Beautiful top quality holiday property

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful weekend in this stunning barn conversion. The owners have thought of everything and it is a perfect place for a family get together. So many thoughtful extras - feels like home from home. There's lots of space, beautiful furnishings, quality beds and it's spotlessly clean. Such a gorgeous location - feels like the middle of nowhere but really accessible. We loved it and highly recommend it.

Fantastic stay in beautiful barn.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the barn for 3 nights to celebrate a 60th birthday. The barn is very big and spacious, really nice and light with big floor to ceiling windows. All the 4 bedrooms were great, with en suites and comfy beds. The big open fire is really inviting with comfy couches and there is a dining room table and big kitchen table to eat around. We had everything we needed and Sally was an amazing host. Beautiful location too, really nice for walks and local pubs. Would definitely go back and could have easily stayed for a whole week.

Very spacious, comfortable & equipped property in a quiet country setting.

  • 5 of 5

The barn has all the charm of a rural home but with modern amenities. The rooms are very spacious and the inventory of equipment, crockery , glasses etc is comprehensive. Within 45 to 60 minutes walk down a country lane can be found 2 charming pubs serving good food. Host Sally was very friendly with cake & welcome pack supplied. We enjoyed a family get together over a long weekend.

Great stay at Orchard Barn

  • 5 of 5

Lovely weekend break in Up Marden, the barn was perfect for our family group of 4 adults, plenty of space for us all inside and out. Having 4 bathrooms took away a load of hassle, though as some other reviews have said, the upstairs bedrooms (bath only) could benefit with having a shower tap/attachment. Whole place very clean and tidy, no trace of any previous furry guests.

The log fire was lovely, good selection of puzzles and games to keep us entertained as well as netflix TV which was very handy for a lazy afternoon. Lovely rural location, but close to the Witterings beaches as well as Chichester town. Plenty to keep us occupied for the long weekend. We didn't eat out locally in the end, but lots of lovely looking pubs nearby all serving food.

Sally was a great hostess, popped in on our arrival day to check we had everything we needed - provided one of the best Victoria Sponges we've ever had! Plus a bottle of wine and fresh milk was a lovely touch.

Highly recommend staying here, we will be back!

In 12 years this is the best yet!

  • 5 of 5

My 7 friends and I have been going away for a short break for the past 12 years and try and find suitable accommodation that can sleep us all in separate beds and with as many bathrooms as possible. When researching this year's trip I almost overlooked Orchard Barn because it did not have two facilities we had experienced in previous years, a hot tub and within walking distance of a small town, but I am so very pleased not to have been put off!

We had arranged a supermarket delivery so when we got there we had no refreshments until it arrived, how welcome therefore was the cake and wine left for us, both were devoured before the delivery man turned up!

Orchard Barn was by far the cleanest and most comfortable accommodation we have experienced to date. Not too cavernous as some barn conversions can be, the area around the tv felt quite cozy as we enjoyed a few dvds after dinner. The kitchen is a lovely room to prepare and eat meals, we only used the second dining table in the lounge when we had a visiting caterer come and prepare and serve us a meal (pre-booked Bosham Catering, very good).

There was plenty of hot water so it was not too inconvenient that the two upstairs bedroom ensuites were bathrooms with no shower, I enjoyed having a relaxing bath every day when it is normally a quick shower and when I wanted a shower there were two downstairs to use. The ONLY thing I would say would have been an improvement was if the tap on the baths had shower attachments for hair washing, but this is a very minor point and did not spoil our stay in any way!

We will most certainly be returning as there is so much in the area we didn't see, we found it difficult leaving the comfort of the barn to go sightseeing!

Wow! Wow! Wow!

  • 5 of 5

What a place! Stunning barn conversion in beautiful countryside. We were welcomed with flowers, a home made cake and found wine and milk in the fridge. Very friendly owner who introduced herself to us just as we were cracking into the wine, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful facilities, immaculately clean and very well equipped. My girlfriends and I enjoyed the surrounding area with a visit to Arundel and West Dean gardens. A fantastic walk through the Bluebell wood brought us to the Hare and hounds at Stoughton where we enjoyed a warm welcome and a fantastic Sunday lunch. All in all a most enjoyable weekend which We can not recommend highly enough.
