Apartment in Milton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire, Cotswolds, England - Quiet Location In A Beautifully Manicured Garden - Ideal For Enjoying A Chilled Glass Or Two....

Spacious and completely private in an Edwardian Cotswold stone house set in a beautifully landscaped garden on the edge of the village. The apartment is attractively furnished to a high standard, offering every comfort combined with excellent quality. Very well maintained throughout to provide a 'home from home' atmosphere for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Lovely garden, with furniture, which guests are welcome to use. Local shop and library in the village. A lovely country walk across the fields to Shipton-under-Wychwood (or through the villages but not quite so relaxing!) where there are 2 pubs, one cosy with open fires the other brigt and modern also a recently refurbished inn - all serving good food. Trains from Charlbury (5 miles) for easy journeys to Herefordshire / London Paddington line for Oxford, 20 minutes or London / Paddington a little more than an hour.

Peaceful retreat

An excellent location for a relaxing break. Very comfortable accommodation with a much appreciated welcome pack of tea coffee milk biscuits and bottle of wine. A short car ride from many popular attractions in the surrounding area. Recommended.

Activity and Interests


Approx 90 mins from Heathrow and Birmingham airports. Trains from Charlbury (5 miles) on the London/Paddington line via Oxford and Reading.


Burford, Gateway to the Cotswolds 5 miles. Chipping Norton market town 8 miles. Stow-on-the-Wold 11 miles. Bourton-on-the-Water 6 miles (all approx).

Pretty much midway bewteen Burford and Oxford.

  • Notes on accommodation: Off road parking for one car in the drive (although if there is a second car, please do ask and we will see what we can do to accommodate this however, parking on the road just outside is unrestricted). We 'tick' to say 'suitable for the elderly', which it is however, please note that the apartment is on the first floor. Regretfully the apartment is not suitable for under 10's or pets. Outside: Large garden and courtyard with furniture which guests are very welcome to use (shared with owner when at home). Utility Room: A laundry service is available on a Monday or Tuesday, washed and dried (£5 a load) Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels are provided. There will be a weekly change of linen and a clean for lets more than a week. For longer stays an additional cleaning service can be arranged at a charge.
