It is the ideal base for your holiday in the sun. It has all you could ask of a holiday apartment (& more) and is sited in a quiet residential area, but is within easy access of bars, restaurants and supermarkets.

Quality build apartment, spacious and airy, finished to high specification and full of personal touches.

The property is built to a very high standard, has been tastefully furnished throughout and is well equipped. It has the little personal touches most holiday apartments lack.

The apartment benefits from unlimited wifi and satellite TV (British / Scandinavian / Spanish channels)

Many apartments on this urbanization are built back to back, but this one is not, giving it the rare benefit of having outside space at the back and front of the property, so there is always the choice of sun or shade.

The fact that it is not back to back, allows windows and air-conditions to be fitted in both bedrooms - very much a luxury in holiday apartments

The communal pool is literally a stones throw away from the back gate. Fully air-conditioned and well equipped and well presented throughout.

Plenty of outdoor space. Many apartments on this urbanisation are built back to back, but this one is not, which makes it light and airy and allows access to outside space at the back and the front, and air-conditioning in both bedrooms.

This area of Spain if famous for is climate, blue flag beaches and its golf courses. Please note that there is strictly no smoking inside the apartment.

Hi, my name is Zena and thank you for viewing my property listing.

I have two grown up children, a manic border collie and I work in the Public Sector for my sins!!

I have always been a sun worshiper and found that my annual 2 week holiday wasn't enough - hence the purchase of the apartment for those extra short breaks and top up on the feel good factor.

I love spending time at the apartment, I am instantly relaxed as soon as I get there, and somehow it makes my holiday seem just that little bit longer, which is definitely a plus!

Whether you like the beach, sightseeing, local culture or simply the sunshine and sangria, there is always things to do here - and although I've been back and forth for several years, I still find new things to do and see.

I hope you will choose to stay as a guest in my apartment and will enjoy it as much as I do.

Lovely Place

A lovely place in a quiet area. Please be aware though that the back area of the house, which is large by the way, is a sun trap and we had the sun from around about 10:00 through the rest of the day, so lots of sun cream needed! There is a large Aldi 5 minutes walk away and a commercial centre (Via Park 3) which has various bars and cafes there which sell decent meals which again is around a 5 minute walk. The area at night was really quiet. Looking back, we should have hired a car, if only for a few days as there is so much to explore. We were transported to and from the airport by Ray who looks after the property and deals with any problems, a top man. Punta Prima beach is around a 30 minute walk away but buses are available. All in all, a great holiday.

Amazing apartment

We stayed in Casa Zena for 1 week in June 2015 and it was a beautiful apartment to use as a base as we explored the surrounding areas. There was a lot to do locally and many nice places to dine out and coming home to a comfy, clean and well maintained apartment every evening was a joy!

Will hopefully be returning to Casa Zena soon - well recommended!

Lovely and relaxing

This was our return visit as we had enjoyed our previous time, and the apartment was clean and ready for us. The apartment is close to shops and bars, within walking distance,band only a short ride to all the areas best facilities. Good space to sunbathe or shelter on the patio. A lovely apartment and well worth a stay.

how was it ?

spotless ground floor air conditioned apartment with balcony+garden frontage and a large tiled open area (eg. barbecue) at rear ... thus catering for sun or shade at any time of day depending on choice. Hire car needed for distant eating options but locally (10min walk) there are 2 dining complexes offering wide choice of food. A good holiday base set in spacious quiet surroundings.

Good and compact

The apartment is clean and well facilitated. Very comfortable for 3 adults. Well situated for everything in the area with plenty f good eating places nearby.Pool is just across from the back garden and is very well kept. Thoroughly enjoyable and worth the rental costs.

Brilliant!

Dont know where to start - Beautiful apartment, as described in listing. Clean and well equipped and thoughtful little details.

Superbly located for amenities and pool. Only a short drive to several beaches and other places of entertainment.

Good value for money, owner was very helpful during booking process answering my questions, etc

Absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed every minute and will definitely coming back.

Location

From the Owner

The main reason I bought this particular apartment was that when I walked in I just knew it was 'right'. Another plus was the apartment was not back-to-back like so many others in the area - I liked the additional light and flow of air through the apartment. The immediate area offers so many different things - everything from the tourist attractions to the real Spain. It has easy access to lovely beaches of all types, beautiful country side, & access to major roads for ease of travelling around the region, including the airport. The area has almost everything you could want for a holiday and more. The area is home championship golf courses, historic towns, as well as a massive range of bars and restaurants. It has so much to do - every time I go, I always do something I haven't done before. You can immerse yourself into Spain as much or as little as you want

Well sited for golfing holidays - Lots of championship courses within easy driving distance.

