The house is located in a gated complex with a large adult pool and smaller children’s pool. Offering off road parking and surrounding patios with table, chairs umbrella and sunbeds. There is also a roof terrace for those who like to sun bathe in private and enjoy the mountain and sea views. It is only five minutes walk from the long blue flag beach, ideal for swimming and long walks. Bolnuevo is busy in August as this is when the Spanish take their holidays but the rest of the year it is quieter.

BEST TIME EVER!!!

As a family of 6 (2 grandparents, 2 40'ish parents and 2 girls 12 & 8), this was the 5th time we have visited Bolnuevo in recent years, and all thought this was the best holiday by far!! Dave & Emer were very easy to deal with leading up to our holiday. On our arrival, we were met with a really clean & tidy house, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay (the aircon was a welcome treat). The weather was fantastic, and due to the outside layout we always had plenty of shade when we wanted it. Staying for 12 days, we made the most of the pool and couldn't believe how quiet it was for August... such a welcome relief from packed pools and the dreaded 'brits abroad'!! WIth the smaller supermarket really well stocked nowadays there isn't really a need for a car, although there is a bigger supermarket only 10 mins away, with a much bigger selection of meat & fish... all you need for a bbq back at the house.

We feel as we are getting to know Bolnuevo more and more now, and is perfect for our want of a relaxing holiday. The bars & restaurants locally are good, and if you want more choice, Puerto de Mazarron is only a short drive / bus/ land train away. The beach is fantastic, and is literally 5 mins walk away, with plenty of smaller bays a short drive. We all felt as though we were borrowing someone else's well looked after home from home rather than just renting another house somewhere. Although we want to shout from the lovely roof terrace just how fab it was, we do this fairly quietly, as we don't want anyone else to book the dates we want next year!!!! Can't wait to return in 2017!!!

Location

We decided to buy our house after friends of ours had already purchased a house in the same complex and had told us about the spanish resort of Bolnuevo. Whilst viewing properties we visited the beach and local spanish restaurants and found the place to be pleasantly unspoilt and very Spanish. Once the complex was open the kids loved the pool and we could keep an eye on them, knowing they were safe because of the lockable gated entrances. If you like cycling , running and swimming as we do you will find the climate and scenery hard to beat (bikes can be hired locally).

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The long beach is five minutes walk away and is credited with a blue flag. There are also additional beaches and coves which are 20 minutes walk or five in a car.

Travel:

There are two international airports San Javier (Murcia airport) which is 45

minutes away and Alicanti which is 1.5 hours away.

Distances:

The Puerto de Mazarron is ten minutes away by car and has more restaurants and bars as well as a stylish new marina. Sunday the Puerto hosts a large and

colourful market with a wide range of produce from fruit, shoes, clothes and jewellery.

The City of Cartegena is forty minutes away and has some lovely architecture, shopping and a busy port with many restaurants and bars. For walkers and nature lovers , the Sierra Espuna National Park is 25 minutes drive away.

Further Details:

There are some lovely local spanish restaurants along with English and Chinese which are in very close proximity along with a supermarket, beauty saloon and pharmacy.

The Puerto de Mazarron is five minutes drive away by car and has many more. Restaurants and bars as well as banks, shops, skuba diving, wind surfing

and the wonderful new marina. For those family days out there are water parks, zoos, bowling, horse riding just to name a few activities in the area.

  • Notes on accommodation: The patio is private with lockable gates leading to road and pool, making it safe for children. the patio surrounds the three sides of the property and is furnished with patio table chairs and umbrella. There are two sun loungers. A spiral staircase leads to the bedrooms/bathroom with additional WC downstairs. The property has a no smoking policy and no pets are allowed. Outside: There is a large area around the house where children can play and for private sunbathing You can park your car within the lockable gated drive if you wish. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Property is cleaned prior to arrival, and may be cleaned during the rental period for an additional cost. Bed linen and towels are provided. Other: External shower room (ideal for showering after the beach) and washing basin.
