Casa Donald is situated about 20 minutes from Faro airport. This attractive and secluded rural villa is set in 2 acres of private gardens in which figs, olives, Almonds and lemons are growing. More information at www.algarvevilla.xyz .The villa has been sympathetically converted but retains many original features. The pool is set in a private terrace to the house and there is a top sun terrace which has uninterrupted views to the sea and BBQ. The whole villa is double glazed to help keep it warm in the winter and cool in the summer. With blackout shutters to all windows. The Villa is equipped as a home from home, with everything you need to make you stay as comfortable as possible.

There is a BBQ area for entertaining.

The villa is all on one floor 4 comfortable bedrooms with two en-suite and one bathroom. The master bed is a king size.

There is a play station and games and this allows access your own accounts for Netflix, amazon, and sky

We love Portugal and the people in this country. What attracted us to our villa was the privacy and the fantastic views. We have had many wonderful evenings chatting and enjoying the expansive views out to the sea. There is such a relaxed feel to the villa it is an ideal place to unwind. also perfect for sun worshippers due to the Sun Terrace which enjoys the full shine of the sun from Dawn til sunset.

Why Nicola Cooper chose Loule region

We have owned this villa since 2000. It is ideal for anyone wanting privacy and suitable as a family home and very comfortable. It goes without saying that we love Portugal and especially the Loule area where our home is. The swimming pool is well maintained and in pristine condition and can be heated if required. We have land around the house some of which is garden and the rest is wild and full of trees, shrubs and flowers. There are other houses nearby but we are not overlooked which gives us privacy.

We would like to thank you for our lovely stay at your Villa last week we had a great week the weather was mostly good and the Villa was really comfortable and gave us a really good base. The pool was really warm and used every day the sun was out, the views were fantastic. Lorraine was also very helpful and welcoming.

Notes on accommodation: The property can accommodate 9 people though we are happy to rent it to small groups if required. If you require the 4th bedroom this is available for £50 pw. There is extensive sunbathing areas with a private terrace with views out to the sea and also a second terrace that is by the pool. Internet Access available. Outside: Private pool with heating if required. BBQ, sun terrace and patio. The Villa is located in a 4000m2 Plot so is surrounded with much local plant life and forna, Almond trees, olive trees, Fig trees, Orange and Lemon trees. This is a well kept rustic garden with the villa residing in the centre of the land giving you peace and tranquillity, away from prying eyes. As the villa is situated in the country side you have very little noise form local traffic. The villa has a private driveway with ample secure parking, off road from multiple cars. The outside lighting around the Villa make an evening by the pool with a drink and a BBQ meal very enjoyable. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included, house cleaned at weekend changeover. Other: 2 Terraces and BBQ

Fantastic Family Holiday In Good Value Villa

After collecting the hire car we drove about 35 mins to the Villa from Faro Airport. Easy journey great directions.

When we arrived and saw the Villa we were stunned by the location. The privacy and size of the Villa grounds were amazing. It is an oasis just like in the pictures. The Villa is big enough for the 8 of us and although not massive it was just right for a holiday.

But it’s about the outside really who goes to sunny Algarve to sit inside, and this Villa has the best outsize areas I have ever seen. A Massive sun terrace for my wife and daughter “The Sun Goddesses” the lower terrace with the cool, crystal clear pool for me and the lads to splash around. Nice top terrace stone BBQ to big enough to cook a meal for 10 on. Well-tended gardens with all sorts of fresh fruit trees olives, Almonds, orange and lemon, I tried figs straight from the tree and they were great, and outdoor living areas make this Villa excellent value. Thank for the new experience.

The location is great for a nice county walk without the hustle and bustle of the tourist trail. A few mins walk into the village and there are 2 café bars that serve great food. One is Portuguese, dish of the day is a plate of bbq meat and the other is an Italian theme doing Pizza and pasta also fish and chips. All with great friendly service. A bit further on is a local café that serves Magners by the pint on draught for only £2.00 along with the best ham and cheese toasties in the world for another £1.50 each.

The location is great as well, although I would recommend a car or taxi. There is a large supermarket 10 mins drive in the next village but a mini market is 5 mins walk. Beaches have to be driven too not walked to, we enjoyed Benagil Beach and did cliff diving with the kids, only 40 mins in the car, the nearest beach is only 15 mins drive.

Good welcome pack, can we have white wine next time instead of red, and more beer lol. Maybe you could offer a custom welcome pack, I would pay a bit more for a choice, but all the essential were there for our arrival, P.S. I am not complaining, just getting options for next time.

