The property has 3 good sized bedrooms. It has an open plan kitchen and lounge diner, a good sized utility room with separate shower room and WC. Outside there is ample terracing and a private pool larger than most. Outside of the kitchen door is a covered terrace where we dine and cook and admire the fantastic views. There is also a covered dining area with a poolside bbq, fridge and sink, great for those hot summer months when you can enjoy the view while cooking and at the same time keep an eye on the kids in the pool. The pool terrace looks out over the valley towards stunning mountain views. The garden is dotted in orange trees and there is also an ornamental cactus garden.

My name is Peter and my wife is called Vicki. We purchased this house eight years ago. The ad read turn this ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. This intrigued us, so we viewed it and were bowled over by its unforgettable views over the valleys and mountains. So 8 years on we believe we have achieved this. We have made very good friends with our neighbours who are German & Spanish. They will look after all of our guests, any problems he speaks Spanish, English and of course German. Klaus and Ani are very helpful and dear to us.

First of all we would like to express our sincere thanks for the marvelous holiday we could spend in the beautiful Costa del Sol area.



The house itself and the great outdoor area with the swimming pool was just the perfect pick for all of us. The youngster were speechless when they entered into Peter’s resort what they saw went beyond their expectations and the same happened to us. It is much bigger than the pictures show. The Kids loved to play in the swimming pool.

Short Half Term Break with Family

Our stay was everything we might have expected. The owner's agent, Klaus provided comprehensive support without being intrusive. The property was clean and well presented as were the outdoor areas and the pool. We used the house as a base to visit the Malaga mountains, the cave at Nerja and the beach at Torremolinos and spent a few hours at the pool each day. I would certainly recommend this property to friends travelling as a family group.

Alhaurin de la Torre - Well worth a stay.

Very impressed with the villa and unbelievable views. Stayed with my daughter and 2 granddaughters and found it impossible to get the latter ones out of the very welcoming pool. The whole setup was very clean and had everything one could wish for including a basic welcoming pack of bread, milk, beer etc. The 'caretaker' Klaus and his wife Ani was very helpful and the whole arrival and moving in went like clockwork. We found it an ideal base for touring around the countryside with places like Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Benalmadena and the like all within 15 to 30 minutes an easy drive away. A little further afield took you to Marbella and Estepona. I took my own SATNAV with me and found it very easy to operate and invaluable in getting you to wherever you wanted to go. We even visited Gibraltar-about 90 minutes away. In Alhaurin de l Torre the children found an ice cream bar with the largest selection of ice cream flavours I have ever seen, about 60. They were in paradise. All the facilities for preparing any meal are available at the villa including an outdoor barbecue but for those not relishing 'cooking' there are countless bars and restaurants nearby and for the more traditional UK visitors, about 10 minutes away situated on a large golf course is a lovely restaurant serving full English breakfasts, Sunday lunches, steak & kidney pie and other well known British fare all at very reasonable prices. In all the location was all that we wished for. The only recommendation I would have is to install air conditioning in the small 3rd bedroom as on a couple of days the youngsters found it difficult to sleep. Overall we gave it a big 'thumbs up'.

Amazing views, beautiful villa and great pool and outdoor space

We went as a group of 6 friends and it was one of the best holidays we had! We spent most of our time at the villa... Stocked it with food and drink and just chilled out. The pool area is great with plenty outdoor space ... Bbq, fridge, darts, big table for socialising. The villa itself is lovely as well... Real home from home. Everything you need. We also got to know Klaus really well. Such a lovely chap and very helpful. Can't recommend this place enough. And only 10-15 min drive from some of the tourist resorts where there are lots of bars and restaurants !!

Great place, great view, great stay.

