Casa Cerro d'Alcaria is a beautiful and spacious villa set in a very pleasant and peaceful rural hillside location on the edge of the small village of Tenoca. Lovely private pool and sun terraces with a secure garden. Delightful views across the surrounding countryside and five minutes walk to village centre which has a couple of small bars and two good quality restaurants. Superbly situated and only 10mins from the closest beaches, world class golf courses and water park. Vilamoura marina and Loulé market town are only a short drive away. It is only a short distance (2.5km) from the traditional Algarvian town of Boliqueime with white washed houses, and a central church in a cobbled square. Boliqueime has cafes, a bank, small supermarkets, health centre, post office and a pharmacy. Air conditioning is available in all bedrooms. WiFi access available.

CHANGEOVER DAY: Saturdays only in the peak summer months [for other periods please check with owner - we will be as flexible as possible]. We do have details of local hotels/inns that guests have stayed in around rental dates.

We have holidayed all over the world but kept returning to the Algrave - loved the country, the weather, the beaches, and the people, and always instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived! We had started to look for a place of our own and fell instantly in love with this villa - within 5 weeks of shaking hands it was ours and we have not had one single regret since - its wonderful! I am a nurse manager and Pete is a pharmacist - and we take the rental of our villa very seriously and do our utmost to ensure you have a great holiday.

Why Judi and Peter Ingram chose Loule region

We have stayed in the Almancil area of the Algarve (we love the golden triangle) for a number of years and just love the variety it has to offer - close to everything (beaches, marina, market towns). This villa is built to a very high quality specification and is in a lovely peaceful rural setting but close to all holiday attractions and amenities.

What makes this villa unique

The villa is located just outside the small hamlet of Tenoca, near Boliqueime. It is in a very quiet rural setting but only 10 minutes from the main towns and beaches. The villa is very spacious and furnished to a high standard and has all the facilities you will need while on holiday. It is very private and not overlooked and 'really is away from it all'. It is within walking distance of two fantastic restaurants and a local cafe.

The gardens are well maintained, secure and child friendly. The pool side terrace provides welcome shade from the hot sunshine, with a decking area for sun worshipers!

The girls enjoyed swimming (it was not too cold for them :-)) and being able to watch their favourite cartoons.

For us, your villa has been all about relaxing by the pool with a good book.

10km (10mins max) from the nearest lovely beaches.

The Algarve has some of the best beaches in the world - with a huge variation ranging from wide stretches of sand to secluded bays. The nearest beaches area 10 mins drive at Olhos de Agua or Falesia. All the beaches have excellent restaurants and bars.

Travel:

Nearest airport Faro airport. Distance from airport 28km (about 25 minutes), via the EN125 or A22. There is easy access to the N125 and the A22 motorway from which you can explore the Algarve. Car hire is recommended due to villa's rural location.

Distances:

On edge of small rural village of Tenoca. Only short distance (2.5km) from traditional village of Boliqueime. Vilamoura marina, beaches and historic town of Loulé are only a short drive away (10km). Nearest shop is in neighbouring village of Alfontes, which is a couple of minutes drive, or a 15 minute walk. Within an hours drive to the west lies Lagos and the windswept Cape St Vincent. To the east is the interesting town of Tavira and the Spanish border is also about an hour's drive away.

Further Details:

A bank, local supermarkets, chemist, local restaurants and cafes at Boliqueime 2.5km (ten minute drive). The villa is located in the Central Algarve with shopping centres, water parks, golf courses, lots of wonderful beaches, and a hospital in an area of 30km.

Well equipped villa in a quiet rural location.

An amazing well equipped property that truly suited our needs as we were attending a wedding in the vicinity. Judi and Peter were really helpful and answered all our questions about the area and what was available to us. They also kindly recommended restaurants for us for a special dinner we were organising (try Wildfire Smokehouse in Quarteira). Most days were spent at the villa as it is in a quiet area so perfect for chilling and relaxing around the pool. Our family had a brilliant week and would not hesitate to return.

Excellent, well equipped modern villa.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa. The villa is very clean, modern and very well maintained. The villa is suitable for children having a gated pool and the property is very secure with electric gates and electric shutters. Our 3 boys (ages 2, 8 & 11) enjoyed the pool although they did find it slightly chilly at times. The owners provided very good customer service and the villa contained a very informative folder with info on local restaurants/places of interest. Unfortunately the local restaurant within walking distance of the villa has closed but may open next year. There is a local cafe within walking distance which sells delicious fresh cakes. The villa is very close to Vilamoura where there are plenty of shops/restaurants. We also visited Zoo Marine, 20mins drive which the kids loved. We would recommend this villa to family and friends who are looking for a more rural location but within easy diving distance to busier resorts.

Perfect relaxation!

3 weary women wanted to do nothing in the sun for a week - we couldn't have picked a better villa to do it in! It is as lovely as it looks/is described, very well designed, tastefully furnished and equipped with absolutely everything you need - at this point I feel I must mention the lilo that one of our number spent any happy hours on in the pool! The directions provided make it a simple drive from the airport, there are a range of supermarkets within a few kilometres (but not one in the village anymore) and a local cafe/bar. Best of all, if you're a "foodie", there's the Birds Nest restaurant 5 mins walk from the villa - walking back is harder!!

We could have done without the neighbours TV interrupting our afternoon snoozes on the sun loungers but other than that I can't think how it could have been improved. In the only problem we had all week was having to leave at the end of it!

Truely stunning and totally perfect

This villa is beautiful. Large, spacious, beautifully furnished everything we needed was provided from pool toys, DVDs, books, games to ice packs for the cool box! Everything was perfect - the luxury of the spa bath, walk in robes, cool contemporary furnishing, really comfortable beds, and so much space, it was just a delight to be there. It was cool inside even when the temperature is burning outside, there is aircon in every bedroom and there is plenty of shade outside if required. The pool was extremely clean and well maintained. The garden is a delight.Overall stunning, the best villa I have rented in 10 years of using owners direct! Locally a short walk away is the Birds Nest a very beautiful restaurant. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and come back myself. The only criticism is that its so lovely its a little hard to motivate yourself to leave!

Hi my family stayed here for three weeks. Every year we try new towns and villas this year was one of the best villas and priced we have stayed in .the place was very peaceful town and local bars very good, sort drive to beaches and all other places .the villa was very safe and hope to stay again . Booking Notes:
A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking. The remaining balance is due six weeks prior to arrival. Cancellations must be in writing and within 8 weeks of arrival date.