In all a very relaxing, chilled out place to take the family and go with the Portuguese flow of life.

Lovely villa, great location

The villa is situated a little out the way but is perfectly positioned to do all the Algarve has to offer. You need a car definitely but the roads are all good so it's easy driving. The villa itself is spacious and has fabulous views. The management team were helpful and responsive and the owner was very flexible with payments etc so I paid in instalments.

There were a few issues with the villa...nothing that spoilt the stay and I have reported these issues to the owner but it is a fabulous place and I wish I owned such a lovely property!

Wi-Fi is available but I have suggested this is included in the price, also it wasn't super good so I ended up using 4g for a proportion of the time. Loads of books to read!

For things to do we went to Tavira well worth a day out get there early and go to the lovely beach as well as the water tower to see the sights. A day in Faro is always worth a punt and Albufeira is close by. You can walk from Vilamoura to Quarteira which is nice. Algar Seco is worth a walk around and lunch in Carvieiro.

We took a boat tour one evening from Albufeira for €25 each a 3 hour trip. There is parking in an underground car park near the marina which is free.

Of course zoomarine is good for kids. I don't go to places where animals are badly treated for money but this isn't the case here

You can swim with them if you are made of money!

All in all we had a lovely lovely time at Casa Donald. I would definitely return if I took extended family as it comfortably houses 9 people.

Thank you to Nicola as i am sure I drove her crazy with my instalments but it's a lovely villa with a fab vista and well situated.

great views.great pool, but in need of freshening up.

Short drive from airport,lovely location,great views,villa is need of major TLC. Garden furniture,sunbeds all need replaced,fridge freezer badly needs replaced,one air conditioning unit not working,10min walk down the road was a lovely bar/restaurant ,the couple who owned it were wonderful, very helpful,served up great food,even had a happy hour which lasted 3 hours!!!!pizzas,fish and chips were a must. Overall we had a great holiday as a family.

overall relaxing

The villa was well equipped and spacious, It is remote but we were aware of that, the village itself is extremely small, with only one decent bar/restaurant within easy walking distance (cooper's bar) which served excellent food and friendly staff, the nearest convenience store was a good 30 minute walk away, so you may as well drive into town where you have supermarkets. The directions to the villa was not the easiest to follow, we did get lost, but when rang Natalie (management team) she was very helpful, as was paul who cleaned the pool on a regular basis, happy to give us directions etc when asked how to get anywhere,

Only really a couple of negatives were,: No welcome pack. which would have been helpful as the villa is remote, I have stayed in several villas over the years and always received a small welcome pack with essentials, would only cost a few euros for tea sachets/coffee/milk and water.

we were there 10 days, we did not have a villa clean or towels changed, but there was only 3 of us so we could utilise the towels in the spare bedroom, I did not particulary want to do washing whilst on holiday.

Plus it would have been nice to have some pool lights

Overall a relaxing holiday with only little niggly things

Owner's Response: Thank you for feedback on our Villa, I am glad you have a relaxing time whilst on your holiday. The Villa is situated in the quaint typically Portuguese village, which has 2 very good restaurants and another bar café that serves excellent Portuguese style snacks. Coopers is a great restaurant but just 200 feet across from Coopers is an excellent traditional Portuguese restaurant that severs dishes like char grilled fresh grilled, pork and chicken. Both the Café bar and restaurant are excellent value for money. About 300 feet away from Coopers next to the café bar there is a great mini market that is well stocked and open 7 days a week, and sells everything you would need for a holiday stay. We have reviewed the directions to the villa and made a couple of minor alterations. It is great to know that our management company were available to talk to en-route and help guide you in. It is instances like these that they are there for to make your holiday more enjoyable. Welcome packs are available on our booking form. The management company have changed the bulb and tested them all and they are all working perfectly. The lights around the pool area are on a sensor so they switch on automatically as it gets dark this is working 100%. We are sorry you have a few issues during your stay and thank you for your feedback and four star rating, we hope to see you again at Casa Donald. Thank you

Great location, great holiday

Great base for exploring what the Algarve has to offer. Casa Donald has all the amenities you need and is well equipped for a comfortable stay. The views are outstanding as were some of the glorious sunsets. 10/15 minutes to some wonderful beaches. Vilamoura has some wonderful restaurants. Close enough to something for everyone, young and old alike. The pool was a great place to spend the days when we stayed in. Paul and Natalie were both very helpful. Looking forward to our return
