The master bedroom has a double bed and en suite bathroom with bath & shower. There is a rear terrace from this room.
The second room has twin beds and use of the second shower room with toilet.
There are built in wardrobes in each room along with additional pieces of furniture.
The spacious living / kitchen area comprises a six seater dining table and seating for all including a sofa bed. 32’ satellite television with a variety of international channels and DVD player. Wi Fi is available in this apartment.
The open plan fully equipped kitchen adjoins the living area.
The living area opens out onto a furnished terrace area on the pool side with built in BBQ.
This is one of two modern luxury apartments at Villa Ancora and can be rented separately or as a pair for larger parties. Both apartments are beautifully furnished to a very high standard and offer a warm welcome to our guests. Both are ground floor with direct access to the shared pools, there is a secure child proof lockable gate between the private terraces, the pools and jaquzzi's. There is secure underground parking which keeps the vehicles cool in summer with a lift or alternatively spacious outside parking is available. The nearest beach is the award winning Praia de Dona Ana which can be reached by foot or car, there are numerous restaurants and bars in the area and the centre of the historic town of Lagos with its narrow cobbled streets and colourful market square is just a short walk away. Lagos offers a large variety of restaurants, bars and shopping. The area has a wealth of great beaches, natural attractions and golf courses. The new International Motor Race Track is only 30 minutes away.
Hi my name is John Barnard, I live and work in Norfolk, England with my wife and our pet dog Millie. Our two children have grown up now but still visit us regularly or decide to come home to stay for a while!. Having spent many golfing holidays on the Costa del Sol Spain we decided to visit the Algarve for the first time in 2006. We instantly fell in love with the country and its people, so much so that we decided to invest in property here in Lagos. We bought our first two brand new properties at Porto de Mos which were ready for rental in July 2008, our second two which are closer to the old town of Lagos and the Praia Dona Ana beach were new for the 2010 season. We would love you to share our experiences of this truly lovely area of the Algarve.

Villa Ancora is a new development in Porto de Mos but very close to the centre of Lagos, although not overlooking the sea, there are award winning beaches within easy walking distance as well as shops and restaurants. Lagos is one of the up and coming tourist destinations which is receiving serious investment in its infrastructure with improvments to its town centre and marina as well as the new motorway links to Faro airport.
The two apartments at Villa Ancora are closely linked so can sleep up to a maximum of 12 people. Beautifully furnished they offer a welcoming retreat should you be staying for a summer holiday, a long term winter let or an activity break. The apartments are managed for us locally by an English family Company (Algarve Accommodation Agency) meaning there is always someone on hand to meet and greet and help resolve any issues during your stay. Once you have decided to stay in one of the apartments the agency will issue a booking form, take secure deposits and take you through your reservation to completion.

Changeover Day:
Totally flexible. There is a small additional charge for a change over on a Sunday.
Notes on prices:
Prices are based on four people sharing an apartment and additional charges may be applied for extra persons. For stays of 10 days or more one mid term clean and laundry change is included. Prices include wifi. Apart from July, August and early September if you rent one apartment at full price for one week or more, you can rent the second similar apartment at half price for the same period. Discounts are available for long winter lets.
Very spacious, modern and well equipped apartment. We stayed for two weeks in August. We didn't hire a car but managed fine, local small supermarket is 10 min walk, nearest beach is 15 min walk and the centre of Lagos is 20 minutes away. Very quiet area, our party which consisted of two adults and 2 teenagers felt we had the lovely pool to ourselves most of the time. Lovely walks along the cliffs and down to the grotto within 20 minutes. Highly recommend
We have stayed at the property each year for the last 3 years and have always been delighted with it. Upon our arrival it is neat and clean, the kitchen has everything one would want as does the rest of the apartment throughout. The owner is a pleasure to deal with, always accommodating as is the property manager in Lagos.
The area, in addition to it being quiet, is close to virtually everything of importance to us. Downtown is only a 30 minute walk, the local market and supermarket only 20.
The west facing Patio has given us some amazing sunsets.
I couldn't say enough good things about this apartment and intend on returning regularly in the future.
Coast/Beach:
Its only a 5 minute walk or drive to the award winning Praia de Dona Ana beach where you can also enjoy a snack or cool drink.
The area boasts some great beaches at Meia Praia and Port de Mos. A visit to the lighthouse on the peninsula at Ponta Da Piedade is also well worthwhile.
Travel:
The nearest International Airport is at Faro about 75km away and takes about 50 minutes by car via the A22 dual carriageway. Many major airports offer flights to and from Faro (budget airlines included). The whole of the Algarve is very easy to navigate and the best way to travel is by hire car. A hire car is easy to arrange and most useful if staying at the apartments for exploring the area, shopping at local supermarkets etc. A visit to the restaurants and bars in Lagos is possible by foot.
