A delightful 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. In the desirable Les Mouilles area only 7 to 10 mins walk from centre of Chamonix. The apartment enjoys a very quiet rural position with superb views of the Chamonix valley from all 3 balconies. Bedroom 3 has a double bed, or 2 singles so 2 additional persons or children may be accommodated. Downstairs there is a dining area and lounge with wood fire and full kitchen. Bathroom and separate WC. Upstairs there is a gallery TV area. The property has a garage for skis and parking.

About Simon

Bought originally as an apartment for our own use, but have now chosen to rent the apartment ourselves to ensure the standards are kept high. We are both working in the service industry and understand what the people would wish for in their holiday experience we will endeavour to please. Notes on accommodation: The apartment lends itself to 3 couples or 2 families of 4. This is a no smoking apartment. No pets without prior arrangement. Outside: Balcony surrounds the property. Outside chairs and table for eating out, southwest balcony great for sun downers. There is a large single garage for skis and laundry and parking for one car. More parking is at the end of the lane. Utility Room: In the garage there is a fridge/freezer washing machine and tumble dryer, + 2 high chairs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and Linen included as is standard clean after the rental.

Absolutely incredible apartment and owners

From the very moment we booked the apartment Simon and Alex who own the place were absolutely brilliant. They responded to any queries we had immediately. The apartment itself is in the perfect location, just on the outskirts of chamonix everything in the town is only a short walk away. There's a lovely pub / restaurant just at the end of the road so if you don't want to go far there is food on the door step. The apartment is really comfortable, we were 5 girls and there was plenty of space. The beds are super comfortable, all of the bedding is amazing and really cosy. There's a lovely wood burner, comfy couches, blankets and pillows to curl up on after a hard day skiing, everything you need is here. There's also a garage to store all ski gear! We will definitely be back

Lovely cosy apartment

The apartment was clean and comfortable. It was well equipped and very warm. It was about 10 mins to town center, Simon was great to deal with and we were met on arrival...all and all it was a great place to stay.

Great Chamonix Location

We went in July 2015 and had superb hot sunny weather for the two weeks.

Chamonix is fantastic in summer.The apartment is really well located, just a 10 minute stroll from the centre and the cable cars. We could easily walk to the Climbing World Championships in the square.The apartment is clean and well appointed.

It is very useful having parking in the garage. You can get quite big vehicles in but it is fairly tight.

There is a nearby patisserie shack to get croissants in the morning.

We did quite a few walks from the top of cable cars and we would recommend that you work out how many of the main cable cars you will want to use and get a multi-pass for non-consecutive days’ right at the start. It is likely to be at least 4 – 5 days.The scenery around Chamonix is absolutely stunning. Going up the Aguille de Midi is a must.You’ll be surrounded by a mass of tourists but also serious climbers going out onto the ice.

The white tops look stunningly beautiful but unless you are very experienced and competent, you cannot even begin to walk on them. They are completely different from the snow on UK hills because they are ice and glaciers which are really quite dangerous. We heard huge avalanches when we were up there.

We would thorough recommend the walk from Plan de Midi to Hotel du Montenvers and the tunnel into the glacier. We’d recommend the cable car to Col des Grand Montets but also the cable cars up from Le Tour to the Col de Balme where there is a gentle stroll across alpine meadows into Switzerland. There is just a refuge/café and no boundary other than a small post.

However the best thing ever is the tandem paragliding from the top of the Planpraz cable car which you can see from the apartment. You book it at the end of the road and land in the field also just at the end of the road. If you want you can quite easily fly over the apartment on your way in! It is breathtakingly superb.

As it was so hot we went to the Lac de Passy where the kids went on the inflatable playground for hours. A fresh-water and warm lake with superb views of Mont Blanc.

We also went white-water rafting and did quite a few low level valley walks as any climbing or even walking at mid-levels was quite wearing in the heat.

We drove down from Roscoff but next time we would probably fly and hire a car because Geneva is only about an hour or so away and the roads are pretty easy driving even though people are saying it was very a busy time when we visited.

We have just come back from a fantastic week in chamonix, from the first email with the owner to getting the keys off the friendly meet and greet.

The location is superb, and the apartment is spacious and well kitted out with everything you could possibly need for a great stay in the mountains. We have only been back for a day and are now thinking about going on a summer holiday out there.

We loved it here.

The town, the people, the atmosphere and the apartment all played their part in a wonderful week away.

We don't usually spend a great deal of time in our accommodation when we're on holiday so our main criteria is for it to be within walking distance of bars, restaurants, activities, a supermarket and transport links.

This apartment surpassed all our expectations.

In fact, it was so comfortable we found ourselves lingering there in the mornings as we drank coffee on the balcony while soaking up the views and even chose to head back there for late lunches and cosy dinners when we would normally have been hitting the bars.

When we did head out to party the ten minute stroll into town was perfect for us as it meant we could enjoy the Chamonix nightlife without having it outside our bedroom window at 2am.

A great apartment in a great location and somewhere we're already planning to go back to.

lovely apartment

Our family of 4 had a super weeks holiday in this lovely apartment. It had comfy beds, hot water/showers, excellent kitchen and wonderful views. The garage was handy and the location perfect , just a 10min stroll into the charming village of Chamonix. The owner and local meet and greet were very helpful and helped make our stay very enjoyable and relaxing. There is loads to do in the valley, walks, bike rides, climbing or simply enjoy the views and sunbathe.
