for linens.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
