1st floor apartment on the superb, luxury, Polaris World La Torre golf resort. The resort features an 18 hole, par 68, Jack Nicklaus designed course, one of the nine courses of the Jack Nicklaus trail. Located in Spain’s Costa Calida – the ‘warm coast’ and enjoying an average temperature of 21°c and over 300 days of sunshine a year. Only 20 minutes from Murcia’s San Javier airport, close to the stunning beaches of the Mar Menor and the historic cities of Murcia and Cartagena. This apartment is ideal for the dedicated golfer, or families or groups of friends looking for a relaxing break or as a base to explore this beautiful area of Spain. About Jean and Gerry Kneale

Hi, we are Jean and Gerry Kneale. We live in Amesbury in Wiltshire with our mad boxer dog Georgia. Gerry has recently retired from the Army and I have just taken early retirement from the civil service. If you book our apartment we hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do!

Why Jean and Gerry Kneale chose Cartagena & Mar Menor

We bought the apartment off plan in 2004 when it was still just a great big field and moved in 3 years later in 2007. We bought in this area because of the fabulous weather, the great beaches and the security of a gated community. It's location is ideal, quiet and peaceful but still close enough to towns and cities in the area.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is comfortable and well equipped with things we like to have in self catering accommodation. It has air-conditioning throughout and central heating so is suitable for year round use.

Notes on accommodation: Guests are requested to restrict smoking to the outside area where an ashtray has been provided. Outside: The comfortable lounge/dining area looks out onto the balcony, where there is seating for 4 to dine 'al-fresco' and 2 loungers for sitting back and enjoying the sunshine. There are also 4 folding sun-chairs that can be used by the pool-side. Utility Room: Washing machine. Iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, beach towels and bedlinen are provided. There is a compulsory cleaning charge of 60 Euros, payable locally to the keyholders, who will also meet you on-site and show you around the apartment.

Excellent apartment a real home from home.

This is our second visit but certainly will not be our last.

Gerry has thought through and catered for the needs of young and old with his amazing spotlessly clean apartment. After a week relaxing by the pool, sitting out on the spacious balcony and used the fully equipped kitchen we came home fully relaxed.

Gerry provided full driving instructions from the airport and provides a lift on arrival desired.

We were met very late into the evening by Vikki and Glen who could not have been more helpful.

I would recommend the apartment without hesitation if you are looking for a lovely place to stay.

Perfect sunshine getaway & close to Murcia airport

This apartment is perfect in every way for families, individuals or couples and it is only a short distance from Murcia airport; it is very comfortable and well equipt and has a large balcony/terrace overlooking a beautiful pool area and gardens.

If you're into golf you can play to your hearts content. If not the resort has two tennis courts and is beautifully maintained and feels very secure.

The large Spar supermarket on site is only 2 mins walk from the apartment and stocks fresh bread and pastries every day as well as much much more. There is a very good Italian restaurant, an Irish bar and a cafe overlooking the golf course where you can eat and drink.

To explore the local area and further afield you would need a car. Los Alcazares and San Javier are the closest towns with bars, restaurants and supermarkets.

We had a lovely relaxing break over the Easter holidays with our 13 and 11 year old boys. We would highly recommend this apartment and resort for a quiet getaway.

La Torre, July 2013

Lovely well maintained/clean apartment in a great location, within walking distance of the shops and town centre. The apartment had everything from shopping bags, cool bag to pool side chairs which made our holiday that much easier. Our children loved the wifi, tv and proximity to the pools. The Costa Calida is a lovely place to visit and there are plenty of things to do locally (if you want to) like water park, go carts, markets and fabulous beaches or you can just visit one of the many pools on site. We visited Los Alcazares many times to eat and recommend La Diva, Flavour and Route 66. Thanks to the key holders who were very friendly and easy to contact if needed. I will definitely recommend this apartment to my friends and would have no hesitation in booking again. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Refundable Damage Deposit £100

Booking Notes:
A non refundable £100 deposit is required at the time of booking, with balance due 4 weeks prior to departure. An additional security deposit of £100 will be held to cover against breakage and damage and will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure once the apartment has been checked. A compulsory cleaning charge of 60 euros is payable to our keyholder. The following can be provided for an additional charge (also paid locally)

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible, but guests are requested to vacate the apartment by 10am on the day of departure. A later departure time may be possible although this is dependent on existing bookings, please ask when booking.

Notes on prices:
Prices are per week in UK pounds.
Bookings of less than a week can be arranged and charged at £38 per night 1 October to 30 April and £43 per night 1 May to 30 September. Discounts available for bookings of longer than 7 nights. Please ask.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
