We stayed at the Gite at Le Planchon for 4 nights. The owners are very friendly, likeable people. Kiran, in particular is a walking Tourist information centre - she advised us on places to go around the area and recommended a couple of superb restaurants for us to have lunch at. She even made the reservations for us! It was clean and well maintained. We would love to return if ever we get back to France. Lyn & Gary

The Gite was lovely, had everything you could need for a short or long stay. Set in the idyllic French countryside, overlooking the lake. It was perfect for a relaxing holiday and we couldn’t have asked for more. This really felt like a home from home, a combination of a beautiful setting, lovely Gite, fantastic host and all the amenities you could need. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking to get away from it all! We’ve already booked in to go again….thanks Kiran! Kate May (Leicester)

GITE PAISIBLE ET EQUIPE

  • 4 of 5

Superb location, exceeded expectations, 1st class!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here just for two nights on our way home from the med coast. The only thing that we got wrong is that we should have booked a fortnight! The immediate location of the Gite is superb and the surrounding area is as beautiful as you would expect in this part of France. The Gite is very well equipped and the description on the listing if anything undersells the accommodation, communications with the owner throughout the booking process were really good. The owner, Kiran gave us the warmest welcome that anyone could expect, and has a detailed knowledge of the area, restaurants etc, and first class customer service! As we were only staying two nights, we only had opportunity to eat out at one restaurant, this had been recommended by Kiran, and the food was excellent and great value for money. We will definitely be back for another visit and would recommend the Gite to anyone. A lovely rural location, but close enough to lots of amenities, ample parking space and set in a lovely environment.

Gorgeous peaceful setting

  • 5 of 5

A lovely old stone renovated barn, thick stone walls that kept us cool in the hot week that we stayed there. To wake up to the sound of birds singing and to look out over the lake with the early mist rising was spectacular. Kiran and Angelo were perfect hosts and their little boy Louis is delightful. If you looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday this is the place for you.

Friendly Hosts

  • 5 of 5

This charming gite is run by the very personable Kiran and Angelo - very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much bother. Kiran and Angelo specialise in Carp fishing so there is a large well-stocked fishing lake.

However, you don’t have to be an angler (we don’t fish) to enjoy what this gite has to offer.

The gite is a traditional old stone walled property attached to the owners' home. The accommodation is huge and well equipped and very good value. The gite makes a great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside, villages and towns.

We had a very enjoyable few days staying at Etang de Planchon. Thank you.

Lovely Gite in a lovely rural area

  • 5 of 5

Lovely rustic Gite in a rural area not to far away from a the city of Limoge. It is situated on a lovely (fishing) lake. We booked it for 7 days as a part of our fishing week at the lake. We brought our two dogs with us and they where more then welcome.

The Gite has all the things you need, a comfy bed, shower and separate toilet. The kitchen had everything you need: cooker/oven, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave (and all the other "usual" appliances". Kiran and Angelo are the most welcoming and friendly people to be with. Nothing is to much and they have the patience of angles.

Brilliant Hospitality at Etang de Plancho

  • 5 of 5

This Gite is rustic but comfortable. It has a lovelly new bathroom with a wide and powerful multi shower. The kitchen is large with a big dining talble which can comfortably accommodate 6 diners.

It has two bedrooms, and all beds are very comfortable. The main bedroom has both a double and a single bed in and is extremly spacious so ideal for a family. The second double is a little quirky as it has been formed in the ceiling space of the ajoining building which is also part of the Etaang de Planchon. It is spacious but because of the smallish entrance at the top of the stairs, may seem a little clostraphobic to some, but my Son and his partner loved it. Very cozy!

What is absolutely STUNNING about this gite is the setting. 10 acres of Tranquillity personified. The owners run a carp fishing lake right outside. The memories of sitting on the gite's terrace with a glass of wine in the glorious sunshine watching carp over 30ib in size leap out of the water, will stay with me forever. The owner, Angelo and Kiran and their beautiful new son Lois are the best hosts ever. They live in the cottage next door and nothing is too much trouble. They are able to advise on lovelly places to visit in the area, can give advice on which restaurants to visit and even offered to book for us. Simply a fabulous week. 100% recommendation. You will need to drive though if you want to get about but if you prefer to stay in one place and simply enjoy this paradise and say read your holiday novels, then this place is great for that too. The gite is set up for a most relaxing stay and is fully kitted to accommodate that. If you don't facy catering for yourselves at anytime, Kiran also does evening meals and although er didn't indulge, the 3 fishermen who stayed on the lake throughout our week raved about kiran's food and hospitality. My advice - don't wait, just book it!!! Thanks Angelo and Kiran for a FABULOUS WEEK.
