Details for holiday Granary Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms), 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4, 1 Bathroom
As with all the cottages, the living area is upstairs and has a bright airy feel. Floor length windows open inwards to reveal an ornamental balcony overlooking the courtyard, giving an al-fresco feel to breakfast or lunch on a sunny day. Then when the evening draws in, if the weather or season doesn't tempt you to a picnic by the river or a barbecue in the garden, light the woodburner and chat, play games or watch TV/DVD.
As with the other cottages, decor and furnishings are simply, stylish and functional, both upstairs and in the double and twin rooms downstairs. The bathroom has a bath with shower over.
The sheltered decked area outside is perfect for that barbecue. Sip a glass of something cool while cooking and let the children play on the lawn- or excuse yourself from barby duties to supervise them splashing in the pool or cavorting on the trampoline.
About the Owner
I (Carey Bruton) live at Trevadlock Manor with my husband Mickey and two children, Rory (18) and Lucy (16) and our menagerie of animals, Willy the dog (pointer/Vizsla cross - our 3rd child), two cats, two horses, two pygmy goats and two geckos! I grew up in Cornwall and Mickey who's originally from Essex came to know it and love Cornwall he's as much a local as I am. We all love this area of Cornwall on the edge of the moor in a completely unspoilt part yet within easy reach of both north and south coasts. It is our aim that guests who stay in our 4 star dog friendly accommodation set in 25 acres, get the most out of their holiday and see and enjoy the best that the county has to offer. We therefore are happy to recommend places to visit, eat, drink, walk, run, ride, sail, surf etc.
From the Owner
“Mickey and I fell in love with the land as much as we did with the house. I grew up on the South Coast of Cornwall approx. 45 minutes away, which is beautiful too but very busy. Neither of us knew this area at all and we continue to be particularly struck by how unspoilt it really is. Visitors tend to hammer on past on their way to the coast and this part is overlooked. As a result it retains a magical forgotten quality - as Cornwall used to be I imagine. The land is particularly beautiful, meadows roll steeply down to the River Lynher which trickles along sleepily in the valley. Magnificent oaks dot the valley, wild hedges, green lanes & woods eventually open up onto the moor. Despite being so remote it's only 1.1/2 miles from the A30 and easy to reach every part of Cornwall.”

From the Owner
“All our properties are characterful and comfortable. The wing of the house has ample space for relaxing and entertaining, and its unique atmosphere owes much to its Swedish interior designers. The cottages are converted from a row of C19th barns, and the upstairs living areas, mostly open to the rafters, are particularly light and airy. To those who know the moor, this side is considered to be the most interesting, with dramatic Tors and a plethora of interesting historic sites to take in as you walk ancient green lanes and footpaths. We sail on the South Coast, surf on the North- within half an hour either way. We are struck by the number of guests who comment how easy it is to get anywhere from here- and how nice it is to get back. Some people never seem to leave the place.”
