About the property

Holiday Home in Lechlade-on-Thames, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire - Peaceful Location Yet Close To Amenities, Pretty Walks By Thames, Year Round Pursuits

Kent Place is a short footpath with four old semi-detached cottages just a stones throw from the centre of this beautiful historic village with its shops, pubs, restaurants and most interesting places to browse for antique and collectible items. Beneath the famous "Halfpenny Bridge" lies the Riverside Restaurant which is a great place to watch for water birds, have a relaxing drink or meal or hire a boat for a trip up the river.

About Julia Shirlaw

I live near the holiday cottage and it is my great delight to read in the visitors book how much visitors enjoyed their stay.

What makes this cottage unique

It is a pretty cottage with a south facing garden in a conservation area.

Guestbook comments from the owner

June 2010. Definitely the best place we have stayed in in England. Sharon Young-Lai (Canada).

July 2010. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Julie Ahay Cornwall.

Nov 2009. It has been such a pleasure staying in such an old cottage: an old path off an old street with lovely walks along the river Leach (and a kingfisher!) Thank you for the personal and friendly feeling and provision of extras. Tony Coombs London and Yorkshire.

Small comfortable cottage, very well equipped.Great location, and convenient for shops and pubs.

  • 5 of 5

We chose the cottage to be able to visit family in the area. As we have been infrequent visitors to the locality before and loved it, We felt at home immediately on stepping through the door, finding it to be small but very cosy. We found no issues with parking during our stay and feel that we would happily stay there again.

LOVELY OLD COTTAGE, SMALL BUT EVERYTHING YOU NEED.

  • 4 of 5

THE COTTAGE IS WELL EQUIPPED AND COMFORTABLE WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED. THE BEDROOMS ARE A GOOD SIZE AND THE BEDS VERY COMFORTABLE. LECHLADE IS A NICE TOWN WITH SEVERAL PLACES TO EAT. PARKING IN THE STREET WAS NO PROBLEM FOR US. VERY PRETTY GARDEN. THE OWNER LEFT US SOME LOVELY PROVISIONS (ABOVE AND BEYOND THE NORM). TV WAS AN ISSUE BUT WE SORTED IT EVENTUALLY, PLUG AERIAL INTO TV AND BYPASS NON-FUNCTIONING UVIEW BOX! ALL IN ALL A VERY GOOD COTTAGE AS A BASE TO EXPLORE THE AREA

Fabulous cottage in a beautiful village

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect stay in this lovely cottage. It is on a footpath off a no through road so very quiet but only a few seconds walk to the high street. A great base to explore the Cotswolds and one of the best curries we have had from the local around the corner! Julia kindly left us some essentials and a note with ideas of things to do. Our 5 year old loved sitting outside the pub on the river feeding the swans! All in all a great week.
