Our non-smoking south facing apartment is ideal for couples or families. It is perfectly located in the quiet L'Eclose area of Alpe D'Huez. All the apartments in the block are privately occupied or rented (no tour operators in the block). Situated only 100m from local restaurants, ski hire, mountain bike hire, ESF (French ski school), supermarket and bakers. The resort centre is no more than an 5 minute walk. The south facing private balcony has great views over the valley. Free outdoor parking is abundant around the apartment block (with a small private car park exclusively for apartment block guests).

About Jenna Goth

We bought our apartment in 2007 and have used it extensively for the winter and summer seasons. We love the quiet location and views from the balcony, watching the sun set with a glass of wine! Due to the expected arrival of our second baby this December we are continuing to rent our apartment to pay for all the future ski-ing lessons!

Why Jenna Goth chose Huez

Our apartment is situated in a lovely apartment block, that is well maintained and not used by tour operators. It is a short walk to the lift in the morning and benefits from ski to door in the evening when your legs are not so fresh! Although our apartment is in a quieter area of the resort it still benefits from close proximity to lifts, a number of ski rental shops, launderette, Spar shop, Bakery and a number of restaurants. As many people who have rented our apartment have noted the views from our south facing apartment are spectacular and is probably the number 1 reason why we chose our apartment.

A studio apartment that uses the available space very well. stunning view from balcony.

  • 5 of 5

Had a fantastic week here, short walk to nearest lift and ski in on the way back. Eclose has good supermarket and a few restaurants but stand out is the cafe Chez Bibi. Very welcoming and fantastic atmosphere. Bus service is good, and punctual.

A small radio would be good for hearing local forecast etc, but other than that this apartment was spotless and well equipped. Can definitely recommend.

What a view!

  • 5 of 5

Good communication with owner throughout the booking process, great directions to get to the apartment. Apartment was very well equipped for a holiday, although we spent more time sitting on the balcony enjoying the views. Parking, shops and mountain bike area very handy, would like to come and visit in the winter too

Great cosy alpine apartment

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed a great week in Alpe d'Huez staying in this fab, cosy apartment (as a couple). It was a compact studio apartment but had everything we needed, and in a nice quiet location 5 minutes walk from one of the main streets in the resort. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived, and the ski in/ski out was perfect. I would recommend this lovely property for couples, or a couple with small children. It might be a little cramped if you have teenagers! All in all a lovely stay, would definitely come again.

Such a cute apartment!

  • 5 of 5

Three of us stayed in this apartment in L'Eclose, a short walk away over the slopes to the main high street in Alpes D'Huez. It perfectly suited our needs and was such a reasonable price. From the boot room it was only a short walk to ski down to a ski lift which took you to the main area. You can also ski to the boot room straight from the lift which was amazing.

There is also a food shop very close to the building, along with ski hire and some fantastic restaurants. I would happily recommend this flat and resort, we had such a good time. We ate in a couple of nights and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Would definitely rent this apartment again!

Skiing Alpe D'Huez

  • 4 of 5

The owners responded quickly to our initial enquiry and provided clear and comprehensive information about the apartment and its location. We drove to Alpe D'Huez and found it quite easily. The apartment was clean and well equipped (we took our own linen, etc.) although there was no TV/DVD player. It was ideal for two adults but in addition two young children could be accommodated in the bunk beds. L'Eclose is away from the main part of the resort, which we liked as it was quieter, but within easy walking distance. Locally there was everything we needed - ski hire, well stocked supermarket, restaurants and take-aways. A 25 meter walk from the ski locker room took us to where we could start to ski. Return was right back to the door.

Alpe D'huez ski trip

  • 5 of 5

There was a rapid reply to our information request and we quickly agreed the booking. Information and access details followed as arranged in good time.

The directions from the bus were easy to follow, we arrived in the middle of the day and the apartment was ready to occupy.

The apartment is very well located:

There are shops immediately opposite, including bars, restaraunts, hire shops and a supermarket.

For skiing, a 25 metre walk to access the first lift and we were able to ski right back to the locker room door

Inside there is plenty of plates, cups, cutlery etc, helpfully an extension with UK sockets available and cleaning equipment and products there.

We took out the linen option and all was absolutely fine.

Thoroughly good week and we would go back.
