About Graham Hewitt

My wife, Mary and myself, Graham Hewitt, have a business in Leicestershire. We also live in Leicestershire and visit the house in Kinsale as often as we can.

Graham Hewitt purchased this bungalow in 2003

Why Graham Hewitt chose County Cork

My wife, Mary, is Irish and comes from nearby Bandon. When she was a little girl she often used to visit Kinsale with her family. It was her ambition to have a house in Kinsale one day. That dream came true in 2003. We love the position of the property, being near to the centre. Also the garden and view.

What makes this bungalow unique

I find Kinsale a magical place. Not too big and not too small. Nice and friendly local people. There's a good variety of pubs/restaurants serving high quality food. We love to watch live music and there is plenty to choose from in Kinsale. Our house is in an ideal location being in a residential area and just 5 minutes walk to the centre. It also has great views and a nice garden.

House is comfortable and nicely furnished, with beautiful view of the river. Great location, short walk to town, restaurants and grocery store. Weather turned out to be lovely for Sept and Oct! Very pleasant trip.

Lovely 3 Bedroom Bungalow, well equipped in a good location, ideal for bringing a car over.

  • 4 of 5

The bungalow is roomy and well maintained, and was immaculately clean. 3 good sized bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin and 1 single). The kitchen was well equipped and the back patio has a lovely view over the River Bandon. The location was a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Kinsale. Its location, just outside the town centre was a plus for us as we had brought out car over from the UK and didn't have to negotiate or park in the streets in the centre of Kinsale and there is ample space on the driveway for two cars, Can highly recommend the accommodation to a family or small group, and despite the changeable Irish weather, my girlfriend and I had a lovely week there.

Owner's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed your holiday. We find the location ideal, being so close to the town's centre. Parking can be a problem in Kinsale, especially in the peak season. Being able to park at the house and walk to the pubs, restaurants and shops is a real bonus. We often find that, after flying over and hiring a car, we park it on the drive and don't use it again until we return to England.
