This is 3 bedroom terraced house in a 5 star gated community built by multi- award winning construction company Euromarina. It has 2 balconies, a covered porch, front and back gardens and on street parking. The 5 communal pools are open all year and have a life guard in summer. Nearest shop/mini supermarket, pharmacy, post office/internet cafe, dry cleaners, Italian restaurant and British cafe within a 5 minute walk.

About The Owner

My family all love Spain for the hot sunny climate and the excellent food. Our house is situated in a 5 star closed community. It is very safe and family friendly. Your stay here can be as fun, active, cultural or as relaxing as you like. We tend to go for relaxing on holidays, apart from swimming & cycling & the kids love the aqua parks and the many markets. We also like to fly to Madrid, Valencia or Barcelona first for a bit of culture and then fly or drive to Alicante, which can be cheaper than the train.

Why The Owner chose Torrevieja Area

We chose this particular part of Spain because it is so easy to travel to. The climate here is perfect- hot and dry. It is fanned by the Levante wind which also makes the heat easier to bear.

On the beaches you feel as though you really are in Spain as families from Madrid tend to holiday here in greater numbers because it is the closest coastal area to the Spanish capital. This means that you have a great choice of authentic Spanish restaurants. It also means that there are plenty of local 'Fiestas' to enjoy.

What makes this villa unique

We bought this house because we loved the very Spanish look of the houses. We love all the balconies and the garden spaces front and back. Also the pools are beautifully shaped with magnificent landscaped sun bathing areas.

Nearest Airport : Alicante at 40 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Cooper's Arms at 400 Metres Nearest Golf : La Marquesa at 4.5 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : AP7 at 21.5 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Antica Italia at 400 Metres Nearest Beach : Moncayo or Guardamar at 9.5 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

Nearest beach, Playa Moncayo, is a 7 minute drive away. It is quiet and visually unobtrusive. There are 2 kiosk bars here. Double sunbeds with curtains (perfect for parents with babies) can be rented.

Next closest beach is in the town of Guardamar which is overlooked by lots of bars & restaurants. The drive here is 10 minutes from the house. Torrevieja is large bustling town, also a 10 minute drive away and has lots of man made swimming areas built alongside a promenade.

Travel:

Ciudad Quesada is a 36 minute drive from Alicante airport along the A-7 & AP-7. Take the exit 745 for Torrevieja Norte. There is a new bus service to Torrevieja & from there you can take a taxi, a 22 minute drive to the house. Murcia airport is a 32 minute drive along the AP-7 and the exit is also 745 for Torrevieja Norte. There are 2 tolls on this route. Check google maps for alternative routes. A car is recommended.

Distances:

Aquapolis water park, Torrevieja 10 km.

Elche UNESCO hertige city, 36 km.

Orihuela is a small historic town and a huge date palm grove, 24 km.

For flamingos visit:

Parque Natural de El Hondo 24 km.

Parque Natural de La Mata-Torrevieja & Laguna Salada (Salt lake)17 min drive 44 km

For Salt lake visit Parque Natural de Las Salinas de Torrevieja 9 km.

The Historic city of Cartagena is 72 km.

Free natural mud baths of San Pedro del Pinatar are 32 km away

Further Details:

The nearest shop/mini supermarket and pharmacy is a 5 minute walk from the house. There is also a post office/internet cafe, dry cleaners, Chinese restaurant, Pizza restaurant and British cafe in the same location. A further 10 minute walk takes you into the centre of Quesada. It has several banks, pubs, restaurants and car hire companies as well as an English bookshop, petrol station and both a private & public health clinic.

On the outskirts of Torrevieja, 10 minutes drive away there is a large shopping centre, Las Habaneras. Here you will find Carrefour supermarket. There is another supermarket called Consum in Quesada, a 5 minute drive from the house. Lidl is also in Quesada.

Activities in the area include - a small water park in Quesada and Aquapolis in Torrevieja.

There are several golf courses locally, for example La Finca, Villamartin and La Marquesa.

Hotel La Laguna offers Spa treatments for residents & non residents and is a brisk 10 minute from the house.

You can go horse riding locally as well as cycling along the cycle track into Torrevieja. Quads can be rented, just look for the large signs along the roadsides.

There is a protected area called Las Salinas de las Matas where you can see flamingos. Sea salt is mined here. About half an hours drive south past Pilar de la Honrada and before the Mar Menor are mud baths which are said to be therapeutic and are free!

The beautiful & historic city of Elche is 30 km away. The entire city is a Palm grove. It is a world heritage site worth visiting.

Also worth visiting is the town of Orihuela- the last palm grove before North Africa and birth place of Miguel Hernandez, famous Spanish poet. This beautiful town is situated between the mountains & the sea & is only 20km west of Quesada.

There are lots of hidden gems waiting to be discovered, just check out any of the many tourist sites or trip advisor.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day preferibly Saturday or Sunday during high season. In low season we can be flexible.

-Air-conditioning cards costing €10 can be bought from the keyholder

Notes on prices:
Prices are given in weeks, in the high season we prefer bookings of 7 days, 14 days, 21 days etc. so incomplete weeks will be charged as full weeks.
In the low season flexibility is possible.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
