Ringers Cottage is a beautifully presented spacious brick and flint cottage which has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. It was built over a 100 years ago and was originally 3 cottages. It now has the advantage of 3 large well-proportioned downstairs living areas while upstairs consists of 3 attractive bedrooms and 2 bathrooms comfortably accommodating 6 people. In addition it benefits from a sunny private walled courtyard garden. It is a versatile property that would suit families, couples or a group of friends looking to enjoy a break in the beautiful county of Norfolk.

Two have king sized beds and the third room which has a Union Jack theme has twin beds. All the rooms have bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Notes on accommodation: Non-smoking cottage. Up to 2 well behaved dogs welcome by arrangement. Additional fee of £15 per dog. A stair gate is located at the top of the stairs. I Pod docking station Short breaks are available. Outside: Outside at the front of the cottage there is a lay-by for parking. At the back there is a large private high walled courtyard garden with table and chairs, sun loungers and a gas fired BBQ. It is a very sunny spot as well as being secure for both dogs and children! Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Luxury Egyptian cotton bedlinen and towels are provided as well as beach towels. The linen is changed once a week unless requested otherwise. The rental price also includes the cost of cleaning the property once vacated. Other: The dining room has a large pine table with seating for up to 12 - perfect for entertaining, with access to the courtyard through the stable door. A high chair is available.

A great cottage in a great location.

A beautiful cottage in a great location. Perfectly suited us as 3 couples wishing to spend new year together. Only downside was only being able to use one shower at a time due to water pressure. Everything else just perfect thank you.

Beautifully renovated character cottage

We were originally expecting to rent one of Nina and Stephen's other properties in the village, but when the one-bedroom was already booked, they kindly offered Apricot Cottage (a four bed property) at the same price!

Their kindness and generosity was not only evident throughout the booking process, but also in the welcome pack and bottle of prosecco awaiting us upon arrival. Much appreciated after a long hot journey!

This is a beautiful home with stunning kitchen, three good bedrooms on the first floor and a ground floor bedroom/sitting room conversion. The layout means that all ground floor rooms have patio doors leading onto the private cottage garden making the outside an extension of the entertaining space. There is a bbq which you are welcome to use, with coal and firelighters provided - they really do think of everything!

It is hard to think of a single negative to say about this charming property, possibly the only slight niggle was the lack of mirrors upstairs, but I eventually found one in the twin bedroom chest of drawers, enabling me to dry my hair! A very minor issue and only mentioned in the interest of offering a balanced review.

This is a stunning house with room for everyone, let by thoughtful and considerate owners. Book it with confidence!!

A beautiful cottage in a great location

We’ve just got back from a weekend here and it was really lovely. The cottage is beautiful - the photos don’t do it justice! It is full of character, very spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The location is great, we visited Hunstanton, Holkham and Wells, all within easy reach. Highly recommend this lovely cottage for a family break!

Lovely cottage

Fabulous cottage, extremely well equipped even down to the dog bowls! Lovely location, ideal for North Norfolk Coast. This was perfect for our family holiday, all the beds are so comfy with Egyptian Cotton Bedding and very clean throughout. Highly recommended.

Hello and welcome to our much loved second home in Docking. We chose this property not only because it is full of character but also because it is deceptively spacious, and comfortably accommodates our large family including Tilly our dog. We love the area because we are in close proximity to Burnham Market, Holkham, Wells-by-the-Sea as well as only 4 miles from the coast. We enjoy eating out and have been very impressed with not only the wide choice but also the excellent standard of the pubs and restaurants in the area. As a family we enjoy going out for cycle rides, walking Tilly along the coastal paths and exploring the many nearby towns and villages including Cley, Burnham Market, Wells, Holt and Holkham.

We love coming to Norfolk because of the fantastic beaches, beautiful scenery and the great range of pubs and restaurants. The pace of life is slower here which means we come away feeling relaxed and more refreshed.

What makes this cottage unique

The spaciousness of the cottage with its open plan layout downstairs gives it a unique feel for a character property. All roads in North Norfolk seem to lead to Docking making Ringers cottage an ideal base from which to explore the area.



Docking is very well situated for all the North Norfolk coastal attractions. Docking sits at the hub of the wheel and as such is circa 5 miles away from most parts of the North Norfolk coastline and the Georgian town of Burnham Market. Hunstanton, Holme next the Sea, Thornham, Brancaster, Burnham Deepdale and Burnham Market are all a short drive - approx 10 minutes or a healthy cycle ride away!


Docking is less than 1.5 hours from Cambridge and under 2 hours from Stansted. The East Midlands are also close by.

Further Details:

Docking has a local pub The Railway which serves good home-made meals. The fish and chip shop is only a 5 minute walk away. There are many superb pubs and restaurants with a 5 mile radius of Docking and details of these can be found in the cottage.

There are supermarkets at Fakenham (10 miles) and Kings Lynn (11 miles)

Nearest beach is 5 miles away at Brancaster.

Holt is 24 miles away.

Sandringham 8 miles away.

The Titchwell Bird Reserve is close by.