Our stay at Peter and Vickis place in Alhaurin de la Torre was absolutely perfect. Close enough to both mountains, beaches and the city of Malaga. We stayed at the house for 10 days during christmas and new years eve and had a wonderful time. The view from the house and the terrace is stunning, with the sunning coming up on the mountains on the other side of the valley and the village of Alhaurin. The house is placed quite far up on the hill and on a dead end street which makes it very quiet and relaxing. The house is fully equipped, with three bathroom, nice beds, a big kitchen, washing machine and all you can possibly need. We got welcomed by a neighbor who showed us around and helped us out with whatever we needed. A very nice BBQ down by the pool made both christmas and new years eve dinner well worth remembering. Big thanks to Peter and Vicki to making our stay in Malaga such a joy. We’ll be back, for sure.

Our stay at Peter and Vickis place was absolutely

Amazing, spacious apartment

The photo's do not do this apartment justice, I came here with my family and the kids. The BBQ area was lovely and the kids loved the private pool, along with all of the outdoor areas this apartment has. The neighbours are so friendly and lovely, we would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing time and if you want to party, the local bars are not far at all.

Such a fantastic spot, 20 mins to the beaches of Torremolinos, 5 mins to shops and bars, 15-20 mins to airport,with golf courses close by. Lauro golf no more than 10 mins with its 27 holes set in beautiful parkland. Also, 6 more courses all under 30 mins drive, Gaudalamina, Alhaurin, Campo de Golf Parador, and of course La Cala and the Mijas complex with 2 championship courses. We also have the lakes of El Choro within 40 mins, where I have spent many days carp fishing and enjoying a nice refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters, great place for kids! Plaza Major offers 20 cinema screens, a large terrace courtyard with numerous and varied entertainment normally aimed at children early evening, but moves onto night scene with loads of clubs and bars and restaurants .

Special interest holidays:

The area of Alhaurin has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, so though untried I believe there is a lot of walking to be done! Check the area on Google.

Coast/Beach:

The vast Torremolinos golden beach stretches for 2-3 miles. It's very clean and has numerous chirringitos (beach front restaurants) with the traditional sardines boat - delicious! There are ample bars and restaurants on the famous San Miguel walk which winds its way up to the centre of Torremolinos - shopper’s paradise. I’ve normally had 2 or 3 beers on the way up to kill the pain of open wallet surgery performed by herself. The beach is 15 to 20 mins drive there are numerous others on Costa del Sol.

Travel:

Airport is 15 to 20 mins drive. I would strongly advise car hire. Taxis were 21 euro from airport in 2010.

Distances:

2-3km to village of Alhaurin de la Torre. Approx 10-13km to airport and Torremolinos.

Further Details:

In Alhaurin de la Torre you can find everything you need and would expect to find in a small Spanish town. There are several supermarkets and local markets on certain days. Parks for kids can be found up a lot of the side streets. There are no English style pubs but a lot of tapas bars and several restaurants to be hunted out.

This gives you the choice of peace and tranquility of the villa or 15-20 mins to mayhem in Torremolinos. 5 mins down the hill you have the beautiful palm lined roads of the village where you can enjoy local drinks and tapas in various bars, all very friendly. Numerous shopping opportunities for those inclined. This is real Spain not kiss me quick hat country, no Mcdonalds. Parks and play areas for kids on every street.

Have a lovely holiday.please note that the granny flat upstairs is sometimes let short term but has no impact on private use of pool or grounds or house. Outside: Pool is of larger than average size. It measures 10mtr x 5mtr. It is 3.3m in the deep end and 1.2m in shallow end, good pool for a swim. Garden is stocked with fruit trees and has a small cactus garden. There is a BBQ area and preparation area for cooking outside. Also a swing chair and a gazebo at pool side, plenty of sun beds, tables etc. Pool is private sole use. Garden is substantial approx 2000sqm. Utility Room: Utility room has washing machine, tumble drier and ironing board, irons etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is cleaned only on change over. We would expect clients to maintain a reasonable level of cleanliness. Bed linen and towels are provided for changing once a week. Towels for beach must be clients own property. Other: In lounge their is a further table and 6 chairs that extends to seat 8. The property has electric radiators to hall and all bedrooms and there. There is an ipod dock, dvd player, mem stick & card player.
