Apartment In Les Arcs 1800, Rhone-Alpes, France - Ski In Ski Out, Just Above Main Gondola Lift

Our privately owned direct to piste, two bedroom apartment is set over two floors in a great location in Arcs 1800. It is ideally located for winter ski or summer mountain holidays - only 150m from the high capacity Transarc Express lift and the same distance from local shops and bars. The whole of Les Arcs, as well as La Plagne and the huge Paradiski area, are on the doorstep. Ski on glaciers, explore extensive off-piste, cruise the 425km piste area through tree lined valleys and dramatic high mountains. The convenient location has the added bonus of a gorgeous bakery and deli just 5 minutes away. We have upgraded the apartment with a wall mounted flat screen TV DVD player, Music player (CDs and IPODs/I-Phones) and WIFI. French TV channels including the Les Arcs news/information channel. In the summer golfing enthusiasts will enjoy the 18 hole and 9 hole golf courses close by the apartment. Other Summer activities include tennis, swimming, horse-riding, mountain biking and canoeing.

This apartment is the pride and joy of our family, but we have letting it out successfully now for five seasons to people all round the world.

I live in England with my wife, 4 children. My wife and I both work, but we love to spend time in Les Arcs - and have really fallen in love with the place.

Why Trevor Wyatt chose Bourg-Saint-Maurice

We bought this apartment as it has two double beds upstairs, sleeps up to 7 max - and is very close (150 metres) to the main Transarc lift that takes you right up to the top of the Les Arcs ski area. The Les Arcs ski area with its access to La Plagne via the Vanoise Express, makes for a perfect location for skiing of all abilities.

What makes this apartment unique

We want anybody who uses our apartment to feel "looked after" and we have engaged a local English and French speaking key holder with their own mobile phone, who will support you during your stay. They are also a resident in Arcs 1800 so are on hand for any emergencies.

We had a great time and the location is perfect. The apartment is just what we wanted and the Bath was surprisingly comfy. I would have no hesitation to recommend it to anyone. it was clean and fully functional. Thanks again for letting use your lovely apartment. Steve

Notes on accommodation: No smoking in the apartment please (use balcony). We have an English and French speaking key holder who lives in Arcs 1800, and can provide help during your stay. Outside: Balcony - pretty, wooded outlook with mountain view. Chairs and small table on balcony. Close to nursery, kindergarten and ski schools. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen is included in the price, however, towels are not provided. Apartment should be cleaned as found, ready for the next occupant. Other: Parking is available. There is a parking charge levied upon entering Arc 1800. We recommend covered parking opposite the apartment, more expensive but easier to depart if it has been snowing heavily!

Beautiful location beautiful apartment. The best equipped apartment we have been to. Plenty of room to relax after a long day skiing. Location is perfect, so close to the lifts and with skiing out and in no slogging with boots and skies! all one needs to enjoy the slopes.

Nous avons trouvé tout ce qui était nécessaie. L'appartement est assez grand pour 5 personnes en vacances au ski (belle organisation de l'espace à l'étage pour les chambres).

L'appartement est très bien situé pour le ski, au pieds des remontés mécaniques des Villards

Travel:

Driving; Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon airports are all about a 2.5 hour drive. Chambery airport is nearest at 1.5 hours. You can train it all the way from London or Paris via Eurostar to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, and then take the Mountain Train (Funicular) from Bourg up to Arc 1600.......then the free courtesy bus to Arc 1800.

Distances:

20 minute drive from Bourg St Maurice - picturesque town with great restaurants (plus Macdonalds for the kids), cheap petrol and hypermarkets. Alternatively there is everything you need in Arcs 1800 within 10 minutes walking distance.

Further Details:

150m from central restaurants, bars, supermarket and shops. 150m from cable car, open summer and winter. Rafting-the Haut-Isere is one of the longest rafting courses in France, taking over 2hrs to complete. Tennis -30 courts. Swimming Pool in Arc 1800.

Booking Notes:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds sterling. Deposit of £200 for peak weeks, and £100 for off peak secures booking. Full rent payment is due around 2 months prior to arrival. Deposit will be returned within 3-5 days of departure, subject to the apartment being left as it was found.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Sunday. Rationale is that driving on Sunday through the Alps to Les Arcs is so much easier/far less traffic, and Saturday is a great ski day - slopes are clear.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
