Overview

Property

Updated: 03-Oct-2016
Farmhouse in San Ginesio, Macerata, Le Marche, Italy - Totally Private Position, Yet just 20 Minutes Walk from the Historic Hilltown of San Ginesio

The house is an exceptionally comfortable and welcoming stone home, suitable either for families or up to four couples. Beautifully restored using original stones and beams, it looks out over the Fiastrone Valley to the Sibillini Mountains. The views from the terracotta tiled terrace are truly wonderful, particularly as the evening sun goes down over the Sibillini Mountains. The terrace looks down on the well stocked gardens and the totally private 10m x 5m swimming pool with several mature oak trees in the hectare of grounds. The house itself has been restored to create a welcoming family home. The metre thick stone walls ensure a fresh temperature in the summer and warmth in the winter, whilst every window is fitted with integral mosquito blinds to ensure your comfort throughout the day and night.

The farmhouse and location were perfect; a warm and welcoming base from which to explore the beautiful surrounding landscape and villages. The only problem being that two weeks went by all too quickly and all six of us could happy have stayed on for much longer!

Gracie Mille.

Thank you to the owners for allowing us to briefly share this perfect

Perfection

Our stay exceeded all expectations.

The House is beautiful and its location perfect ,enabling you to enjoy the feeling of privacy and real seclusion whilst at the same time being close enough to all that the stunning village of San Ginesio has to offer. We had an incredibly relaxing two week stay.

The Pool was a great asset ,clean and well maintained indeed some days it was difficult to drag ourselves away to explore the surrounding area .

The Standard of the fixtures and fittings in the House were very high and everything you could need was provided for..Hot water was plentiful and we had the choice of enjoying the luxury of a deep recuperating bath or a power shower .

The village was charming and very unspoiled offering great local produce in the shops and fine regional dishes and Pizza in the restaurants. The local people were really friendly and were appreciative if more often amused ,in our case , at our attempts to speak their language.

We made good use of our Hire car to visit other villages and the nearby Sibilini Mountains .

We would strongly recommend this house to both families and couples you will not be disappointed and we will return!!

Ticks all the Boxes...and some.

Beautiful holiday home in an idyllic spot.We enjoyed many meals al fresco on the well furnished terrace overlooking the pool and on towards the mountains, the only noise being the occasional cockerel in the morning and crickets at night. We made the most of eating at the house because the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare family meals and plenty of eating space in and out.Lovely fire place which I imagine would be lovely if it were cooler. All the bedrooms were really comfy and it was all set up for us when we arrived, no making up the beds!! Upstairs had a great tub for soaking whilst gazing across the fields....bliss. Only a very short hop in the car to pretty San Ginesio for shops and restaurant but we enjoyed being at the house so much we mainly stayed put.The kids loved the pool which was cleaned while we were there so was spotless

Would definitely book this house again if holidaying in Le Marche we loved it.

Heaven

A beautiful home on the edge of this charming town. Complete privacy, in a quiet landscaped setting. A complete retreat and getaway. Lazy days by an immaculate pool, long lunches with fresh food and great wine from the town. Lots of scope for exploring this magnificent and unspoilt countryside. We found a new restaurant every evening including some with the town square. All offered charming Italian hospitality and great food. We will definitely return many times. The listing is accurate and if anything too understated. You will not be disappointed, best villa/home we have ever used.

As well as its proximity to San Ginesio, Casa delle Querce is within easy striking distance of both the mountains and the sea.
