This luxurious 2 bedroom apartment, with pool-view balcony accessed from the living area, furnished to the highest standard with all mod cons and air conditioning and offers a real home from home within a beautiful, tranquil setting. The gated complex occupies a peaceful location on the edge of the village next to the recently built University of Lancashire. Only five minute drive from the sandy Blue Flag CTO beach and the cosmopolitan town of Larnaca with many beaches, restaurants and shops. Just a short walk away is the traditional village of Pyla where you will find a range of tavernas and shops, one of the few places where Turkish and Greek cultures mix. Suitable for couples and families who want outstanding accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts. This is an excellent location for exploring the rest of the island - within half an hour you can be soaking up the sun on stunning Nissi Beach, discovering one of the many sites of cultural interest or having fun at a water park.

About Alison Heath

Dave and I live on the outskirts of Shirley, near Solihull. We have run our own businesses for the last 25 years and have 3 children aged from 15 to 23. We don't manage to get away as a family too often but when we do we need somewhere that suits everyone. Cyprus is perfect for that and our beautiful apartment has everything we need in a brilliant location. We really look forward to our precious time away when we can recharge the batteries. It's a real 'home away from home' only better because the weather's beautiful and we can spend some quality time together.

This year our parents came out with us and loved it too.

Why Alison Heath chose Pyla

We found Pyla village to be an ideal spot to see all the best Cyprus has to offer. We love the fact that we're close to the beaches, the shops and restaurants and the lively resort of Agias napa with the water park is only 1/2 hour drive - or Nicosia about 45 minutes, but we're in a quiet relaxing village with everything we need. At night we like to explore and go for a traditional meze or try the Turkish cuisine , there's plenty of choice in the local villages - but also like to simply cater for ourselves and sit on the balcony soaking up the evening sun and the peace, while the children play tennis or make the most of the pool.

What makes this apartment unique

We can fly from Birmingham which is ideal for us - but there's plenty of options now that the low cost airlines go to Larnaca and Paphos - sometimes we have come out for just 4 nights to have a quick break in the sun. Pyla is only 15 minutes from Larnaca airport and we can arrange for you to be collected by a friend or have a rental car waiting. The complex is so peaceful and of such a high standard - a real pleasure to be there. Everything you need is right there but at the same time you are not in a busy resort - just a quiet village a few miles from the sea.

Notes on accommodation: Heating and air-conditioning in all rooms, this 1st floor apartment, access via lift or stairs is accessed via an intercom system therefore suitable for children with a fully enclosed balcony overlooking the tennis court and pool. The communal pool is a great environment for children with a babies pool and shallow end, all enclosed in the complex with electric gates. There are maps and guide books and a welcome folder packed with local information. This complex is largely considered to be one of the finest in the Region. Outside: The pool-view balcony is furnished with Rattan table and 6 chairs. The apartment is set in well maintained gardens around the lovely shared swimming pool - loungers and sun umbrellas are available. The complex is very peaceful and you will often have the pool area to yourself, other than the main high season. There is plenty of parking, many in the shade. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels ( hand, bath & pool) and linen all included and pre-stay cleaning of the apartment. Extra cleaning during the holiday can be arranged to suit.Starter packs od groceries can also be ordered in advance and charged at cost price. Other: Security door to apartment block with intercom/buzzer system and lift. Secure car parking. Air conditioning in each room which also acts as heating if required during winter season.

This is our 2nd year coming to this wonderful apartment. Once again our family was not disappointed. The apartment has all modern facilities that you need . In the height of summer the Air Con is a must and this works excellent to keep all rooms lovely and cool. The apartment has beautiful views overlooking the Tennis court and the pool area. The pool area is great as it's very quiet so no problems with sun beds as you can take your pick at any time of the day. Excellent nice small village near to the complex to eat out at night and to try the local cuisine (Happy Nest is a must). It's also only a 5min drive until you come to a few Bars/Cafe and night life.

Thanks again to the owners Alison & David from 1st email they were very easy to deal and with quick to respond. We hope to be back for a few more years to come.

Apartment it is in the village pyla .. location not bad this time a year no place to go out near to eat .. everywhere 20 min drive minimum...

Apartment comfortable ... clean .. tidy .. nice big balcony..nice security gate to access

Only swimming pool not wasnt clean and had mould inside ...

Wifi need to share with another neighbour..

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback - We do say that a car is a necessity, but I think 20 mins is rather exagerated - there are places along the coast road and neighbouring villages closer than that which are very good for evening meals out, and the closest beach is less than 5km. I was very concerned to hear about the pool though- We spoke to the site managers about that to ensure that if any issues they'd be rectified pronto ( they don't expect people to want to go into an unheated pool in November - but they don't understand the resilience of us British people , it should be available all year round even though unheated!) . The wifi is indeed shared , it's not something we advertise as a feature of our property , it's just something we've arranged to help out our guests now that most families want to be able to use their smart phones through wifi rather than phone networks.The signal is plenty strong enough as it's literally from the next apartment. I'll certainly take on board the comment re: directions .... I will update them as the University wasn't there until last season,so thanks for giving me a fresh perspective .

Lovely apartment

This lovely apartment at Pyla Gardens was ideally situated for us...close to fabulous beaches, Larnaca was only a 20 mins drive away and it was very near to our son and his family who live in Cyprus. It was well equipped and the balcony was enjoyed for breakfasts and in the cool of the evening. It was extremely good value.

Closest beach approx 5 minutes drive - Cyprus Tourist Organisation maintained beach.


The apartment is approx 20 minutes from Larnaca airport (a straightforward journey). Cars can be hired from the airport or we can also arrange a private pick-up at a cost of £20. EasyJet now fly to Larnaca so look for great deals. Also try Monarch and Thomsonfly. Paphos airport is an alternative and is approx 1-2 hours away. Car hire is recommended.


Pyla village is a 3 minute walk. Seafront and Dhekelia Road 5 minutes by car. Larnaca 15 minutes by car. Ayia Napa, Nissi beach and water park 30 minutes. Oroklini 5 minutes drive. Large supermarkets available 10 minutes drive, local supermarket within short walk.

Further Details:

There are a number of excellent local restaurants serving Cypriot specialities and 'meze' dishes which are incredibly good value. Details of restaurants are available in a folder within the apartment, along with general tourist information.
