This unique luxury two bedroom property is located in one of the most sought after residences in Cannes called Parc Aiguebel. It is a very secure complex located close to the centre of Cannes. It is beautifully decorated and fully air-conditioned throughout. It has a large ground floor terrace to the rear of the building and a first floor balcony at the front overlooking two beautiful swimming pools. This popular residence also has a tennis court, private garage parking and an on-site guardian. The apartment is ten minutes walk from Cannes city centre and the congress hall is about a 15-20 minute walk down the road.

About Ciaran Close

I work in Information Technology with a mobile telephone company. My wife is a doctor and works in a hospital in Dublin. We have three young children ranging in age from 13 to 17. We are an active family and love to do things together when we travel. We bought this property as a family investment after we had several disappointing package holidays where the apartment standards did not live up to the expectations the brochures set for us.

Why Ciaran Close chose Cannes

We fell in love with this property the first time we saw it. It is beautifully appointed and its location within this premium residence gives it stunning views from the 1st floor terrace which overlooks one of the nicest split level swimming pool complexes you will ever come across.

We absolutely loved the town of Cannes as it is an all year round resort with many flights to nearby Nice airport and it has loads of very good reasonable restaurants. It is also an excellent springboard location to set off and explore many other sites in the Cote D'Azur region.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is set back about 1km from the seafront (Carlton Hotel) and this allows us to enjoy the benefits of being close to the town centre without being on top of it. The apartment itself is really well appointed and with the swimming pools and tennis court and is very self contained if you do not want to go out to the nearby beaches and amenities. There is a guardian in the apartment building and the complex itself is very well maintained with beautifully manicured gardens. The property is located close to a small town square where there are fantastic boulangeries and several supermarkets.

"A great apartment, very spacious, in a truly luxurious setting. From the moment of our arrival, Sabine welcomed us and was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The complex is beautiful and the two pools and tennis court are a fantastic plus point. We found that the local shops were close enough for a daily walk to pick up essentials, and Cannes town centre itself within easy walking distance. We even walked to the plages du Midi most days so everything was within reach. The accommodation is ideal for a family; the large balcony overlooking the pool was a delight for breakfast and dinner, the kitchen has everything we needed and the living room spacious and cool. Likewise, the bedrooms were extremely comfortable. All of this set in the beautiful town of Cannes makes for a delightful holiday rental. I imagine the best recommendation we can give is that we would very much like to return. Many thanks."

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: The nearest shops and bakeries etc are located in the square at the bottom of a short incline so it takes about 5-6 minutes to walk down if you wish to get bread etc in the morning. There is free parking down there for 1 hour so if you have a car it is easy to drive down and back in a couple of minutes. We have a garage but we normally park on the road outside for convienence. You can find all facilities in or around the square (supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, bank machines, pharmacy). Outside: There is a small private terrace garden to the rear of the apartment and this area gets the sun in the afternoon. There is a table and six chairs for use along with a parasol for the table. We also have a lounger for the back terrace. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean linen and fresh towels are included.

Location

Coast/Beach:

15 minute walk to the beach. In our opinion the best public beaches in Cannes are the 3-4 mile stretch between Cannes and Mandelieu (to the west of Cannes). Ideally you would need a car to get to this beach and go earlier in the day to ensure parking is available. The apartment is about 8-10 minute drive from the A8 motorway where you are within easy reach of many other locations on the Cote D'Azur. You can also get to Antibes on the coast road in about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
