Split-level detached villa set in own grounds and built into the hillside giving superb sea views of the Med and on a clear day as far as North Africa and the rock of Gibraltar. Comfortably furnished with all mod cons making it suitable for families, couples, girls weekend away or boys golfing trips. The entrance leads into kitchen and dining room with steps up to top terrace and stunning sea views, while further steps lead down to lounge and middle terrace and further steps down to bedrooms and bathrooms and finally out to the spacious garden with own 16m pool and sunny poolside terrace, all for sole use by villa guests.

About Nikki Jeffrey

Julian and I fell in love with this part of Spain on our pre-honeymoon! Good friends allowed us the use of their villa and we loved it so much we decided to buy. Jamie our son was born soon after and we have now enjoyed 17 years of holidaying at Bahia de Casares and its surrounding area. It is very much home from home for us and we want you to enjoy the villa as much as we do. It is very child friendly - i.e. no overly expensive furnishings for you to worry about! And as there is only 1 point of access to the garden/pool it is very easy to keep children away from the area by closing this one door.

As well as a great family villa, Julian has enjoyed boys golfing weekends and I have enjoyed many girls weekends! In a few years I'm sure Jamie will be partying with his friends too!

Why Nikki Jeffrey chose West Costa del Sol

This part of Spain is so easy to get too - either via Gibraltar Airport or Malaga Airport, the latter of which is serviced by countless airlines. The flight time is approx two and a half hours so if you catch an early flight you can be enjoying a swim and drinks by the pool by lunchtime!

The villa, pool and garden provide a secure, secluded setting but within a few mins drive you can find many shops, supermarkets, beaches, bars etc and although a busy part of the coast it is not built-up like the resorts closer to Malaga.

We always have to spend at least one day at Puerto Banus to people watch and admire the cars and yachts in the harbour.

Unspoilt areas can still be found in the traditional fishing and mountain villages.

This is not an ultra modern 5* villa - it is around 40 years old and is on an established urbanisation with a mix of villas and apartments. However it is well furnished and equipped and will provide a comfortable stay for your holiday. The key feature of our villa is the lovely private pool and garden which provides a relaxing and secluded setting for you and your family to recharge your batteries!

We do our best to keep on tops of things that need doing/replacing - for example last year it was mattresses to bedrooms 2 and 3 and this year it has been sofas and dining room chairs. Any suggestions during or after your stay are welcome.

What makes this villa unique

Once we step inside it feels like home and we love the peace and quiet of our private garden and pool.

Our friends and family often come with us and they too consider it their second home.

Notes on accommodation: Travel cot available for babies. Hairdryer. Outside: Large private garden laid mostly to lawn, bordered by shrubs, palm and lemon trees. 16m pool with steps leading down into it. At the opposite end is a small shelf that is ideal for small children to play in. Depth 1.2m - 1.7m. Spacious sunny poolside terrace with sun loungers. Shaded area with outside table and chairs, fridge/freezer, BBQ and sink. Pool and garden is for exclusive use for the guests of the villa only. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels (bath and pool) are included for your convenience. They and the villa will be cleaned before your arrival and upon your departure. Please enquire if you would like the villa cleaned during your stay - price on application. Electric: We allow for 50 units per day. Any units over this amount will be charged at the local electricity suppliers unit rate.

Lovely villa

Spent a lovely relaxing week at this villa - most of which was either in the fantastic pool or by the BBQ area nearby! Felt like a home-from-home as the villa was nicely furnished; the lounge had lovely comfy sofas, large TV, PS2 - the kitchen was spacious and had everything you could need for a vacation. Got used to 3 flights of stairs after a week (certainly got fitter!!!) Nikki (the owner) gave excellent assistance and was a pleasure to deal with. 3 generations of the same family all had a great time - so that can't be a bad thing. Recommended.

We had the most amazing week at this villa. Everything was perfect and Nikki was really helpful and accommodating. Outdoor area and pool was perfect. Very clean, tidy and well equipped. Location and sea views from terraces lovely. Couldn't have had a better week and will definitely return.

Amazing villa, pool and garden.

A short walk to beach and restaurants.

We drove to Cadiz, Zahara and Malaga for days out.

All mod cons in villa and the best and biggest pool we have ever had.

Location

Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

As the villa is on the coast the local beach and bar is a 5-10 min walk. A short drive will find many other beaches at Sabinillas (2km), Estepona (6km) both of which offer loungers and umbrellas for a small fee and showers/wc, beach bars and a safe environment for young children. Further afield you can easily reach Sotogrande (12km), Puerto Banus (17km) and Tarifa (50km) where the Atlantic meets the Med with its long sandy beaches and host to windsurfing competitions.

Travel:

Malaga Airport (90km) - approx 50 min drive. Bus travel is available but we have not yet tried it (change at Estepona and then taxi from Sabinillas).

Gibraltar Airport (40km) - approx 30 min drive. Recommend that you walk through the border and take hire car/taxi from Spanish side.

Car hire is highly recommended.

Distances:

Sabinillas is the nearest village (2km) with wide range of amenities - supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, restaurants, beach and promenade etc.

La Duquesa (4km)- pretty port and harbour overlooked by bars and restuarants.

Estepona (7km) - large Spanish town with all amenities, long sandy beach and promenade with playgrounds for young children.

Puerto Banus (17km) - lively cosmopolitan port to people, car and yacht watch!

Casares (12Km) - described as a 'spilt paint pot' in the mountains.

Further Details:

There is a communal pool on the urbanisation that guests of the villa are entitled to use from May - Sept. This is lovely for a change of scene or for slightly older children who may want to escape the adults for an hour or two. It is not attended so children must be supervised by you.

Fashionable shopping and lively nightlife can be found at Puerto Banus and Marbella - about 30 mins drive.

Further afield you can explore the beauty of Ronda, Seville, Cordoba, Granada or even cross the Med and explore the markets in Africa for the day.
