Le Preyet is a large chalet style apartment building situated in the traditional Swiss village of Veysonnaz, Switzerland. Our apartment occupies the entire ground floor and includes a large balcony with outstanding panoramic views over the snow-capped mountains of the Rhone Valley.

The accommodation includes:

Large Lounge open plan with comfortable sofas dining and adjacent dining table.

Kitchen - fully equipped with all utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware including dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, fridge

Laundry - equipped with Miele washing machine and dryer

3 Bedrooms - including one double bed, one austrian twin bed and two single beds. An extending sofa in the lounge allows one additional person to be accommodated.

Towels and bed linen are available to rent. Towels @ £7 and bed linen @ £15 per person per week.

Family Bathroom - bath, washbasin & WC

Shower room - shower, washbasin & WC

Parking - there is a single garage beneath the apartment available for use by clients. There is also a dedicated off road parking space available on the road above property.

Rental Price excludes: bed linen, towels, tourist taxes

Winter Ski Season:

Veysonnaz has an 8 person gondola taking you to 2400m in a few minutes where you can ski the 4 Valleys including Verbier, Nendaz and Tzoumaz or simply explore the Veysonnaz ski area. The apartment is about 10-15 minutes walk from the lift station. There are ski lockers available at the lift station if you wish to leave skis/boots near the lift. There is also a regular ski bus service with a bus stop just 3 minutes walk from the apartment.

Summer Season:

Veysonnaz is a small authentic village located in the heart of the Alps in sumptuous surroundings only 13 km from Sion. The resort boasts a breathtaking panoramic view over the Rhone Valley and the surrounding mountains. This region of Switzerland is blessed with an enormous amount of sunshine where you can discover its countryside by taking part in the numerous outdoor activities available such as:

Walking and hiking - discover the excellent gentle walks along the Bisses (footpaths following ancient irrigation water channels) or take the gondola (check times/dates at www.veysonnaz.ch) to access high level walks and mountain bike trails (VTT). (Tour de la Printse and Tour de Mont Fort)

- visit the local markets in Veysonnaz and Sion for local artisan food and crafts

- visit the Grande Dixence Dam

- join the local 'Summer Fun' club

- tennis and table tennis

- mountain golf

- climbing - Via Ferrata

- horse riding

Fantastic apartment in stunning location

Having stayed at Le Preyet for just under 2 weeks in August I have to say it is the best Alpine apartment we have stayed in to date. The view across the valley to Nendaz was amazing and the apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped for our stay - a real home-from-home.

There are lots of walks along the renowned bisses across the valley but if you like more challenging walking, the cable cars from Nendaz and Siviez are a better bet - 15 minutes drive away. Alternatively you can just sit on the apartment terrace with a glass of wine and admire the views all day long.

In summer season there isn't much action in Veysonnaz (not a problem for us) but again Nendaz seemed to have more going on and could be quite busy.

The Manager Ruth who lives next door was amazing too, helping to find a local repairer for a puncture the morning of our departure ensuring we remained on schedule.

Overall a great family holiday.

Very clean with great view

We are a family of four (two girls 15 and 11) and the apartment was very big and comfortable for us.

Ruth was very kind to us, helped us a lot and was available on WhatApp - which is a great advantage. Graham was very fair.

The apartment is high on the mountain (~1200m) and the view is great and so is the weather in the summer.

But most notable thing was the clean - the apartment is extremely clean, most clean apartment we've ever been at!!!

Nice, cleanm cosy and spacious skiappartment - with an excellent mountainview

Me and four colleagues have just stayed in Le Preyet for a week (week 3, 2016).

The appartment was really nice and spacious - and with a stunning overview of the mountains.

We really loved it.

On the downside, there is a steep stairway down to the appartment (tests your breathing), and the appartment is on the other side of the city from the main lift in Veysonnaz. However - the skibus drives just a few minutes down the road, so that is really no problem.

The skiing-area in Veysonnaz is really nice, but the lifts are old T- and Platelifts. Only the main lift is new. The city of Veysonnaz should really invest in new lifts. It is needed. It takes about an hour to ski til Verbier, where they have new lifts all over.

Therefor we drove 25-30 minutes by car most of the days to the town of Siviez, where there is free parking all day just by the lifts (heading to three different areas).

However the entire skiing area (including Veysonnaz) is really excellent - for both new skiiers - and for us experienced. And wow - I don't think I have ever seen SO MUCH offpiste. There are offpiste all over the place. Excellent.

All in all - the appartment is really the best appartment, me and my colleagues (experienced skiers) have ever stayed in. Close to the small towncenter, but a little off compared to the lift. If you're travelling by car, you won't regret the stay.

