Modern, comfortable and well appointed luxury apartment, featuring a large 'L' shaped lounge/diner, two bedrooms -one en-suite- and a separate kitchen with breakfast bar and family bathroom. The apartment benefits from a large balcony which comfortably accommodates up to 6 people for those lazy alfresco meals whilst gazing down over the pools and taking in the panoramic sea views. The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a 3 storey block of 12 apartments on a small, quiet and airy development in an elevated position on the outskirts of an expanding village. There is a large free-form unheated communal pool, with a circular children's pool alongside and adequate sunbeds and umbrellas, Small children's play area. A unique feature of the development is the amphitheatre from which to watch those glorious sunsets. A superb location for those wanting a family holiday or those who seek a quiet and comfortable retreat in the sun.

About the Owner

I live in Essex, England with my wife. My wife is a Greek Cypriot by birth, and we still have relatives still living in Cyprus we try to visit at least twice a year. We had always dreamed of owning our own holiday home and with the relatives living there, and only a 4 1/2 hour flight from the UK, it seemed a natural choice.

Year purchased: 2005.

Why Chlorakas?

The expanding village is up in the hills so has some great elevated panoramic views from the complex, and it is quiet and yet only a 30-minute drive from Paphos airport. Their are a large number of bars, and many restaurants offering a wide range of cuisine only a 10-minute drive away. Small local beaches are nearby and the popular Coral Bay an 10-minute drive away.

Communication with the owner from the word go was excellent which always reassures us that we have made a good accommodation choice and we weren't disappointed! As described the apartment was spacious, well furnished and immaculately clean! The kitchen is well equipped with plenty equipment, and a quality Bosch oven which made preparing meals easy when too worn out to venture out of an evening. Having a dining table both inside and an on the balcony was a nice option if too hot to eat outside. The dishwasher and washing machine were very nice to have too!

The beds were all comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space and towels and bed linens were of a good standard. Great to have two bathrooms when it comes to evening shower time with a family of 4 also. The apartment over looks the pool and is by far the best view from the complex. The pool area was clean and plenty big enough to splash around in, play games, float on the lilo and swim. During our stay, we reached an all time high of 10 people in the pool at one time, so if you like to chill and enjoy your own space this pool is ideal …Somedays we had it all to ourselves! The complex is clean, quiet and peaceful, well maintained and parking underneath the block of apartments is secure.

We hired a car during our stay (which we would recommend), so never ventured out on foot from the apartment. We enjoyed being located away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Paphos, but only being a short drive away, close enough to pop down the road when needed. We found it’s location a good place to venture out from and took the opportunity to do so.

We had a great holiday and stay in this apartment and would recommend the apartment to family and friends.

We bought the apartment as our family holiday home. We chose the location as we fell in love with the quiet area and stunning sea views from the balcony. Additionally, although Chlorakas is a smallish elevated village outside Paphos, it is still quite central. Paphos International airport is only a 30-minute drive away. The harbour and all the bars and restaurants are only a 5-10 minute drive away, and the popular tourist area of Coral Bay a 10-minute drive in the opposing direction.

Special interest holidays:

The area is noted for its diving sites and one of the top ten sites is with a 45 minute drive. There are numbers dive schools along the coast catering for all skill levels.


There are a number of beaches of varying sizes within a 10 minute drive including the popular Coral Bay. Paphos has a number of public Municipal beaches which are also a 10 minute drive away.


Paphos International airport is a 30 minute drive from the apartment. Larnaca International is an 1.45 hour drive via a good motorway network. Car hire is recommended so please visit our own website for links - for discounted rates - to our preferred suppliers.


Chlorakas village is a 10 minute walk. Paphos town with its historical harbour and fort a 10 minute drive. The popular tourist area of Coral Bay is a 10 minute drive. Akamas National Park is a 45 minute drive away and is haven for wildlife and has many well marked nature trails with more demanding trails for the accomplished rambler. The Troodos mountain range is an hours drive away along mainly good surfaced roads. There are many small villages, monasteries and churches to visit en-route.

Further Details:

There is a small kiosk a 5 minute walk away. There are several other local kiosks stocking the basics who also carry top-up cards for mobiles. Within a 10 minute drive there are three large supermarkets with coffee shops in-house bakeries and butcheries. In the centre of the village are several bars and restaurants as well as two banks with cash machines. Additionally there is also a pharmacy, private clinic and dentist. The site also has an on-site small spa - appointment only. Within a 10 minute drive are many bars and restaurants providing a wide range of different cuisines and a trip to one of the many harbour restaurants for fresh fish is not be missed.

From the Owner

The main benefits of the apartment are the great panoramic views over the pools and down the valley to the sea. The block in which our apartment is located has best views of all. Car parking under the block at ground floor level. Lift access to all floors form here also. Additionally the complex is gated for security and access only via PIN or supplied remote fob. It is quiet and has a great pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Communal BBQ facillites are available.The balcony is full sun from midday onwards which is a real bonus.   • Notes on accommodation: A very comfortable apartment which is very much a home from home. Please visit our own website for more photographs and further information. Our local Property Managers are on hand in the unlikely event of a problem. Welcome Packs can be provided at additional cost. Outside: Large free-form unheated communal pool (max depth 1.86 meters) with access via circular Roman-style steps. Children's paddling pool alongside. Adequate sunbeds and umbrellas. Fresh water showers and toilets. The whole development is very well maintained with many well stocked flower borders along the paths and walkways as well as the main pool. The borders are backed by a number of well established trees. Larger sun deck area equipped with two purpose built barbecues, with table and chairs. Children's playground. Large amphitheatre. The development is accessed by a private road. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Beach towels, towels and all bedlinen provided, including sufficient for you to make a midweek change.
