Located on the coast between Cala Vadella and Cala d'Hort (8 and ten minutes' drive respectively), Cala Carbo is a small peaceful cluster of properties, offering beautiful views, its own supermarket and three local restaurants.

* Apartment is tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard.

* An extensive private wrap-around terrace (accessed from bedrooms), partly shaded throughout the day, offering outdoor dining for six, a BBQ and a separate seating area from which to enjoy the peaceful forest, mountain and sea views.

* Roof-top sun terrace with all-day sun and daybed.

* The communal swimming pool with loungers and umbrellas is a two minute stroll away from my front door.

* Within walking distance (20 minutes) there is a supermarket with deli (daily fresh bread & pastries) and also a restaurant/cafe/bar: www.lasardinaloca.com.

Hiring a car would enable you to make the most of your holiday. Distances: San Jose, 15 minutes; Ibiza Town, 35 minutes and Ibiza Airport, 30 minutes.

Based in London, we have been visitors to Ibiza for many years. In April 2010 we were very fortunate to be able to purchase the apartment in Cala Carbo. We fell for the beautiful sea views, peace of the surrounding forest and the abundance of outside space which the apartment offers, together with its location, which is secluded, yet not far from all the island has to offer.

Fantastic Apartment with superb views

This apartment was exactly what we had wished for and more. Stylish interior with a great wrap around balcony perfect for eating alfresco and bbq,s while watching the sun go down. Roof top sun terrace with shade, perfect for chilling whilst enjoying the sea view and peace and quite of the bay. The shared pool was never crowded and there was always sunbeds available. Really couldn't recommend this spot enough.

The apartment was very clean, tidy and comfortable and our hosts really went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed.

Our host had listed a number of restaurants which we would never have found if not for the recommendation. The area is very picturesque and although we travelled all over the island this bay is a real find. Beautiful beaches on the doorstep. We hired a car and zipped about all over. Fell in love with this Island it really felt home from home.

Shopping and amenities all nearby in St Josep we found a great butchers and fishmongers. We would not hesitate in recommending

this property for those wanting a truly relaxing time.

Stylish, spacious apartment in great location

Charl's home was fantastic - comfortable, clean, stylish, spacious, quiet, with a well-equipped kitchen, effective A/C, enormous porch/roodtop deck, and amazing views. Our family of four had a great experience there. The community pool was a great benefit, although we didn't use it very often since we mostly went to the beach (a very short drive away).

The one unexpected inconvenience is that the tap water is salty. Not sure why, as we stayed in other places in Ibiza without salty tap water. This made it a little challenging to cook as we always had to use bottled water (or everything would be salty).

Charl is a real gentleman. He was very communicative and responsive before and during our stay. He provided a detailed house manual with very helpful information about the house and the town (restaurant recommendations, etc). He returned our security deposit right on time. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I know that at some point in September the desalination plants in the wider San Antonio/San Jose districts underwent much overdue maintenance - we used to experience short water outages during the summer months. I stayed at my apartment after you and have experienced the same. I wish I had the opportunity address the issue during your stay by getting my housekeeper to supply you with enough bottled water for the purposes of cooking. I shall now be doing this for future guests. Please do consider staying again should you return to Ibiza. With warm regards, Charl.

Wonderful stay in Dos Mares

Could not have had a more perfect stay in a more scenic location. We opted to stay on the more secluded end of the island, and Charl's place offered unparalleled views and amenities for a super reasonable rate. This apartment is massive, perfectly sized for a couples' holiday like ours, and just a few minutes drive from some amazing beaches. San Jose is right around the bend, and offers some spectacular dining and good grocery selection. Would absolutely consider staying here again, many thanks to Charl for excellent, clear communication and compliments on a beautiful home!

Having rented apartments and villas all over the Mediterranean and Canaries and in most cases being slightly disappointed this place came as a pleasant surprise. The apartment is modern with some nice touches and most importantly good quality beds, but the most striking feature is the stunning view, the complex is quiet and a car is a necessity, would definitely rent this apartment again.

Fantastic location...wonderful apartment

We are a family of four (2 kids aged 8 and 6) and had a brilliant week at Charl's property. The apartment was a perfect size for us, and we loved the roof terrace and stunning views. Everything you need, all the equipment, very clean and tidy. Cala Carbo is small but with a convenient Spa 5 minutes away, we were able to get enough supplies to eat in as well as try the fabulous local restaurants. We hired a car and travelled around the island, mainly in the SW corner. The best beach for the kids is Vedella but we also loved Es Cavellet, Es Torrent and Es Cubells. Would definitely recommend this property and we certainly hope to come back one day!

Perfect for a small group or family, the property is 'end of terrace' therefore very private. The local supermarket, deli and restaurant is a stroll away but be sure to be on the terrace to enjoy the sunsets.

For the more active, the area offers spectacular swimming and snorkelling and you can learn to dive at the scuba school in Cala Vadella.


Cala Carbó has its own sheltered beach and is but a 10-minute drive from Cala Vadella, another beautiful coastal enclave. Enjoy freshly caught fish, cooked to order, at one of the many beachside restaurants and cafes.


Ibiza airport is 30 minutes away. Car hire is highly recommended to make the most of all the island has to offer. The apartment benefits from secure underground parking for two cars.


The apartment is 12 minutes’ drive away from much-loved San Jose, which has numerous bars, restaurants, banks, shops, a pharmacy and post office. The vibe and the excitement of Ibiza Town, dominated by the 16th century fortifications of Dalt Vila, is located just 30 minutes away.

Cala Carbo beach is a five minute drive away, Cala Vedella is 12 minutes away by car.

Cala Carbó, opposite the mythical rock of Es Vedrà on the south-west coast of the island, is favoured for its dramatic views and peaceful seclusion. A bar/restaurant, La Sardina Loca, which is open all day and a supermarket, with freshly-baked bread and a deli, are within walking distance of the apartment.
