Seaside House, ideally located on the outskirts of Seahouses, fully refurbished in 2014, this tastefully decorated property benefits from a peaceful location, yet within walking distance of the harbour, beaches, golf club, and the village with it's many pubs, restaurants and shops. At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from the harbour. The stunning Bamburgh castle and it's beautiful beach is only 3 mile away, and the historic market town of Alnwick, with it's majestic gardens and castle (used in many movies including Harry Potter), is only a short drive. The heritage coastline is dotted with more castles, beautiful beaches and fishing villages, as well as Holy Island.

The Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National park are also close by, as well as the border towns of Berwick and Coldstream. Newcastle and Edinburgh are also easily accessible. Seaside House is an ideal property to stay. Arrival time after 3pm. Departure time 10am.

Lovely stay in Seahouses

Nice House, very well equipped, comfortable, situated in a nice quiet area very handy for all that Seahouses has to offer and would defiantly recommend it, try Neptune's for your Fish & Chips and the Olde Ship Inn is defiantly worth several trips!!-only place I've ever found Sagres Lager on draught outside of Portugal!!

Home from Home

Well appointed house with good facilities, great location. Seahouses is a lovely resort with lots of great eateries and many places to visit nearby. Elans with BYO wine for £1 is excellent, Pinnacle fish & chips were good, the puffins were fabulous. Alnwick Gardens were well worth a visit. We also caught the service bus to Berwick for a change.

Great holiday property.

We had a great holiday, in a lovely cottage, in a fantastic location! The house is well decorated and maintained and is close to all the amenities that Seahouses has to offer, including numerous restaurants/take away's, a supermarket and shops. It is also a great base to explore the area from. We have visited this area on numerous occasions and always enjoy Bamburgh Castle and its beach and the coastal walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. We have enjoyed meals out at The Links Hotel on steak night (Wednesday) which is highly recommended, although booking advised as it does get busy and The Barn at Beal which is a little further afield and overlooks the causeway to Lindisfarne. Overall, we would recommend the accommodation to family and friends and would hope to stay there again the next time we visit Northumberland.

excellent holiday property

even better than description. location excellent for being near coast path and village. layout really good, their being three toilets and other excellent facilities. beds very comfortable, mattresses good quality, plenty of soft towels provided. well maintained . plenty of outside furniture. manager next door. would definately recommend .bamburgh and lindisfarne well worth visits. food at castle inn bamburgh and neptunes fish restaurant seahouses very good.

Great Stay!

We stayed here for a 3 night break between Christmas and New Year and would highly recommend this property. We found it spotlessly clean and very welcoming. We had champagne, biscuits and chocolates waiting for us which was a lovely treat. The property is very well equipped and both bedrooms were well furnished and comfortable. The house is a 10 min walk from all amenities in Seahouses itself and is very close to Bamburgh which is great for a day trip. The owners communication at all times has been very prompt and they even posted an item back to us which we had mislaid. Thanks again and we would not hesitate to return.

Ideal for walking all year round. Ideal for wildlife enthusiasts, a large seal colony and many seabirds, including Puffins make their home on the Farne Islands, which is accessed from Seahouses harbour. Ideal for cyclists, with many cycle paths in or around Seahouses.

Coast/Beach:

Seaside House is approximately 300 yards from the cliff top with walks north and south along miles of beautiful unspoilt coast and beaches.

The village is approximately 600 yards from the property (10 minute walk ).

Travel:

Seahouses is approximately 50 miles north of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and 80 miles south of Edinburgh.

Distances:

Bamburgh (3 miles), Alnwick (15 miles), Low Newton-by-the Sea (7miles).

Seaside House is available on a weekly basis all year round. Short breaks are available off-peak, on request.
A deposit of £100 is required, paid either by bank transfer (preffered) or cheque, with the balance paid at least 6 weeks prior to arrival date.
Changeover Day is Saturday. Arrival after 3pm and departure is 10am.
