About the property

We pride ourselves in keeping our guests happy. Book early to avoid disappointment.

The Stone House is situated less than a 5 minute walk from the beach and town centre. Situated on a lovely avenue that leads to the cliffs which are truly spectacular. It is ideal for families and couples alike. The property stands on a 470 square meter plot which is very spacious. The pool and terraces are well kept and have plenty of room for sun worshipers. There is also a shady area where you can get out of the sun if you wish. We offer high quality sun loungers, plus BBQ & alfresco dinning area.

The building itself is a very traditional Menorcan villa which is cool and with also shady area. Quite rugged in design with beautiful exposed Spanish timber. White painted Cathedral ceilings in all areas of the villa, giving the place that special homely feel. set on a very nice peaceful road which has some other beautiful neighbouring villas that are also detached.

The Stone House Has white walls which surround the property which makes it very private, a safe area for children.

It is so close to the beautiful cala en porter beach and the delightful town where there is great restaurants and superb bars. It has all this but remains very quiet at night so you can be assured of a restful holiday.

Since having our baby daughter Madeleine we now live here permanently, we love everything about the island, its superb for families young and old, you come as guests but leave as friends.

What makes this villa unique

We have done a lot of research on Menorca before we purchased our villa and we where extremely lucky to find The Stone House. It is in the perfect location. We do not need to keep explaining how close it is to everything you will ever need on your holidays, book with us and you want to go back! promise!

We also have to mention that approximately half a mile away at the cliffs edge lies one of the best discos in the world. It caters for young and old.

The Xoria la coves club lies in the side of the cliffs that are has natural caves illuminated by led lights and the stars.

The sunsets in the adjacent rear of Majorcan mountains and the calm sea.

I really cannot big it up enough. It really is a must!

I just wanted to drop you a quick note, following our 2 week stay at the Stonehouse, to let you know what a great time we had.

The villa was almost perfect for us and despite having to accommodate the very differing needs of our party of 6 (2 adults, 2 'big' children and 2 'little' children), it delivered in virtually every respect. The outside area is faultless: from the pool to the BBQ and the sun loungers to the dining area (not forgetting the very useful clothes lines !); whilst the TV set-up with the freeview and extensive film library, ensured that the 4 young ones were kept entertained, whenever it was too hot to go outside (or into the early hours, in the case of the elder 2 !).

The villa is also ideally positioned for access to both the beach and the bars/restaurants/supermarkets of Cala N'Porter.

Notes on accommodation: Please be advised that you will receive an email from us before you depart, giving you all emergency numbers and general information for the villa. This will inform you of directions and generally where to find things etc. The key code number for the villa will be on the information leaflet. This will only be sent to you once your final payment has been made. Outside: The gardens and terrace are on a hard standing mostly tiled around the pool area.There are sun beds and garden furniture that accommodate the garden for your outdoor needs. The private swimming pool is 8x4m by 2 meters deep at the deep end shallowing of to 1 meter. The pool is illuminated at night but not heated but we have found this is not required as the water generally is warm. The BBQ is a large free standing chimney style with a family sized grill. We also have washing line to the east side of the property so you can keep all your clothes dry. The garden is very safe and private. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. These are changed on change over days i.e Saturdays. If you are staying more than 1 week the maids will still do the linen on a Saturday. Beach towels can be hired if required. Other: All the bedrooms have dual air con and heating units controlled by individual remote control so that you can change your rooms climate whilst laying in bed. Also the lounge is fitted with a log burner in the unlikely event of it getting cold.

Great location, super clean and a proper pool!

The photos don't give the pool justice. I'm fact the photos don't give the property justice! It's a fabulous holiday rental.

We came to stay at Mark's place in early August. The weather was perfect, the beach has clean with shallow warm water (the 200 steps to get there is well worth the exercise). The beach has a bar and shop so you can always buy a drink, food/ice cream or stuff for the beach when you get there, so you don't have to carry loads down the steps. Also the fruit man comes to the beach around mid day.

Shops, bars, restaurants and soft play are a minute walk away from the property. A handful of supermarkets are dotted along the streets. Also the night market comes every other night. The bus stops for all locations on the island are a minutes walk and there is a car hire place a few door down.

The transfer from the airport is about 25mins in a taxi, it's a straight road pretty much so if you hire a car it's super easy to get to.

Check the cupboards before heading to the shops as there is is loads of stuff left behind by other people. We replaced what we used. I think that's what makes it a great place to stay as everyone who seems to stay here is respectful and treats it like home, which is why the property is in great shape and Mark clearly looks after it well between rentals.

Mark helped before arrival by replying to all emails and questions. While we were there Mark popped by to clean the pool and is very friendly.

Great villa, great location

Having stayed in various apartments/villas in Cala En Porter this is by far the best one.

The villa was amazing and had everything that we needed. Our little boy was in the pool all day every day and the sun was never of it, great for cooling off in the hot weather.

The villa is situated as close to everything that you need and couldn't be better positioned.

Another great stay in Menorca and would definitely recommend this villa.

Comfortable and relaxing

The property was roomy, clean and comfortable with a relaxing ambience.

Being a family with an infant we made full use of all the facilities on offer.

We especially enjoyed the pool and also made use of built in barbarcue.

We found the property to be well located for access to all local amenities

with plenty of choice for shops, bars etc.

Although its only 5mins or so to nearest bar we never had any problems

with noise.

The local restaurants offered plenty of choice and all were good value with

most offering fixed price 3 course meals including drink.

We found Mark the owner to be helpful and living locally was available to sort

out any problems (there were none) as well as keep pool clean.

We would have no hesitation in booking this villa again next time we come with the family and would recommend to others.

Fantastic holiday

We had such a relaxing holiday staying in the Stonehouse. This Villa has everything you need, clean comfortable inside and a fab pool outside. Great location close to bars, restaurants and the beach.

Mark and Leigh are the just so helpful. They were always available if needed and nothing was too much trouble, They went the extra mile to make this a lovely relaxing holiday. We are looking forward to returning next year.

the villa is located in a great spot,

The villa is in a prim location, close to all the restaurants, supermarkets, in easy walking distance to the beach.The beach is lovely,we highly recommend sea grams restaurant the ribs are to die for!!!!!.The actual villa its self is very well maintained to a very high standard,pool also very clean, sunbeds are the best, so comfy. The villa has everything you would need, like home from home.For us this Villa ticks all the box's, would highly recommend this villa to family and friends.Will definitely be going again soon. Booking Notes:
Full cleared funds must be made 10 weeks before departure. A £200 deposit will hold your dates. All deposits are non refundable. We accept bank transfers only. Our changeover day is Saturday but can be flexible in early or late in the season..

Changeover Day:
Change overs are on Saturdays, You must vacate by 10am because new arrivals will get there by 2pm.
We can be more flexible on change over days in the cooler months. i.e from mid October threw to early May. This is because flights are more inconsistent.

A deposit of 25% deposit is required to hold your required dates in our diary. Full payment must be made via bank transfer no later than 10 weeks before your departure date. If you are a late booking and your departure date is within our 10 week policy full payment will be required.
