The ground floor apartment is situated in private landscaped garden area, accessible only to residents via the apartments or security gates, with two pools (one for toddlers), sun loungers and sunshades. The apartment, built in 2005, and redecorated and refurnished in 2016, is spacious, tastefully furnished and fitted with quality fixtures and utensils. Situated on the ground floor of this prestigious development, it is ideal for relaxing, with the quiet pool being a 15 metre walk across the manicured lawns from the patio. The marina has a variety of good restaurants to suit all budgets within 5 minutes walk, and the old walled town of Lagos is a further 10 minutes walk with many more great restaurants and bars. Lagos also has a variety of fantastic beaches within 15 minutes walk of the apartment. There is a good full supermarket 2 minutes walk away behind the condominium which is great for fresh produce as well as the usual groceries and household items, plus a pharmacy.

Beautiful Apartment

We spent two weeks in July in this beautiful apartment it was everything as described and more.It has a lovely homely feel to it and really well equipped for a lovely relaxing holiday.The apartment and complex is really safe and secure.I would highly recommend it for a couples getaway and a great holiday with children also. We had our 3 year old daughter with us and she had a fantastic holiday.The apartment is opposite a great supermarket and within close walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants and shops in the marina and the lovely town Lagos. We are looking forward to our holiday there again next year.The management company were really helpful and friendly and at the end of the phone if we needed them.

Fantastic week away

We have just returned from a wonderful week in Lagos. The apartment is exactly as described and clearly very well looked after. We found the location to be perfect, with no car everything is in waking distance... Great restaurants and bars just a stone throw away on the marina and much, much more in the old town. We used the supermarket close by on many occasions and would recommend the fish counter, which is very well stocked. The pool and garden are very well looked after, we spent most days relaxing by the pool but did venture to the beach on one day, which is a 15 minute walk away. The apartment had everything we needed, great wifi, huge selection on TV and sky channels, which were perfect for the nights we decided to stay in and cook.

I would recommend the apartment to anyone and will definitely look to return.

This is the fifth time we have stayed at this particular apartment and it gets more like coming home every time. 50 minutes from Faro by taxi. We took a chance on a late holiday and the weather was superb. The apartment is on the ground floor with a terrace leading to the lovely grounds and pool. It has one huge bedroom. A remarkably comfortable large lounge tastefully furnished. A TV with all the main ITV, BBC, Ch4 &5, channels, Sky news and a few more. DVD and CD player I-pod dock and superb WiFi coverage. It has a fully fitted kitchen with everything you need, the owners obviously take a great interest in their guests needs and comfort. The bathroom has a full suit with a huge vanity unit and mirror. In the TV cabinet are loads of DVD's and CD's there is also a great selection of books The building is very secure and all the public areas are spotlessly clean. The gardens are very well maintained and peaceful with an adequate number of sunbeds. The small maintenance staff are very pleasant and friendly. A short walk to the Marina with loads of bars and cafe's to sit at and admire the jet set and their yachts. A bit further over the foot bridge takes you to the old town with every kind of bar and restaurant and shop you could wish for. A very good supermarket Pingo Doce is on the doorstep and it has a fantastic fish, meat, deli and bakery section. Just sat here in March in Yorkshire writing this makes me feel I can't wait till May when go again. Going twice this year in fact.

Really enjoyable week

We look forward every year to visiting this property in Lagos. The accommodation is of a very high standard, well furnished and extremely well maintained. The property is in easy reach of local bars and walking distance from the plethora of restaurants in the town of Lagos. The local supermarket Pingo Doce is literally across the road so it is easy to pop out for that bottle of wine (or two)!

The complex has a pool and sun loungers and is well maintained and the property has outside furniture to sit, relax have a drink and watch the Algarvian day go by! Highly recommended.

Would strongly recommend!

This year was our 3rd holiday at this apartment, and it's always clean, quiet, comfortable, and friendly. The facilities, including the pool, are excellent.

The location within Lagos is perfect, it's right on the marina which is full of great value, good quality, welcoming bars and restaurants. It's a short walk to the town which boasts some great nightlife, and a huge variety of restaurants, but it's also far enough away for a more relaxed evening! The apartment complex is situated right opposite a supermarket, and a short walk from the beach, and the train and bus stations.

