Everything was great, the kids just loved the pool and we could not get them out! Being on the ground floor is ideal for this as they could come and get dried off without going in a lift.

Fantastic holiday

This is not your average holiday apartment, this is a home from home. From the minute we arrived the apartment was immaculate there was everything you could possibly need. The pool was just over the hedge and was no deeper than 4 feet. The only disappointment was that there's no barbeque or sun loungers, these have been replaced by reclining chairs which are handy for taking to the pool. Initially we weren't going to hire a car but on the advice of the owner and key holder we did, and you really do need one. We had great neighbours, Pam and John and Di with her 2 pugs. All in all a fantastic holiday and the village of Sucina is the real Spain. We will be back.

First class apartment

Just returned from a 3week stay in this apartment. Was very well furnished,clean, and had everyone you could possibly need. The resort was immaculately maintained, and very well situated for beaches and larger towns for shopping..

We visited all the golf group resorts and can honestly say in our opinion Hacienda definitely came out tops for us.

The little town of Sucina,just a 5 minute drive away was a very welcoming town with a variety of bars and restaurants. A very strong ex-pac community here, which was nice.

Would definitely recommend this apartment to our family and friends.. Needless to say we will be back.

Just returned from staying at Mike & Debbs apartment,arrived late in Murcia met by Kevin & Carol (key holders) very nice couple, the apartment was first class, very clean and spotless all amenities available, pool directly outside the apartment, this is a 5* apartment and would highly recommend to anyone wishing for a fantastic holiday, many thanks to Mike & Debbie for the opportunity to give our granson who is in poor health a fantastic holiday.

When we arrived late evening we were met by Keven&Carol (key holders),we found the apartment spotlessly clean and well presented, the swimming pool was directly outside the apartment which was ideal for our grandchildren,I would recommend this property to anyone wishing to have a fantastic holiday,thanks to Mike and his family for allowing us this opportunity.

A fantastic home from home

What a great apartment to base yourself for a holiday,so close to a fantastic large pool and in a 5 star complex with Spar shop,bars and restaraunts,entertainment for the kids,the nearby village Sucina is sleepy by day but springs to life in the evening with lots to see and do,larger towns like San Javier and Los Alcazeraz are a 15 minute drive and offer lovely beaches and lots of other entertainment,we have holidayed in the Costa del Sol for many years but decided on Costa Calida this year and what a great change,so more laid back,we felt so safe with the kids and just a nicer Spanish experience,thanks to Mike for all the info provided at apartment and to Kevin for the painless handover,can"t wait to visit again,eveything about this apartment is 5 star

Excellent Apartment, Excellent Location

We had a fabulous week at the Hacienda Riquelme. The apartment was of an extremely high quality, beautifully presented and ideally a stone's through from a great pool. A short walk to the Club House which serves excellent food and wine. Thoroughly recommended and will definitely book again.

We bought this Apartment in 2008 for familly use and have furnished and equiped it to a high standard reflecting the nature of this 5 star golf resort. It was not bought just to rent out we only let it out to help with the running costs. We have had many happy holidays there and hope to continue to do so.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

The area is very popular with both Cyclists for the magnificent country rides and kite surfers in the mar Menor sea. Please ask for more details if this is of interest to you on enquiry.


The Mar Menor is a large sea water lagoon which is one of the cleanest, safest and warmest waters in the Med. These wonderful beaches are just a 15 minute drive away and offer a safe haven for children to swim and play with a magnificent back drop of palm trees, shops, cafes and restaurants. More localy the Beaches of San Javier and Los Alcazares are but a 10 minute drive away.


Murcia (San Javier) airport is 15 mins drive to the resort and Alicante airport is 55 mins drive away on the excellent motorway system. Car hire is available from both airports and is recommended.


The nearby village of Sucina is a 3 min drive. The historic towns of Murcia and Cartegena are within 30 mins drive. A wide choice of designer shops and numerous restaurants offering different cuisines from around the world can be found in both cities.

Further Details:

Hacienda Riquelme is a stunning new resort and facilities are being improved all the time. The resort gives a feeling of real opens due to its low build density and its superb 18 hole par 72 golf course, which forms part of the challenging Nicklaus golf trail. As a guest at the resort you will have full access to the facilities and golf courses at the other Polaris resorts at Mar Menor, La Torre and El Valle all of which are within easy reach (free shuttle bus available). Currently there is a very good supermarket on the resort which opens until 8pm and a clubhouse bar/cafe. There is also a tennis court which forms the centre of the new sports complex. The town of Sucina (3 mins away) has everything you need to make your stay comfortable including a pharmacy, petrol station, banks, 2 supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Los Alcazares (20 mins away) is a charming Spanish town which caters well for holidaymakers with a stunning array of bars and restaurants along with beautiful beaches.

  • Notes on accommodation: Upon your arrival please phone our agents Kevin and Carol, they will Meet and greet you at the resort and show you into the Apartment. They are there primarily as our key holders, but are willing to help you with any issues you may have during your stay, and can offer friendly guidance and advice to ensure you have a superb holiday. Outside: Through the Patio doors leading from the living room is a generously sized teracotta paved covered pation area with full size black wicker glass top table with 4 chairs for outside dining in the shade. Two double matching sofas and coffee table complete the set. This leads onto the garden area which enclosed by a privit bush hedge and is south west facing. It enjoys the sunshine for most of the day, turning to shade around 17.30 local time in the summer. This in turn leads onto the communal garden area with palm trees and exotic shrubs, surrounding the communal pool which has steps into it along the shallow end allowing easy access for all. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All domestic towels and bed linen are provided, just bring your own beach towels, the property will be cleaned and ready for use upon arrival. Other: Dining area has round glass table with plexiglass chairs, air conditioning unit.
