Stunning Large Private Pool, Separate Children’s Pool

Overview

Property

Updated: 10-Dec-2016
Villa in Dalyan, Aegean Region, Turkey - Fantastic Location, 12 Minute Walk To Town Centre

Villa Lochville was built by a local builder in 2010 to an extremely high standard in a beautiful peaceful location in Dalyan, yet it is just a short walk (under 15 minutes), with no hills, to the many local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.

The fully air-conditioned villa has a modern, fitted kitchen with oven, hob and microwave, separate dining area set in a bay window, lounge with patio doors to the covered terrace.

2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and an additional family bathroom. The villa is furnished to an exceptionally high standard with modern, comfortable leather furniture and has all mod cons and comforts including, flat screen TV, media player with movie collection, CD radio, Xbox and mp3 speakers, music CDs, books, Xbox games and board games.

From the covered wrap round terrace you can look onto the stunning 67 square metre private pool, additional children’s splash pool and stone built BBQ area. In the walled landscaped garden there is a large traditional pagoda.

Every effort is made to ensure that your stay here is enjoyable and we can even arrange airport transfers on your behalf, or for a hire car at the airport or the villa.

For 2016, Villa Lochville in Dalyan will have free Wi-Fi available for guests to use.

Nice Clean Villa

  • 5 of 5

Very pleased with the villa and would definitely return. The villa itself was clean and well equipped. The pool was kept to a high standard and the gardener / pool man was very pleasant. The wi-fi is excellent and the main bedroom even had bedside lamps (something you don't normally get in a Turkish Villa).

The villa owner (Lesley) was very helpful and communications from her were very efficient and friendly.

The villa was also very quiet and private which was just what we wanted but please be aware that if the surrounding villas were occupied (which they weren't when we were there) it is likely that you could be subject to quite a bit of noise. The villa is a pleasant stroll into the town of Dalyan and the maps etc. provided in the villa were very helpful.

Some chickens adopted us whilst were in the villa which was fun and we rescued a hedgehog from the pool one morning - all of which added to the overall fun of being in Turkey and at the Villa.

Only real criticism was that there were a number of light bulbs not working and there was no loo roll when we first got there. The managing agent supplied some light bulbs but it would have been good if he had done the check before we arrived. But these are only small issues in the grand scheme of things:-)

Owner's Response: We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay in Villa Lochville and weren’t too discourage by the lack of toilet rolls and lightbulbs. There is nothing worse than after a long flight to arrive at a villa and find no toilet rolls. We can only assume the cleaner forgot to put them out as we make sure there are more than enough toilet rolls to last the entire season. We will mention to Emel when we see her to make sure there are always toilet rolls put out in future. Of course all of the lights should have been working and we do put spare bulbs in the kitchen cupboard at the start of the season, after that we rely on our Manager to check the villa and replace the stock as required. Thank you for highlighting this, please be assured we will address the matter. We can understand your comment about noise levels, especially as there are six villas with their gardens back to back, but we have never really found it particularly noisy and we have stayed there frequently over the years and visit the villa on changeover days if we happen to be in Dalyan. It is helped by the fact that the villa immediately in front of Villa Lochville is not rented and is only used by the couple who own it. The villa diagonally to the left is only rented to family, so also tends to be quieter. Thank you for taking the time to write a review as we find them very helpful and are always looking for ways to improve.

A Lovely Home from Home

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely little villa in a great quiet location. We loved the fact that it was all on one level, it was really spacious and the owners have literally thought of everything to make your stay really enjoyable. The kitchen is very well equipped but we mainly used it for breakfast and lunch as to eat out in Dalyan is so cheap. We had a 13 year old with us so the media centre, games console and wifi were extremely useful. The location is great, just a 15 min stroll into the centre of Dalyan. We tended to walk into town and then get a taxi back (approx. £3) and all the taxi companies knew where the villa was. The garden and the pool area are all really well maintained. Can’t really fault anything about the villa, the owners have very high standards which clearly shows in all their villas.

First time in a villa

  • 4 of 5

2 adults and 2 kids and this villa was an ideal size for us. Pool a great size compared to some we saw and so clean. Transfer organised by owners went smoothly and movies and games supplied were great when it got too hot. Definitely recommend

Location

From the Owner

We first visited Turkey in 2007 and fell in love with Dalyan and the people who are both friendly and helpful. It is a town where we immediately felt at home and relaxed. Although our second villa is again in a quiet location it is only a short walk to the supermarkets, local shops and many wonderful restaurants. It is quite possible to stay here without the need of a car. We have never felt the need to hire a car. Both our villas are within 1 minute's walk of each other.
