The 350sqm finca is set within 35,000 meters of almond and fruit trees all walled, and electric gated land with spectacular views of the Tramuntana mountains. The house has 5 double rooms all with en-suite. (an extra twin room is available at extra cost) A family bathroom is also available on the ground floor. There are 3 reception rooms, upstairs lounge, large dining room and entrance lounge. A fully fitted out kitchen with all amenities, laundry room, internet access, English and German TV and CD players make this a good house to unwind and relax. There is a good size pool, with a shaded gazebo and many terraces to enjoy the views. As the finca is 200 years old and built with meter thick stone walls it remains cool in the summer. A short walk to the village bars, restaurants and shops. A 5 minutes drive to Inca with the islands largest weekly market. Only 20 minutes to Pollenca beach and golf course makes this a great location to walk, cycle, or just relax and enjoy the island.
Log burners and heating make this a great place for a winter break.
As lovers of this part of Mallorca we hope you will enjoy our home as much as we do.
We bought this property as we enjoy the rustic beauty of this area of Mallorca, although it is still in easy reach of the City of Palma and beaches of the north coast.
The views and peace of the house and location make this a great place to relax and unwind.
The property is in a fantastic location, a few minutes walk from a sleepy village and a good barbecue restaurant - Tafona Caimari. Also Selva, Inca, Pollenca and Alcudia are all within an easy drive for supplies, beaches and, particularly in Port de Pollenca, some great restaurants.
The house itself is incredible, there was so much space and each room was lovingly decorated with a lot of personal charm and you can tell the place is loved. The beds are comfy and the kitchen has everything you would need including a barbecue for outdoor cooking while the sun sets over the nearby mountains - bliss!
The pool is a good size and is kept very clean with comfy sun loungers nearby.
Caroline and Billy are excellent hosts, very welcoming and full of suggestions for the local area. We would recommend doing the gourmet tour - it was good fun and great value!
Spent a week here in September 2014, and it was really a fabulous property in a lovely setting.
This property is perfect for a large family or group of friends, and I really cannot fault the accommodation. The three main bedrooms were excellent (including the ground floor bedroom which is described as suitable for "disabled")- which description made me wonder about it but in the end, as grandparents, we found it wonderful and quiet, away from the noise of the rest of the family. And it had an excellent shower room/wc., Apart from no view or balcony, it wasas good as the other 2 main bedrooms.
The 2 lounges are a wonderful bonus for large family/group of friends, to give some space, although that is not really needed due to the extent of the grounds, although with the very wet weather we had all week, we were glad of the 2 rooms
So, why have I not given it a full 5 star rating? Basically, the house could have done to have been a bit cleaner i.e. thick dust under the beds and bed side tables, and the local village, Caimari, does not cater for any basic needs. You have to have a car, which is absolutely fine, but there is nowhere to walk to in an evening for a drink or meal, and the restaurants in Caimari are poor and not recommended.
Selva was the nearest place - nothing of great interest, but the nearest "grocer" - not a supermarket! You need to go to Finca for any proper shopping.
However, the main "bug" in the ointment, was seeing on the website shortly before leaving on holiday, that the price of the rental for the period we were staying, had been reduced by at least one third of the price we had paid.
Yes, I understand that this is a business, and a reduced rental income is better than none for the owners, but the rental for this property is not cheap, and we did feel that it was a little mean to penalise people who had made a booking, paid a deposit, and therefore kept to the agreed rental price and then to charge people just booking for the same period one third less! Also, there had not been any bookings either the week before we arrived, and there was only one more booking for the rest of the year!
However, I fully recommend this property, but suggest that if you are not committed to a certain week, make a note of the rental charge, wait until just before you want to go, and then see if the rental charge has been reduced by one third before you book!
Otherwise, very friendly and helpful owners. Rrecommended for family/groupsl
Fantastic holiday with our young children and grandparents. The finca was great, huge amount of space, immaculately kept and fantastic location. The owners were extremely helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
