Well appointed ground floor apartment with access to outside space.

Spacious, tastefully decorated yet comfortable this property is fully equipped for self catering however a range of international restaurants are within easy reach. Although a one bedroom apartment it comfortably sleeps 4 and my brother regularly uses it for himself his wife and 2 children. I am disabled but apart from the 6 stairs linking the bedroom the lounge it is suitable for those with limited mobility like myself. It has a recently refurbished the bathroom is modern and new with a large walk in shower. No smoking please.

Please note that Vale do Lobo has recently undertaken work [2014] to the front and rear of the property providing more parking spaces therefore approach and rear view may be slightly different to those shown.

About the Owner

My husband and I live in the Cotswolds England and own the apartment together with my brother who lives in South Africa. We have been holidaying in Portugal for over 20 years before buying this apartment a few years ago which my husband calls his home in the sun. We visit at least twice a year to make sure everything is as perfect as we can make it. He says that it is like putting on a favourite pair of slippers whenever we arrive. I would hope that you enjoy this quiet and relaxing break as much as we always do but with lots to do with easy distance if that is more to your taste.

Lovely holiday home

We have stayed in this apartment on several occasions, no idea why it hasn't occurred to us to review it before. The apartment is beautifully equipped, modern bathroom, extremely clean and full of those extras which make it a true 'home from home' whilst you relax. We would agree that a car makes shopping etc easier but you can holiday here if you are fit enough and willing to walk around VDL. The Praca is about 20 minutes walk, maybe 25 minutes on the up hill walk back but is a good way of using a few of the calories gained whilst dining out, similarly you can walk to beach bars in about 30 minutes in the other direction, even the renowned Alambique is only a 20 minute stroll away, this time on the flat, you can always walk one way and taxi back or within VDL purchase a ticket to allow you to use the circuit bus. We do hire a car but we do walk a lot whilst staying here. There is terrace out the back well-equiped with outside furniture, well quiet and peaceful lying out here on your lounger!

To sum up we can thoroughly recommend this apartment.

Good value for money

We had a lovely stay at Vale de Lobo - the apartment was comfortable and well equipped and set in quiet surroundings. In our opinion, hiring a car is essential if you want to access supermarkets etc. The owner, very helpfully, gave us lots of information prior to our arrival and there were lots of restaurant recommendations in the apartment. The beach is wonderful, although a walk away, but with a car, several access points can be reached without having to pay for parking. A great apartment to have a lovely relaxing stay. Thank you.

However we have also received favourable comments from young guests who managed without. We aim to maintain the high standard of our home in the sun.

Location

From the Owner

After driving into the resort 20 years ago, in our dreams it was where we always wanted to own one. Buying with my brother made this possible. It is only 20 minutes from the airport, has beautiful beaches, lovely weather, fine food and everything you could wish for a relaxing holiday but with bars and restaurants within easy reach for a more active time. Only a 2.5 hour flight from a local airport what more could we wish for. A good local management company looks after the property and clients in our absence.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen changed once a week, and the property is fully valeted at the end of each occupancy.
