Very pleasing comfortable two bedroom apartment with balconies fully air-conditioned and equipped. The area is known for its famous fish restaurants, ideal place to relax and watch the world go by, or if feeling a little energetic, walk to the beautiful Marina of Benalmadena, or Torremolinos. Transport is in easy reach where you can go to Malaga Fuengirola or Marbella. Cariheulia is a little secret with a warming atmosphere, delightful shops catering for all needs, whether as a couple or a family people enjoy to return to the apartment, with words as. 'So comfortable, so easy' 'nice and clean' and 'so near to everything'. The apartment is on the first floor assessable by a short lift or stairs, it is the 6th flat to the right of the hall/corridor. There is parking available, car hire is easily obtained. Excursions are available locally to various locations such as Granada, Mijas, Morocoo, and Spanish Flamenco shows. Tivoli gardens in Arroyo de la miel has lots of entertainment.

About the Owner

I live in England, but enjoy to spend happy times in Carihuela. Avantage being it is just a short journey from Malaga Airport. I fell totally relaxed when entering the apartment confident that the apartment is clean comfortable, home from home.

I usually park my cases and within one minutes walk I get to the beach the fantastic restaurants and local shops to stock up on few groceries and fresh produce if I feel like cooking, but I say to myself, hey i'm on holiday and there are all these fantastic tapas bars around and cannot resist. You cannot beat the coffee and mouth watering cakes around. It doesn't take long to be comfortable in the area. And hey presto you don't have to go far to get back to the apartment. If you are interested in touring around there are many excursions at hand.

I bought the property for a family holiday home, being able to get to Carihuela without to much hanging around for transport and an easy journey from the aiport, and Carihuela is a little secret location that has it all. A great advantage is that my contact who cares for the property lives close by, speaks Spanish and English and can sort things out should you have any queries. I have been travelling back and forth many times during the years and never been bored yet!!! The beach is well equipped, and usually the sun shines, just strolling along the promenade watching the world go by is in it's self relaxing. There is an easy walk to a marina which is quite stunning. There is always plenty to do should you wish.

Coast/Beach:

One minute walking from the apartment is the beach. The sandy beach is family friendly, and ideal if you just want to laze and read a book or soak up the sun, easy reach to the restaurants all the beaches have beach beds, and guess what along the beach is a a beach bar with four poster beach beds!!! yes that's right with muslin drapes to shade from the sun, ideal if you want the children or you to have a snooze! Enjoy!

Travel:

Malaga Airport only approximately 15 minutes from the apartment, you can hire a car from there should you wish, but it is not essential.

If the Taxi Driver doesn't recognize Calle Miami say it is very near the Hotel Lago Rojo Carihuela ..your address will be Apartment Cayuco 106 ( first loor number 6 apartment) 9 Calle Miami Carihuela.

Distances:

Approx 2 miles from Torremolinos and Benalmadena. Short train journey from Arroyo De la Miel. Bit further is Fuengirola on the same Train Line

Malaga on a train journey the other way where you can get trains to a host of places in Spain. There is s central Bus Station in Torremolinos that you take you to many parts of the Costa del sol. or look out at travel agents for excursions to Morooco, or nearer Mijas and the wonderful Place of Rhonda. Very high!

Further Details:

Lots of banks near by, super markets, dry cleaning, restaurants catering for every taste. Brillaint beach bars serving tapas and you cannot beat the fish. Try some of the Spanish typical traditional cuisine... superb and the salads so fresh. Lots of gift shops and great fashion shops, lots of leather bags etc. You are away from the main roads so hardly any traffic near the beach and shop area. I would say it is comparatively a safe area but with all places keep you belongings close at hand. Local people are friendly and helpful, they always want you to come back. .

The apartment I love and come whenever I come its cosy comfortable and easy air conditioned in summer which also adds heat if required.. Electric hob cooker over, but I see its hardly used, which tells me excellent tidy clean holidaymakers or the Tapas and food available out side is excellent and easy.

but always make sure you take the apartment key with you (don't forget that one).I enjoy t train the train from Torremolinos and get off at Arroyo de la Meil good to walk around beautiful park, famous market on a Friday ( watch your bags as anywhere) then walk down to the beech and if you a feeling fit walk home along the beach Passing Benalmadena with the restaurants shops and beautiful port..

Catch a bus from the main road to Fuengirola or Marbella great just seeing all the views while not having to concentrate on driving then if a bit of time to spare lounge around Peurto Banus ( whoops! great for people watching) relax and enjoy with a your choice of cocktail. ( I cant wait to get back)

Picasso was born in Malaga, there is a museum dedicate to him there. the old town of Malaga is enchanting , and the modern side has all the stores and fashion you could wish for is. The well known store of Court Ingles is situation near the station at the end of the line at Malaga. There is also a station Malaga for busses and trains to go anywhere in Spain ( are you going to be coming back home with all this ?)

I could go on but I'm sure you will be enjoying back at the home base in Cayuco .have a glass of wine and contemplate the next day from the small balconies one leading from the lounge with seats for 4 and the other balcony leads of from the two bedrooms .

Do enjoy yourselves (remember I too live there on occasions through out the year) do tell your friends if you have had a good time , always good to have recommendations . Oh yes there are books to read, not all my choice but people seem to leave them because of the weight taking them back home that's why there is a wide selection . There are details of local interest with maps of local areas.

The car park is below the flat ...hire a small car,( will not park a Maserati or the like). Text or phone Aileen should you need this facility.

The apartment is very close to all amenities including internet cafe's where you can make cheap calls home. The apartment has Sky TV so you can catch up on your programmes, also CD player if you wish to take your favorite tunes. The air condition can keep you cool if outside is too warm. Oh don't forget the markets there is a list posted in the apartment of the locations and days they are on. Always remember to take your keys with you!!!! important...

This has not been very necessary as the beach is only a small walk away could be less than a minute.
