Luxury apartment in York, Yorkshire, England - short stroll from the City Centre

A short stroll from york city centre, the perfect location for your visit to the many and varied attractions of york. Set in a quiet residential street, just right for a relaxing stay, whilst only a few minutes walk into the historical city. There you will find restaurants, cafes, shops and the visitor attractions that york is famous for. The apartment has two modern, spacious double bedrooms. A fresh family sized bathroom with shower and bath facilities, we also have an extra separate toilet. The large lounge has a flat screen tv, along side a dvd/blueray player, and a selection of dvds, books and board games. The kitchen is fully equipped with dinning room table and chairs and there is access from the kitchen through to the pretty garden and seating area. We also have private off street parking. The property is in a quiet residential area and we ask all guests to respect other residents and keep noise to a minumum at all times, if you wish to party late at night we respectfully suggest you look for an alternative property, thank you.

Fantastic place to stay

Our second stay at Mike and Yvonne`s great property.

As before spotless and everything you need for a real home from home trip. The little touches such as loads of fresh towels, the welcome pack with coffee, tea, biscuits and a bottle of wine just set this place apart from so many others. Cannot recommend this place enough, it`s so well located and yet very quiet, the apartment is very spacious and comfortable. The two bedrooms are both lovely as are the living room and kitchen. The bathroom is large and having bath with overhead shower is great as most places just have a shower, and also having a separate second loo is so handy. The car parking to the rear is a real bonus. I have been going to York for many years and this is the best place we have ever stayed by a country mile.

A Pure Gem

This is the second time I have stayed at this property and it will not be the last. Mike and Yvonne have gone to great lengths to make it "a home away from home ". As soon as you open the front door you can feel the inviting warmth. Congratulations Mike and Yvonne you have got everything right for the traveller. This property is a pure gem and I highly recommend it.

Excellent holiday home in the heart of York

The apartment is extremely well equipped, beautifully furnished and decorated and spotlessly clean. It is a comfortable and homely base to explore York, which is only minutes walk away.

Mike and Yvonne provided a lovely welcome pack and responded promptly to any queries we had before, during and after our stay.

We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Incredibly well equipped, clean, convenient

This flat was a great find. Perfect place to spend holiday.

Very short walking distance to York centre - we only used the car once all week.

Very clean, incredibly well equipped and all essentials (soap, tea, coffee etc) there when we arrived.

Thoroughly recommend staying here.

Lovely week in beautiful York

First of all, I chose the property based on the reviews, and it certainly did not disappoint. In fact it surpassed my expectations. The house is situated on a quiet street. We could walk to the centre of York in 10 minutes. Restaurants, pubs, convenience store, beautiful streets, the river, York Minster etc. were all within a short stroll.

The house had everything we needed and more. It was a home from home for us for the week. We could sit around relaxing all day if we wished. Parking at the property was safe and secure. The supplies on arrival of tea, milk etc. and the lovely touch of biscuits and wine were really nice.

We took day trips to Harrogate, Knaresborough and Whitby, all of which were really interesting. There is so much more to see and do in York and its environs that I do not think it is my last visit here. I would definitely recommend York for a place to visit and this property particularly if you like to relax in tastefully decorated comfortable surroundings.

Simply perfect

Perfectly located for a stay in York, in a quiet area 10 minutes walk from the City Walls.We parked the car up and didn't use it at all during our stay. The accommodation is comfortably furnished and beautifully clean, it really felt like home from home, so much so we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be going back!!

York is a wonderful vibrant city surrounded by beautiful countryside and major visitor attractions... its possibly the best place to live in the UK.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

York is ideally located to visit attractions such as the North Yorkshire moors (Heartbeat country), Scarborough (40 miles), Whitby (Dracula town). Easy access to Victorian Harrogate and cosmopolitan Leeds and its superb shopping and big city experience. Castle Howard is a short drive away and well worth a trip out.

Travel:

Leeds Bradford airport is approx 45 mins drive.

Manchester airport is approx 90 minutes drive.

York city railway station is approx 15 mins walk or 5 minutes in a taxi.

Distances:

Leeds is approx 30 miles away.

Harrogate is approx 20 miles away.

The east coast and Scarborough is 40 miles away.

Castle Howard is approx 10 miles away.

Further Details:

There is a well stocked small supermarket just 6 minutes walk away and where some of Yorks best hotels are located ,The Grange Hotel, Churchills Hotel and York Registry Office, St Peters and Bootham schools are 2/3 minutes walk away. York district hospital is approx 4/5 minutes walk. The apartment is located just of Bootham, which is a pleasant tree lined street with many interesting buildings and leads into Bootham Bar the westerly entrance to the walled city and directly to The Minster....Yorks crowning glory.

The balance of rental is payable 6/8 weeks before arrival, should you find it necessary to cancel within four weeks of arrival the payment will not be refunded unless I am able to let the property for the same dates. Included in the final balance payment is a security deposit which we return after the visit and inspection of the apartment.
