This charming stone villa in St Paul en Foret (near Fayence), Cote d'Azur is the perfect location for exploring the beautiful Côte d'Azur, Cannes, Nice, St. Tropez and the heart of Provence.
The villa has south facing terraces and a beautifully large (12m x 6m) heated, mirror pool catching the full Mediterranean sun. Inside the villa is cool, spacious and very comfortable. It is situated on the edge of the charming village of St.Paul en Forêt which is a five minute walk. The village has a bakery, butcher and two great restaurants. With views of the mountains it is a peaceful woodland setting. It is perfect for you if you are seeking a blissful Provençal retreat while exploring the regions stunning scenery, beautiful medieval perched villages and the glamorous and sophisticated Nice, Cannes and St Tropez.

This is a beautiful, traditionally built villa with a modern twist. It is built entirely from a warm coloured local stone with a very large open plan living/dining room including a vaulted ceiling (of the same local stone). There are two sets of french doors opening from the living/dining area onto the outside terrace.

There are three large ground floor bedrooms running along the south side of the hall, each with a king sized bed surrounded by full canopy netting with air-conditioning throughout the villa.

On the other side of the ground floor hall are two bathrooms and a large utility room. One of the bathrooms is the ensuite for the master bedroom.

The master bedroom has French doors leading into the garden and also has a separate dressing room. Each of the bedrooms has a large built-in wardrobe.

The well equipped kitchen is in a vintage style with modern appliances. The kitchen easily serves both the inside dining room and the outside terrace.

The pool is a particularly large, modern, mirror pool and forms a striking feature being so close to the villa. There is a solar shower by the pool which provides a lovely warm shower after your swim.

You have a pergola to provide shade on the south facing terrace for part of the day.

There is a full sized Boules court in the grounds of the villa and hammocks to wile away the hours relaxing.

The garden attracts lots of wildlife, including unusual birds - Eurasian Jays (with bright blue patches on their wings) and Eurasian Golden Oriole (which are bright yellow), wild Hermann Tortoises (which are native to the area) and the local forests have plenty of Wild Boar (Sanglier in French).

There may be discounts available for smaller parties, early birds, longer stays & late flexible bookings, please enquire.

Wonderfully relaxing week
We had a lovely stay at this villa. Ideally placed to allow for trips to the lakes, beach and Monaco. The villa itself flows wonderfully from indoors to out and has a really good feel about it. We did stay late into the season, following a significant dry spell and a little needed tlc is needed to the pool and surrounding area is the only reason I didn’t give this five stars. Unfortunately the village was closed for half of the holiday which is not a fault of the property but worth considering and bearing in mind if you travel during the last week of the school summer holidays. I would absolutely love to return but would come early in the holidays rather than the end. Ann was wonderful with help and communication.

Les Colles - another excellent stay
Great property, home-from-home. Everything that you need to make your stay perfect is there. Ann and Eugene have thought of everything. Great to have your own pool, especially in those very hot days! We have stayed many times and hope to continue.

Lovely villa in Provence
This villa has an excellent pool, perfect for our family of five and bigger than many others. It is in an excellent location - very secluded but near to Fayence which has everything you could need. There is a good bakery (La Grillotine) there which we found useful for breakfast. There are a number of Domaines around where you can buy some lovely local wine. Fréjus is only half an hour away if you want to get to the coast (well worth going on Monday evenings in July and August to see the fireworks from the beach). This is the second time we have stayed here. We came back because it’s in a great location, excellent value and just right for our teenage family of five.

A great base for a 2 week stay
Ann's house is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the Cote d'Azur but away from the hustle of the coast. The house is very clean, spacious and well equipped. We went as a family of four adults but six people would not be cramped. A highlight is the lovely pool and the wilder garden area is a haven for wildlife. The house is set in a quiet village about 45 minutes from the coast. The fascinating town of Fayence is ten minutes away, with its brilliant market, boulangerie and cafes. Communication with Ann was first class and the property is accurately described in the listing. We had a great two weeks

We are an Irish couple who have lived in the UK for over 30 years. We have been advertising on VRBO for a number of years now and have been fortunate to rent our villa to genuinely delightful guests who all share our love of France, spending time with family and having a beautiful, private, peaceful place to stay in a great location. We manage the villa ourselves with help from some of our wonderful French neighbours; Peter is a very experienced property manager who speaks fluent English and French, Murielle and Stephan manage the cleaning, laundry and gardening. Please feel free to call and speak to us personally at any time. We hope you have a wonderful time on holidays at our villa and we are always available in person on the phone or email to help with any questions you have before you go. Please read our reviews to see what our guests have experienced.

Why they chose this property

We love escaping to the sunny warm weather and the gorgeous food in the South of France. We visit the villa mostly in the school holidays and are amazed at how excellent the area is as a holiday destination for families with young children. My parents spend time at the villa in May and October when the weather is also great and you can explore at your leisure. My father is a keen yachtsman, he spends hours browsing around the yachts at Frejus harbor and was enthralled with the beauty of the Tall Ships which come to St Tropez in October. My mother loves the glamour, shopping and fine restaurants of Cannes which is an easy 30 minute drive from the villa.

What makes this property unique

Guests will enjoy a spacious villa which also benefits from the convenience of having the outside terrace and heated pool close to the villa. The villa is in a large gated plot in a quiet residential area yet only 5 minutes walk from the local village. The location is excellent for exploring the local area and beyond. Our representative who will meet you speaks fluent English and French. He lives locally and has invaluable knowledge on the local area. He is available throughout your stay to answer any questions you have while you are enjoying your holiday.
