The choice of Portugal fits with all of the attributes I look for in an holiday abroad such as being friendly, safe and modern in addition to being affordable with good weather and food. Culture, history and beauty are other factors I consider.

I like it so much that I have purchased accommodations for myself when visiting and to make them available to other visitors for the remainder of the year.

Another wonderfull stay

This was our 3rd stay at this apartment. Sofa beds have been replaced with fantastic new ones and are very comfortable. Unfortunatly we cant make it back next year but hoping to return the year after. Close to the beach,shopping and the bars, fully air con'd and has everything you need. Ray is fantastic to communicate with and very helpfull. We would highly recommend using this apartment .. Thanks Ray :-)

Perfect holiday property

I would highly recommend this property both for apartment and location. The owner and Odette who met us on arrival could not have more accommodating from time of booking to when we went home, allowing us to check out late due to having an evening flight. The apartment was of high quality and comfortable and was perfect for our needs. Location to beach and restaurants could not have been any better and would stay again without hesitation.

Fantastic holiday!

We had a lovely week at this property! We arrived early before the appartment was ready but the cleaner allowed us to drop our bags and change in to our beach clothing which we thought was very kind. When we returned, the appartment was very clean and well equipped.

It is very close (less than a 2 minute walk) to a lovely sandy beach, which stretches for miles with lots of cafes and shops. We stayed with 2 our little girls who also loved it, there was even a body board and a bucket and spade to dig in the sand, (we left a few little toys there just in case somebody else comes after us with little children).

A supermarket and a bakery are on the ground floor of the building with a good selection of food and drink but be aware that they do not allow you to take rucksacks in to the store with you!

There are too many restaurants to choose from on the sea front so we can't say which is the best but we enjoyed our meals out at the places we visited.

We have already recommended this appartment to our family and we are planning to return in two years time.

Second Visit To A Lovely Apartment

Just back from our second stay at Ray's lovely apartment.

As always this apartment ticks all the boxes. Clean and well equipped(nice new sofa beds), right on the doorstep for the beach,eating out and the supermarket/shops.

Once again Odette was on hand to answer any questions we had.

We will be booking again for next year.

Very nice apartment in a central location

The apartment was very well equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday. It was bright, clean and spacious with plenty of seating room. The wifi had very good speeds.

The communication from the owner was excellent right from the start of booking the holiday and he provided us with links to plenty of information in his emails.

Just around the corner there is a good supermarket with everything you would need. It is centrally located, so plenty of places around to eat, drink and shop.

The nearby beach was really nice to spend time on or just to walk along the promenade. Villamoura is only a pleasant 45 minute stroll and well worth visiting or you could take the bus from the nearby bus station very cheaply. Or a taxi from the bus station.

As the apartment does have such a central location the traffic noise from early in the morning is apparent.

If you are looking for a holiday with everything on your doorstep then I would highly recommend this lovely apartment.

Great return visit

This is our second visit to the apartment in Quiterria and it felt like a home from home . It is a fantastic apartment for a couple very modern and clean. It is about 50 yards from the beach and all your restaurants and bars. We will definitely return here again.

Location

From the Owner

As I mentioned above, Portugal is one of a handful of countries that our family choose to spend part of the year. Quarteira is the location of one of the residences I stay when visiting this beautiful country in the Winter months. I like its simplicity, convenience and location. With supermarkets and the daily fish and vegetable market very close by and the peaceful but colorful environment created by all the foreigners spending part of their winter there.

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

From your building, you can reach: Within 400m - The Beach, Daily fish market at the fisherman’s marina, or the large pedestrian boulevard by the sea filled with events, art, food, and beach activity and the pedestrian's only streets of old Quarteira.

Your suite is located within 100 m of one of the more desired areas of the long beach of Quarteira. Walk to be beach in your swimming clothes.

Travel:

Main Airport is Faro International.

Its located at about 30 kms from residence.

A taxi fair is around 30 Euros.

While not necessary, renting an automobile is optional, should you choose to visit the region.

From your building, you can reach:

Within 400m - The beach, daily fish market at the fisherman’s marina, supermarkets and specialty stores, pharmacies, banks, many restaurants and take out food, art galleries, post office, pedestrian boulevard by the sea, the historic pedestrian's only streets of Quarteira.

Within 3km - Famous Vila Moura marina and complex (about 1500m), international golf courses, water parks, hospital, museums, theaters, formal dining, the historic village of Vila Mou.

Further Details:

You will be able to walk to most of the local stores, restaurants and other services as well as to the beach. Renting an automobile is optional, should you choose to visit the region.

Quarteira is known for the sun, the beaches and the people. It is as well an exceptional town to spend some leisure time in the fall and winter.

A frequent destination for retirees, seniors and those looking for relaxation by the sea in a moderate winter climate and in a very friendly and safe town. We welcome monthly rentals in the fall and winter. These are offered at a very reasonable rate.

Bright and spacious, with wall to wall windows, it offers you an unobstructed view of the main avenue of Quarteira. This condominium building is located in a most desirable area of this beautiful city by the sea, a short walk to quality supermarkets, daily market, a pharmacy and take-out or dine-in restaurants. Look down the street to take a peek at the beach; it's about 100m away. Throughout the Summer you will discover many local events, outdoor shows, art expos, theater and an enjoyable tourist atmosphere while strolling the beautiful streets and boulevards by the sea. Walk to the Vilamoura Marina Complex along the coast (less than 1.5 km) or just walk down to beach for a stroll past the many specialty restaurants, ice cream shops, bars and interesting stores and activities.
