Whitby Holiday Accommodation, North Yorkshire, UK. Sea and Abbey View.

Overview

Property

Updated: 26-Aug-2016
Holiday Home in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England - 100 Metres To The Beach And Coastal Path, Views Over The North Sea And Historic Abbey

3 year old and spacious static caravan holiday home in a spectacular location. Double glazing and central heating. Sleeps 6. Great views of the North Sea and Whitby Abbey. Modern and stylish interior. Peaceful setting. 15 minute walk into Whitby town centre, a thriving 18th century fishing port, with endless character and charm. Perfect for walking, relaxation or exploration. Everyone loves Whitby.

The accommodation includes a folder with detailed information about the property and local area. Whitby is the most charming of northern England’s coastal resorts. The narrow medieval streets are lined with restaurants, pubs and attractive shops. The Magpie cafe is legendary, selling fresh local fish, seafood and other fine ingredients. The fish 'n chips are amazing (and you can take them away). The Shepherd's Purse cafe is lovely, and for fine dining, try Greens or the Horse and Griffin. Everything more or less leads down to the handsome harbour, where colourful fishing boats move in and out during the day. The ruined and utterly atmospheric abbey on East cliff is a must see. There are a sprinkling of amusements and pleasure arcades, with pleasure boat trips from the harbour but unlike other resorts they are merely a part of the history. Whitby is great for sun worshippers, beachcombers, hikers, bikers and Goths – who flock to the two festivals honouring the king of the vampires: Bram Stoker set part of Dracula here. There is a theatre and cinema. Surfers can ride the waves at nearby Saltburn and Scarborough. There are endless places to visit, including the unmissable Robin Hood's Bay, Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. Explore the wild North Yorkshire moors too. And finally there’s the all-important matter of fish and chips, and in Whitby you’ll find the best in the whole country.

We wish to thank-you very much for sharing your beautiful holiday home with us. The caravan and the site are fantastic. It was so peaceful and such a lovely view over the fields to the Abbey. We very much enjoyed the walk across the coastal path into Whitby, the view from up there is stunning.

Once again, thank-you and hope to return soon.

Thanks again Sue for letting me stay in your fabulous new static. Whitby is a great place with plenty to see and do and the static was perfect for me - a short walk to the coastal path (part of the Cleveland Way) and the town itself meant that my walking boots got well and truly dusted off! The view of the sea and the abbey was lovely and the facilities in the static were fantastic. It won't be long till my next booking I'm sure!

Your beautiful caravan was as lovely as we remembered. Everything was wonderful. Thank you.

Excellent caravan

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely week in this caravan. It is equipped to a very high standard with everything you need for a holiday. It is a quiet site on the edge of Whitby not far from the Abbey (which you can see from the caravan). We just wanted a short break not too far from home and this was the perfect location. We found it easily from the directions given. It was very clean and beds were made up and hand towel and T-towels provided. I would recommend this property for anyone wanting a base to explore the area or who just wants a peaceful break near the sea. We went to Bempton cliffs to see the sea birds and had a day in Bridlingon, Whitby itself of course which we love, went on to Sandsend one day and generally had a good break. Thanks a lot to the owners.

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

This is a really lovely holiday home just a short walk away from the Abbey and all that Whitby has to offer. It is a peaceful caravan site with no disturbances from the neighbours or the seagulls! Beautiful views over to the abbey and sea. Well stocked, clean, comfy and spacious caravan. Short walk to Saltwick Bay which is alovely secluded cove with lots of fossils to find. Owner is very easy to communicate with and very helpful. We had a fabulous week and will definitely come back again. Thank you!

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

We have visited Sue's caravan on numerous occasions with our dog Harley and every time we have not been disappointed, with either the location, the comfort, the contents and the feel of the beautiful caravan, the site is easy for access to the coastal path and route into fantastic Whitby! Sue has been in touch via e mail to confirm our bookings and everything has been first class. We will continue to visit for the foreseeable future!

Owner's Response: Norman, Joy, and their dog Harley, are the perfect guests. They love our holiday home, know the wider area very well, and have visited on several occasions. It's a real pleasure to know that they have fabulous holidays. We do want our guests to be happy and enjoy some of the stunning views, walks by the sea and home comforts that are in abundance. Let's hope the sun is shining for you on your next visit, as it so often is on the East coast and over Whitby.

Lovely Caravan in Beautiful Whitby

  • 5 of 5

We had an enjoyable family holiday in a lovely caravan, situated in Whitby. The caravan is like a home from home, fully equipped for all your needs and with the added bonus of central heating it is also ideal as our weather turns colder. The owner sue has taken great care to ensure that you enjoy your stay and is very easy to contact if you need to. The caravan site is very quiet and peaceful and has views of Whitby Abbey and the sea from the living room window, where you can see boats going past. Its about a 20 minute walk along the coastal path into Whitby from the caravan, with fantastic sea views or alternatively you can drive into Whitby which is only about 5 minutes. Whitby is a fascinating, historical place and the local people are very welcoming and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this caravan and Whitby and we are looking forward to returning next year

lovely Whitby

  • 5 of 5

My daughter, myself and my 2 grandsons had a lovely week in the caravan that we rented. Site was really quiet and peaceful and only a short walk of about 20 minutes to get to Whitby along the coast walk or along a path by the road. Caravan was very well equipped and comfortable. Sue the owner was extremely helpful (by email) with all the details of where to go and things to do. I would recommend this caravan for a lovely peaceful holiday and hope to return myself in the not too distant future.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review and the recommendation. I'm so glad you had a lovely holiday. We try very hard to make sure our guests are as comfortable as they can be, and all needs are met, in our contemporary caravan with sea and abbey views. In the two years we have been letting to guests we have not received a single, negative comment. You are most welcome to return any time.
