About the Owner

Having raised six children and seeing them settled with families of their own, we thought it was time for us to look to our future. As my husband spent many years working in the agricultural supply industry and was bought up on a farm and my career revolved around the hospitality trade it seemed the most logical step was to combine our experiences. With our love of the countryside, holiday cottages with plenty of grounds was the answer. It definitely was the right decision, we have never looked back.

Guestbook comments from the manager

This is our third visit which speaks for itself. Thelma and Peter are always welcoming and kind, the cottage is beautiful and the gardens are so peaceful. The river walk is our favourite. First time here - couldn't believe the size of the garden and the fantastic woods. Little Lucy loved the animals. We will return when she is a little older so she can do some exploring. Thanks to Thelma and Pete who were very welcoming - we had a great time. Loved the golf. Tenby and Barafundle beach were lovely, recommend them both. Our fourth visit and things just get better and better! Peter and Thelma's hard work really shows in the lovely grounds and beautiful cottage. As usual, don't want to go home and can't wait until our next visit. Thanks a lot.

Beautiful, peaceful farm

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Wellstone Cottages in the Coach House with friends, four children included. The farm is beautiful with lots of open space for the children to play in, an amazing little play room crammed full of toys and games, a little river side beach, acres of grounds to explore and a river to splash in. We all found it completely enchanting. The house was fully equipped with plenty of space for the 10 of us. Thelma and Peter were at hand to help with bits and bobs and give recommendations in the area. All in all, I would highly recommend it!!

A peaceful, spacious and A beautiful area

  • 5 of 5

we was in a group of eight adults, intent to have our own fun during the nights; we ended up visiting one of the local pubs Butchers arm on our first Saturday. which has really welcoming staff and a cosy feeling about it. we enjoyed a simple meal there, had a few drinks at a good price, played pool and darts. which was a great start to our holiday.

we spent many nights in the games room at the cottage, which has a full size snooker table that allowed me to sharpen my game...the cottage is surrounded by a few beaches all within an hours drive. our favourite was poppit sands beach which permitted our dogs on its sand. it was lovely and clean. we enjoyed that so much we went back twice during our weeks stay; We spent the day there playing football, rugby, badminton, Frisbee etc the only thing we didnt do is have a BBQ on there which is a must next time if the weather allows.

One of my favourite feature of the cottage besides from the size of the whole place, is the stream running through the woods at the back of the house. The area has many different walking trails but to have one in the back of the yard was handy for walking the dogs in the morning plus the air and water are clean and fresh.

For a get from the city it was great; the people are few and not everywhere you turn plus there friendly, especially the owners whom gave us great pointers on how we can better enjoy our get away.

All in all, Thumbs up. I would recommend this place for any one wanting to get away from their normal routine and spend some quality time with their loved ones.

Outstanding cottages and surroundings. Definitely going again soon. Kids loved the animals and Thelma spent good time with the children. Peter mentioned to us during the week...... Have a game of snooker... A full size snooker table! Goats, Chickens, Guinea pigs, Sheep and much more. Great walks on the acres of land. A Fantastic Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a family holiday here consisting of 7 adults 3 children and a dog and we all had a wonderful time. The owners Thelma & Peter were very welcoming and helpful and the facilities they provide both inside and outside the property are excellent. The coach house is set in 10 acres of beautiful grounds and there is something to do for everyone.. For the children there is a stream to paddle in, a beach hut and sand, a tree house, Pooh's house, a play room with lots of toys and a slide, a swing, and a variety of animals . There are many beautiful walks and there is a games room for adults with a full sized snooker table and dart board.. We all had a really great week and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone..