There's plenty of things to see and do in Lagos, including some interesting shops. The beach is beautiful, and we've always had great weather.

Our favourite places to eat and drink in Lagos are Linda's Beach Bar, O'Marafado Tapas Bar and Cais J Cafe, to name but a few. We will definitely have another holiday here, and the only place I would avoid next time is Dynasty Chinese restaurant.

everything about this apartment is perfect,it is beautifully fitted out,very comfortable furniture and beds,the kitchen is very well equipped.its position on the ground floor is close to a large pool,and a large supermarket is 200 yards away.The Dom Manuel complex is close to the Marina which is a very stylish area,with really nice bars and restaurants dotted around.A 10 minute stroll across the river takes you into the old town of Lagos,full of restaurants and shops.The apartment is equipped with a air conditioning/heating system which is very useful.On the Marina you can hire boats or take trips down the coast or better still go dolphin watching.The local railway station is a 5 minute walk away and the line runs through to the Spanish border the full length of the Algarve.It all makes a perfect holiday

Location

From the Owner

The marina location is quiet, yet with a great choice of bars and restaurants, to suit all budgets, within 5 minutes walk. The food is of great quality with superb fresh fish and fine steaks commonplace. Whilst rarely busy, the marina location with the yachts just 150 metres away means that it is always atmospheric, with owners pottering about on their yachts. There is a lake between the apartment and the marina with ducks and beautiful black swan. You may want to hire a car, but be prepared to not get value for money from it because you will probably not want to go anywhere else as the marina and the old town, which is 15 minutes walk, have everything you need. Golf courses abound and a variety of superb beaches are all around Lagos.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

15 minutes walk to variety of fantastic beaches.

Travel:

By road: Lagos Town is a 50-minute drive from Faro airport.

By rail: take a 7 euro taxi journey from the airport to Faro Station and catch a train to Lagos. Journey takes about an hour and a half. The station at Lagos is only on the other side of the Marina complex, and therefore only a 5 minute walk away from the apartment.

By taxi: They generally cost about 75 euros from the airport. We can arrange to have you picked up and dropped off door to door for 70 euros for four people.

Distances:

Marina waterfront – 5 minutes walk away.

Lagos Town – 10 minutes walk away.

Portimao – 20 minutes drive away.

Praia de Luz – 15 minutes drive away.

Burgau – 20 minutes drive away.

Slide and splash water park – 30 minutes drive away.

Further Details:

This spacious ground floor apartment is contained within the marina complex with only a 5 minute walk to the marina's waterfront bars and restaurants. The local large supermarket is just a minutes walk from the back door. A footbridge across the river takes you from the marina to the centre of Lagos Town in only 10 minutes. There you have a wide selection of restaurants and bars to choose from as you walk around the traffic-free cobbled streets, soaking up the atmosphere provided by street entertainers or perhaps visiting the many shops.

For other activities away from town, there are plenty of sea trips on offer in the marina to visit the grottoes along the coast or sail with dolphins. A 30 minute journey will take you to the nearest water park.

The furnished patio area offers a lovely view across to the quiet pool, which is down 2 steps and then a less than challenging 15 metre walk across the grass. The supermarket is 2 minutes walk away behind the building, and offers a fully stocked with fresh produce as well as all the necessary frozen, tinned and household items, plus a pharmacy. The Condominium is very secure and secluded with access to the gardens and pool area only via the apartments themselves.

  • Notes on accommodation: The condominium is part of the prestigious Lagos Marina development, which although superbly located for all amenities, is private and extremely safe and secure. Although the marina is quiet and peaceful, there is always the opportunity to watch the yachts coming and going within a couple of minutes of the property. The property is no smoking for the benefit of our guests. Outside: Within this gated complex there is both a large communal pool and a children's pool set in beautifully maintained gardens. Sunbeds and umbrellas are provided. There is free car parking at the rear of the apartment. There is a children's play area within the Marina complex that has swings, slide, bumper cars and boats. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The linen and towels are included and changed weekly, and the apartment is cleaned weekly.
