About the property

Cottage in Charlestown, Nr. St Austell Bay, Cornwall, England, UK - Central Village Location A Short Stroll To The Beach And Harbour

Come and stay at Seasalt in the vibrant fishing village of Charlestown on Cornwall's magical south coast. As you expect, the area provides many miles of superb and unspoilt walking over coastal and inland footpaths, whilst for sailing enthusiasts the Fal estuary to the West and Fowey to the east provide excellent waters. Three good golf clubs and facilities for fishing, horse riding and shooting are all within easy distance. Notable local attractions such as the Eden Project, just 4 miles to the east, and the many National Trust properties and famous open gardens, such as Heligan, 7 miles to the north east. Seasalt, looking seaward over the harbour 50 meters away, has, stunning views of the sea and the masts and square sails of the Tall Ships gracefully berthed in the World Heritage Site of Charlestown. The cottage itself is part of a new development of an old building and can truly be described as unique.

Very comfortable & great location

We stayed at Seasalt for 3 days after Easter. The house has a lovely welcoming feel. The kitchen is extremely well equipped & the living room is very comfortable. The location is excellent - a couple of minutes stroll to the harbourside.

Great location for our visit to The Eden Project where we were attending a wedding. Interesting harbour with a colourful history. Lots of good eating places. The cottage suited us perfectly, beautifully decorated & equiped.

We decided to spend Christmas in Charlestown and this was the perfect place to stay. The cottage couldn't be in a better location. It's even lovelier than the pictures show. Very roomy living space, gorgeous bedrooms and very well equipped. The owners are super helpful too.

It is very child friendly too (we stayed with a 5 and 3 year old).

We will definitely be back....hopefully one christmas and hopefully in the summer to explore more of this stunning part of the world.

Holiday gem on the harbour front

  • 5 of 5

Seasalt is a delightfully modern, comfortable and well presented cottage with sea views and literally a hundred yards walk from the tall ships which are such a feature of Charlestown. It is consequently ideally located for local bars and restaurants and the harbour and small beach. We stayed for a week last year with our daughter, son in law and two young children and loved it so much we returned on our own this year for a late break and much needed relaxation. We love everything about the cottage and location. It is especially nice to come home in the evening after a day out exploring the Cornish coast to either relax in the cottage or take a short stroll to one of the many fine bars and restaurants without having to worry about driving home afterwards. We will definitely be returning.
