Chalet Apartment in Samoens, Haute Savoie, French Alps - Great Views

Apartment in chalet on south facing sunny slope about 100 meters above valley. Good views, easy access to village 5 minutes by car, 10/15 minutes by foot. Well cleared roads in winter. Off-road parking for up to 2 cars.

Only 5 minutes to main ski lift with large free car park for 800 cars. Artificial lake with sandy beach very popular with small children with adventure courses and mini-golf within 5 minutes away.

Prices quoted are for 5 people,... a supplement of £75 per week will be charged for any extra over this number. If required for a larger group we can offer a second self contained studio in the same building on the garden level. It has a double bed, shower and toilet. Kettle, toaster, microwave and satellite TV included. This would be an additional £150 per week

We are happy to consider a longer term let if this is required, either in this apartment or the remainder of the chalet which has 4 bedrooms.

About Malcolm Watson

We live the full year round at the chalet property and enjoy all the seasonal changes. The skiing first brought us here but even that has evolved to enjoying other winter sports and skiing other than just the downhill variety. The summer atmosphere is so completely different and of course there is freedom to walk the mountains and enjoy other sports such as cycling. Chalet purchase 2001 and extensively renovated since.

Why Malcolm Watson chose Flaine - Grand Massif

We are very lucky to be in an area with such attractive scenery and without any large highways coming through the immediate valley. The head of the valley is dedicated to a huge natural reserve but we still have easy access (20 minutes) to the main motorway leading East to Chamonix or West to Geneva and the rest of France. We have a hugely diverse range of countryside starting from our front door including a once glaciated valley and mountain passes such as the famous Tour de France Col de Joux Plane. The winter ski resort of the Grand Massif starts just 5 minutes away and gives the skier access to 5 linked villages and fantastic snowfield facilities all on one ski-pass.

What makes this apartment unique

We can help you settle in to your chalet or apartment and personally see that you get all the best information on ski-hire, tuition and all the details that you might want to find out to make your ski holiday as enjoyable as possible. We can accompany you if you wish and show you our favourite runs. In the summer we can help plan and walk with you. There are so many other activities too. The property is just five minutes walk from the village. There are many restaurants in the nearby villages and we can help you make a choice and give you directions. If you are looking for great food in the comfort of the chalet, we can also recommend local caterers who can provide delicious evening meals at reasonable prices. Just ask for when booking. WiFi computer connection is available in house.