Coast/Beach:

Plenty of safe, beautiful blue flag beaches for you to enjoy. Our favourites are La Zenia, Playa Flamenca and Campoamor which are 5-10 mins down the coast (by car), but other lovely beaches include Punta Prima - 5 mins, La Mata - 15 mins, Guadamar - 20 mins. This coastline offers long stretches of beach, coves, and rocky headlands - something for everyone. Most beaches have beach bars, toilets and life guards.

Travel:

The area is served by 2 airports, Murcia (San Javier) and Alicante. San Javier is approx 20 min drive from the airport and is an easy journey. It is approx 50-60 mins drive from Alicante. I always fly to Murcia as it is so much easier. A car is recommended, but airport transfers can be arranged upon request at an additional cost. Buses run frequently to Torrevieja from the locality, and the area is well served by taxis, so you don't necessarily need a car if you don't want to drive.

Distances:

Torrevieja is the nearest large town and is about 10 minutes drive away from Los Altos. It is an old historic fishing town, with a lovely promenade which has a nightly market and funfair - well worth a visit. La Manga strip, Cartahenga and Murcia are about an hour away, as is Alicante. Villa Martin is a classy plaza attached to the golf course, which offers resturants, bars, etc is about 15 mins drive away. Playa Flamenca plaza is 5 mins by car. There are maps in the apartment.

Further Details:

Local bars, (with nightly entertainment in high season) restaurants and supermarkets are all within easy walking distance. There is a choice of Via Park 3 or 5, which offer a good range of choice for visitors.

Playa Flamenca Plaza is a 5 min drive away with bars, restaurants and nightly entertainment.

Villa Martin Plaza is a 15 min drive away and offers top class restaurants and bars. There is another commercial centre just off the N332 roundabout as you go up to Dream Hills. There are more bars, restaurants and shops here as well as a chemist, a petrol station and an ATM. More banks and ATMs are available at Playa Flamenca Plaza.

There is a large aqua park in Benidorm (Aqualandia) and smaller ones in Torrevieja (Aquapolis) and Quesda. There are also theme parks in Benidorm (Mundomar and Terra Mitica) Look out for the many excursions if you don’t want to drive - advertised in the supermarkets and the local street market in Playa Flamenca. In addition, the local English free papers, available at supermarkets and the Via Parks, advertise coach trips also.

The waterfalls at Algar and the island of Tabarca are also worth a trip - they are fantastic.

There is a zoo at Elche, and many more attractions up and down the region - too many to list!

The towns in the area are historic and well worth a visit.

A non-returnable booking deposit of 25% of rental cost is required at time of booking. Bookings are not confirmed until deposit received. Full amount payable 60 days prior to departure.

IMPORTANT : A meet & greet and cleaning fee of 70 Euros is payable on arrival directly to my agent. An extra 15E is payable if arriving between 8pm- 8am.

Changeover Day:
Flexible - Guests are able to access the property from 3pm on day of arrival & requested to vacate the property by 10am on day of departure to facilitate cleaning. However, these times can be negotiated subject to other bookings. Please seek confirmation.

  • Notes on accommodation: On arrival you will be welcomed by my agent, who will provide you with the keys and show you around the apartment, explaining the additional security features and how things work. The key holder will also clean the apartment following your stay, If your arrival time is between 8pm-8am and additional charge of 10Euros is payable for unsociable hours. They will also be on hand during your stay should you have any problems. No pets allowed. Strictly no smoking inside the apartment. Air-conditioning is included in the price, but guests are requested to be considerate with its use. The air-conditioning units are modern, quick and effective, and do not need to be on long to cool a room. My agent can arrange airport transfers upon request. Couple only discount available. Please note, that any losses/damage/additional cleaning reported by my agent following your stay, will be charged, and taken from the security deposit. Outside: At the front there is a raised, covered veranda overlooking a planted garden. At the back there is an enclosed utility area, leading to a large tiled sun terrace for sunbathing, BBQing, dining. Patio furniture, sun loungers and BBQ are provided.
