Set in 2 acres of garden and overlooking open fields and woodland. Bornigal a former farm cottage has been lovingly restored in 2009 and retains many of the original features such as exposed oak beams and stone walls. It is situated at the end of a rural lane in a small hamlet of 3 houses within walking distance to the village of Cléré du Bois with its popular restaurant, bar and shop, and 10 minutes drive to the market town of Chatillon-sur Indre with all the amenities you could require. The beautiful town of Loches is 20 minutes drive away and is famous for its Chateau, dungeon and wonderful architecture. Bornigal is a 1 bedroom house perfect for couples.
Firstly Bev & Nick made us so welcome. The cottage was everything and more than we anticipated. The area was very relaxing, we found a golf course which was fun and very welcoming. We also found a fishing lake near by which was ideal.
All in all a fabulous weeks holiday.
Highly recommended
We could not have asked for more! A huge, well-maintained garden, large plunge pool for the hot days, plenty of seating areas for Al fresco drinks and dinner and that's just the outside space!
Within the property, you have everything you could ever need (including books, games, etc), with a well-equipped kitchen and spacious areas to relax and while away the hours. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable summer room, which is a great additional sitting room.
The property is perfectly located - a 10 minute walk in to the local village and a 25 minute drive in to the large, local town of Loches.
We would highly recommend this rural retreat and its delightful owners. We definitely plan on returning soon.
Bev and Nick have made this rural retreat perfect for recharging your batteries. The sun lounge extension is an excellent addition to relax in, over looking the garden as the sun goes down. You will not be disappointed with this well equipped and well maintained property.
Looking forward to returning next year.
If you're looking for a complete relaxing holiday then this is the place to stay, It has everything you need and the hyper market not far away for all you supplies. Just loved the plunge pool on very hot days to cool off, the chickens next door, horses and donkey further up the road.
This place is so chilled we are heading back next year.
