Villa near Altea / La Nucia, Costa Blanca North, Spain - Tranquil Country Location But Only 3 Miles To Beach

Less than 3 miles from the coast and the picturesque harbour town of Altea with its delightful mix of artisan and modern architecture, restaurants, shops, cultural centres and stunning views overlooking the sea from Calpe to Albir from the famous blue domed Iglesias. From Altea the villa is approached via the scenic road to La Nucia in the lush fertile Algar valley with its splendid panoramic mountain views, then turn right into the orange, lemon and nispero groves, where the villa sits on top of and cut into a small hillock in this delightful and very private location, where it is surrounded by fields of almond trees and a pine forest which falls to the River Algar below. Set in beautiful mature grounds of three thousand square metres. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity broken only by the songs of the birds as they cavort amongst the mature gardens. The very private villa is on the upper ground level with its own private entrance, terraces and pool.

About The Owner

I have lived in Spain for over 20 years with my husband and daughter, most of that time as a business owner in the beauty profession.

Originally I am from Cornwall but worked in London, then nurse training in Gloucester, and then many years nursing in Cornwall.

We moved to Spain for the wonderful climate and excellent way of life.

The Owner purchased this villa in 1999

Why The Owner chose La Nucia

We bought our house from an ex-professional Everton footballer, Wally Tolen, who had looked for the perfect spot to have his dream home. On a small hillock in a valley with mountains all around. A very tranquil area but very close to all the amenities of the Costa Blanca.

He called this house Casa Notre´ve (The house of our dreams) spelt Everton backwards.

We saw the same qualities, a unique house in the country with space all around yet within 5 minutes drive to the sea.

What makes this villa unique

The property has all the advantages of pure tranquility,

Clean country air, wonderful views yet only 2 miles to the local town and just over 3 miles to the Beach.

Benidorm is 10 minutes away.

Hot and cold air-conditioning Travel Cot available. The owners will be on hand (in the self-contained apartment below) to offer any help or information as required. Outside: Large patio , patio table and chairs, gas barbecue, large tiled barbecue table with seating for ten. parking area. Private 8x4 metre swimming pool for your sole use. Ample sun loungers. Use of jacuzzi. Wonderful views. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Towels and linen are included, There will be adequate towels to last the duration of the holiday. Beach towels are included. Mid term cleaning can be arranged at a cost of 40Euros Other: Large glazed Naya with access from the living room and 2 of the bedrooms with door leading to the swimming pool Ample seating. The local beach at Altea is approx 3 miles away from the property, so a car would be essential, although well within cycling distance.

La Nucia is about 2 miles but uphill.

Beach at Albir is approx 10mins and 15 mins to Benidorm with its sandy beaches, lively night-life, restaurants and theme parks.

There are horse riding stables almost next door to the property.


Alicante airport is approx 1 hour by car.

Valencia airport about one and a half hours.

Hire cars are readily available at either airport.

Transport would be essential for this property.


La Nucia is 2 miles away, Altea beach is 3 miles, Albir Beach is 5 miles.

Benidorm with its myriad of leisure activities, inluding Mundomar and AguaPark is approx 8 miles as is Terra Mitica Theme Park, and Terra Natura.

Guadalest, one of the most visited tourist attractions in Spain is approx 20 minute drive away. The sparkling cool waters of the waterfalls at the Fuentes D'Algar, also a short drive away.

Further Details:

There is a local supermarket one and a half miles away that has a full range of products at reasonable prices, however larger supermarkets, banks, shops, restaurants are within 10 minutes by car.

There is a gourmet Belgian restaurant only 5 minutes walk away.

Altea has a weekly market on Tuesday, and La Nucia on Sunday,

Alfaz on Fridays.

Booking Notes:
Change-over day will normally be on Saturday, however many people prefer a midweek booking and depending on booking commitment we will be as flexible as we possibly can.
25% non-refundable deposit to be paid to secure booking and the rest 4 weeks before the start of the holiday.
A 200Euro security/damage will be required on arrival which will be returned within 2weeks if there is no damage or excessive use electricity or water.
Check out time will be 11.00am and check in 3.00pm.

Changeover Day:
Change-over day will normally be on Saturday, however we will be as flexible as we can depending on subsequent booking commitment.
Check out will be 11.00 am and check in at 3.00pm.

Notes on prices:
For longer periods in multiples of 7 days a 10% discount will be given.
For complete month rental a 20% discount will be given.
