Two-bedroom apartment close to wide soft sandy beach. Air-con in both bedrooms.

It's just a five-minute stroll to Son Parc's large soft sandy beach with shallow waters, ideal for toddlers, extending several metres into the sea. 2018 will be the 16th consecutive year guests will have enjoyed holidaying at Els Vents 8. FREE Wi-Fi Broadband internet is accessed via a dedicated router so you can access email and view UK TV programmes via your laptop connected to the flat-screen HD colour TV (HDMI cable is supplied). DVD player (plays Region 2 DVDs). Galley kitchen, living area, bathroom with bath, w/basin, shower & WC. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, air-conditioning and fly-screens. Plumbed-in washing machine, iron, ironing board, airer / washing line, fridge/freezer, dining table and chairs, two comfy sofas and three portable fans. Two communal kidney-shaped swimming pools are right outside the entrance door. The large soft sandy beach is just a five-minute walk from the apartment. The bay at Son Parc is ideal for families as the sea is shallow for several metres into the sea, which makes it ideal for toddlers who wish to paddle. Shops and restaurants are all within a five-minute stroll of the apartment and so car hire is not essential. There is a reliable bus service to Mahon and neighbouring Fornells. All amenities are within walking distance of the apartment. However, a car is recommended if you wish to explore this beautiful island.

About Nigel McPheat

Hello. My name is Nigel and I live in Bedfordshire (UK) with my wife Linda who I've been married to since 1980. Our two daughters, Claire (born in 1984) and Naomi (born in 1987) are both married...Claire to Rob and Naomi to Martin. Both daughters have flown the nest and we're fortunate enough to now have two grandchildren, twins Joel and Rose, who were born to Claire & Rob in June 2015. Claire is now a full-time mum in Devon. Naomi is a primary school teacher in West Sussex.

We purchased Els Vents, 8 in 2002 after having holidayed in Menorca several times previously. We like the resort of Son Parc because of its natural beauty, soft sandy beach and sheltered bay. The Els Vents apartment complex is rarely busy which means the two kidney-shaped pools are often empty. Son Parc, located midway along the north coast of Menorca, is an ideal base for exploring the whole island. The south-coast being only 9 miles away and the towns of Mahon (to the east) and Ciutadella (to the west) both less than 15 miles away. The 18-hole golf course at Son Parc is just a five-minute drive from the apartment or a twenty-minute stroll. There are a handful of bars/restaurants locally and many more dotted around the island which are well worth a visit.

A great apartment in a great location

This apartment was great, clean and tidy and had everything that was needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location was ideal to explore this lovely island by car. It was really peaceful and so lovely to be able to open the door and have a choice of two swimming pools within just a few feet. The owner was great and went out of his way to make the booking and our stay as easy and hassle free as possible. Thanks Nigel

Un paraíso en Menorca

Ha sido maravillosa nuestra estancia de 8 días en Els Vents 8. El apartamento es precioso, no le falta el mínimo detalle. La piscina espectacular, sobre todo de noche toda iluminada. Al salir del apartamento ya se ve la cala, Arenal de Son Saura, una playita tranquila y familiar. Todo ha resultado perfecto. Volveremos, sin duda, y ya lo estamos recomendando a nuestros familiares y amigos.

Fabulous resort and apartment

We have stayed at El Vents before and were extremely happy to return. We love the resort and the choice of two pools at the apartment. Most of the time we had the pool to ourselves and enjoyed relaxing and playing around the pool. The apartment is ideally situated to the beach, only a couple of minutes walk and you are on the soft sand. The sea was warm and very shallow, ideal for little children who want to play in the sea and stay safe. The apartment was very clean and tidy on arrival and is well equipped. The booking process was easy to follow and the owner very helpful. We hopefully will return.

lovely clean had every thing we needed and morel

The apartment was clean and tidy and outside the grounds and the pool was well maintaned and very clean. son parc had some lovely places to eat with good food the beach was one of nicest i have been to shallow for the kids and no stones. Beach was very clean a great place for familys .Went out on the local buses very easy and cheap to get around. nigel was helpful and kept us up todate it was our first time of booking this way always done package holidays .will use nigels property again and recommended it to family and friends.

Coast/Beach:

A two-minute stroll will take you to steps that lead down to the large soft sandy beach at Son Parc, where toddlers can safely paddle. Pedalos can be hired and there are ice-cream kiosks situated at either end of the beach. At the closest end of the beach there is a bar/restaurant which serves snacks, lunches and evening meals. The crystal-clear sea at Son Parc is excellent for snorkelling. Coastal paths, in both directions, lead to neighbouring coves / bays.

Travel:

The apartment is located only 22km from Mahon Airport.

Distances:

With a hire car, it is possible to reach any part of the island within 45 minutes of the apartment. There are dozens of secluded beaches dotted around the coast of Menorca. The apartment contains several guide books and maps to enhance your holiday experience.

Further Details:

Within easy walking distance of the apartment there are supermarkets, bars, restaurants and entertainment. Also, free wi-fi internet access is only a five minute walk away. The local bars show sports broadcasts on large screen TVs. Secluded beach coves can be reached on foot from the apartment.

Fees No additional mandatory fees

If your holiday period covers two different weekly rates, please divide each weekly rate by seven to obtain the nightly rate and then multiply by the number of nights for each rental rate period.

We have no fixed changeover day so you may arrive and depart on any day of the week. Arriving guests cannot normally access the apartment before 14:00. We ask guests to vacate the apartment by 10:00 on their final day in order that the apartment can be prepared for the arrival of the next set of guests.

Prices are based upon up to four persons. A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. The 75% balance becomes payable 60 days before the start of your holiday. For bookings made within 60 days of the departure date, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.

  • Notes on accommodation: Very well-equipped apartment located just a five-minute stroll from the superb Son Saura beach at Son Parc on the north coast of Menorca. The apartment sleeps four persons in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. If you have a baby, a cot and highchair can be hired for £15 per week per item. Guests have been staying in the apartment since 2003 and many have been kind enough to send us their feedback. Please visit the "Guestbook" on www.apartmentmenorca.com Outside: There are two kidney-shaped communal pools located on the Els Vents , located within just a few paces of the apartment's entrance door. The apartment has a private east/south-facing patio area with portable BBQ. There is a patio set, with table, four chairs, four sun-beds and a parasol. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath towels, hand towels and bed linen are supplied. If your stay is for 10 nights or more, all towels and bed-linen will be changed after 7 nights. Guests need only bring beach towels.
