About Simon smith

My wife and I live in Surrey with our two boys aged 12 and 15. We bought our home in Portugal in 2006 having fallen in love with the Western Algarve. Unlike the golden triangle the west remains relatively untouched. It has magnificent beaches which remind us of Cornwall only with guaranteed sunshine! The locals are incredibly hospitable and particularly welcoming to young families. We love the host of different activities from body surfing, to golf, tennis and dining out at some fantastic fresh seafood restaurants all within very close drive of the house. As a keen golfer I am now lucky enough to have played most of the fantastic Algarve courses.

The Perfect Holiday...

Lovely house, very spacious, secure and quiet. We travelled with our 10 yrs daughter and spent quite a bit of time around the communal pool close by the Spa and golf club where our daughter met many new friends. Too many restaurants that are a short drive away to mention, beaches fabulous!

We were well looked after with the local agent who is very responsive if you have any questions, problems whilst away.

Highly recommend!

Beautiful place to unwind

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house, it was bright, spacious and close to amenities. One of the most beautiful beaches is within 10 minutes drive. The food was amazing, highly recommend "The Dolphin" restaurant in Luz! I feel that the photos on the website do not do the house and area justice.

Perfect for families with children of all ages looking for relax time and fun activities for the kids.

Great Townhouse

Stayed here with family for 2 weeks. Lovely house - plenty of space for 6 people. Very close to all amenities and good views over the golf course.

Excellent beaches within a few minutes drive. Lagos about 15 minutes by car.

There is a great restaurant (O'Tiago) also within walking distance, which is a bonus!

Lovely villa, great location. Stunning roof terrace with views across the golf course. Numerous beaches within a 10 minute drive. Very child friendly. We have already booked this villa again for this year.

There are a huge number of wonderful beaches all within a short drive. The nearest beach is Salema which can be reached in less than 5 minutes. The city of Lagos with its majestic marina can be reached in 15 minutes.


The nearest airport is Faro which is less than 1 hour's drive from Parque Da Floresta. Car hire is recommended.


5 minutes drive to Salema, 15 minutes to Lagos, 10 minutes to Luz, 30 minutes drive to Zoo Marine and the famous water parks. Multiple golf courses all within 30 minutes drive. Some of the best surfing beaches in the world can be found less than 20 minutes drive away - Bordeira, Amado, Castelejo.

Further Details:

The local supermarket which provides a wide selection of fresh produce can be reached in 2 minutes by car.
