Modern comfortable apartment built in 2009. Surrounded by woodland the apartment is in a tranquil setting, it is light and airy but never gets too hot. The large balcony offers an attractive view across the bay. Located in Prcanj, with its historical palaces along the waterfront offering an old world charm from its once glorious maritime past. Prcanj is a convenient base to explore the surrounding historical sites and areas of natural beauty and you are just 15 minutes from the historical walled UNESCO town of Kotor. Due to its location this part of the Boka Kotorska bay is recognized as a climatic health resort.

About The Owner

We are a retired professional couple whose dream has always been to own a property on the Mediterranean. After a long search along the Dalmation Coast we eventually discovered the natural beauty of Boka Kotorska.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2009

Why The Owner chose Montenegro

Boka Kotorska is an inland fjord which has been described as "the most colourful bay in the whole Adriatic Sea".We were immediately drawn to this unique combination of mountains and sea, with its breathtaking vistas.The deep fjord and the steep mountain ridges gives great health benefits to, in particular the area around Prcanj. We experience a great feeling of well being when we are there.Not surprisingly in the 1920's a healing and rehabilitation centre was established which still attracts lots of visitors.

Our apartment is situated in a quiet location surrounded by woodland and greenery.

What makes this apartment unique

We enjoy especially our evening walks along the waterfront, passing the many old Venetian style palaces and captains houses, climbing up to the parish church of our lady which is second in size to the cathedral in Dubrovnik. Stopping by at the restaurant opposite for a meal and a drink, relaxing watching the various watercraft go by. Nearby the village has a bakery where we buy fresh bread. Everywhere we go we find the local people very friendly and helpful. Our apartment in the evening is cool and it is pleasant to just sit and have an al fresco meal with a bottle of good local wine on the balcony or have a refreshing dip in the pool.

5 minutes walk down the hill to the waterfront with bathing jetties. 15 minute drive to a small beach in Stoliv. 35 minutes by car to the resort of Budva.

Travel:

15 minutes drive to Tivat airport. 90 minutes drive to Dubrovnik airport served from the UK. BA, Easyjet,Thomsons, Croatia airlines and Flybe. Car hire is recommended or you can travel by local bus to kotor and Tivat and taxis are inexpensive.

Distances:

Kotor 4km. Tivat 15km. Perast 18km. Budva 25km. Sveti Stefan 34km. Herceg Novi 24km. Cetinje 60km.Podgorica 90km. Dubrovnik 85km (airport 60km).

Further Details:

5 minute walk to mini market, 2 good restaurant/bars, bus stop. 15 minutes by car to Kotor with its daily local vegetable, fruit and fish market, shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and banks.The restaurants have excellent local sea food and Montenegran wine is very good and reasonably priced.