We could have used a larger pot for cooking, but I guess that should be no problem.

Also - we had excellent correspondance with owner Graham. Answered any question fast and serious.

Enjoy your holiday - we sure did ;-)

Le Preyet is a great vacation apt.

This ground floor apartment makes a good impression from the start. It feels like home right after you enter and drop you bags on the floor. It is well designed: open plan for the kitchen, dining and resting area gives impression of space, while 3 bedrooms are privately aside. Adjacent to a large terrace green playground makes a fantastic place for kids to play outside under parental supervision. Kitchen is very well equipped and allows for comfortable cooking. Living room with fireplace is comfortable and cosy. Beds are very comfortable. Two bathrooms have all is needed and are clean.

This place is just right for two small families. For skiers: it is worth to rent a ski locker at the ski lift station as walking back and forth in ski boots with skis is quite a challenge especially with kids.

Overall we had a great time!!!

Excellent apartment and location

Can't say enough nice things about our summer holiday. Graham and Family provided us with all the information we needed to take advantage of this great area. His concierge was extremely helpful and gave us the local info which was great. The apartment is very well appointed a real home-from-home, the views are 'to die for' and the location was perfect. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 primary school children and enjoy walking, cycling and the 'great outdoors' and Veysonnaz does not disappoint in any way. We enjoyed fantastic weather. As seasoned caravanners it was a very different holiday for us and are really glad we choose Graham's families apartment. There are great walks on your doorstep along with amazing road and mtb rides and the gondola station connects you to so much across the Valley.

Nendaz is great for supermarkets and Sion is an amazing place with great swimming pool, Basilica and castle ruins.

Sit on the apartment terrace and take in the views or have a picnic at 2400m and breathe that air.

Highly recommended 5* and we have left much to do for another holiday next year.

Veysonnaz offers excellent skiing and links to the 'Swiss 4 Valleys' ski areas. In summer there are plenty of walks ranging from level walks along the 'bisses' to more chllenging hiking in the mountains. The opportunities for mountain biking (VTT) are excellent with many routes accessible using the cable cars/gondolas.

Nearest Airport : Geneva at 105 Miles Nearest Golf : Sion at 10 Miles Nearest Motorway : E62 at 10 Miles Nearest Restaurant : Good restaurants available in the village at 0.25 Miles Nearest Ski : 10-15 minutes walk - easy parking available at 0.5 Miles Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

Walking - there are plenty of walking routes many along level paths in the mountains. Many of these routes follow ancient water courses (Bisses) along level walking routes. In summer a 'bisse bus' allows you to connect to/from Nendaz using the 'Bisse' walking routes.

Cycling - from Veysonnaz you can explore the mountain paths by bike making use of the excellent lift system.


Getting there: Fly to Geneva from where you can hire a car and drive (2 hours) to Veysonnaz. Alternatively you can take the train from Geneva to Sion and then take either a Poste Bus or a taxi to Veysonnaz. Fly to Sion from Stanstead or City Airport (ski season only). Driving from the Eurotunnel takes around 8 hours (600 miles).


Travel times by train or car: Geneva 2 hours. Lausanne 1.5 hours. Montreux 1 hour. Martigny 40 minutes. Sion 20 minutes.

Further Details:

Winter: Veysonnaz has excellent skiing and good links to the world class Swiss 4 Valleys and Mont Fort region incuding Verbier. There is plently of skiing from Veysonnaz and if you want to explore other ski resorts in the area, you can travel (by car) to Arolla, Evolene, Crans Montana, Anzere, Grimentz, Zinal, Chandolin and St Luc.

Ski runs range from beginner slopes to advance off-piste for the more adventurous. Ski lessons are available as either one-to-one tutoring or small groups for all ages and levels of experience. English speaking ski lessons are available.

Summer: The village has local shops and there is a swimming pool within 10 minutes walk. The lift system is open in July which provides access to high level walks with outstanding views. There are a number of good level summer walks along the Bisses (ancient water courses). Cycle hire is available in the village - these can be carried on the lift system with some excellent circular routes including the Tour de Mont Fort in the Verbier region.

The Rhone valley is within 20 minutes drive. Here the city of Sion has good shopping as well as historic sites. The thermal baths at Ovronnaz or Saillon are also excellent summer and winter time activities. A trip to the Aletch Glacier and the Grande Dixence Dam is also well worth a visit.

In the event that access is limited due to snow, the apartment can be accessed via a private pathway and steps leading from the outside parking space above the property. Drive: You can also drive to the ski gondola in under 5 minutes where parking is free and normally plentiful.
