Located just off Reaburn Place, the main street in Stockbridge. The apartment is on the first floor, at the front of the building, parking is available at the rear of the building and there is a lift. Large living room with french windows leading onto sunny balcony. Recently fitted fully equipped kitchen. One double bedroom and single room. Modern bathroom with bath and shower. We have 2 apartments in adjacent buildings, they are of similar size, standard and cost. See reference no SC135.

About Johan Hensens

Ancrum Craig in the Scottish Borders is our home since 1976 and we have run it as a B&B from the beginning! We bought a flat for our daughter to live in when she studied in Edinburgh. That was way back in 99. On graduation Erica moved to London we we decided to renovate the flat and rent it out for short term holiday lets.

This was successful and in 2006 we bought Pamela's flat next door.(SC2135)

We meet and greet all our guests, and do all the cleaning and maintenance. You can find full details of our accommodations on our website.

Why Johan Hensens chose Edinburgh

We bought this apartment when our daughter went to University in Edinburgh. She has meanwhile moved on and since than we use the apartment for holiday lets.

It is in walking distance from the very centre but does not have the crowds, noise and the tartan tat from the Old Town. It is a safe area of the town, and has a village atmosphere. It is close to the large green open spaces of Inverleith Park and the Royal Botanic gardens.

What makes this apartment unique

Erica's apartment is on the first floor and there is a lift. The balcony allows you to sit in the open air.

All the shopping you are likely to need during your stay is available within 200 meters. There are also a large number of quality pubs and restaurants just round the corner.

You can walk to all the main tourist attractions from the apartment but there is also a bus stop round the corner with a frequent service to all part of the town, including the university.

Un apartamento muy agradable y bien situado

Hemos pasado una semana estupenda en el apartamento de Johan.

Nos hemos sentido como en casa, Había muchos extras, cafe, leche, especias, aceite, galletas etc y un detalle que nos encantó fueron unos huevos de gallina de corral que nos trajo Johan de su casa de campo.

Johan nos explicó las cosas más importantes.

Es apartamento está en Stockbridge, un barrio precioso y se puede ir andando al centro dando un paseo muy bonito.

Esta muy bien comunicado por autobus, toda la ciudad lo está.

Sin duda repetiremos.

A fantastic place to stay in Stockbridge

The apartment was very clean and tidy upon our arrival. The owner, Johan, was there to greet us and show us around the property. The facilities provided were exactly what we needed for our stay, and everything that we could have needed.

The apartment is ideally situated for exploring Edinburgh. Local shops, bars and eateries are only a minute walk away, along with bus stops for those wanting to use public transport (which is the best way to get around if walking distances are a bit too far). Edinburgh centre os a fifteen minute walk. We parked our car upon arrival and didn't use it again intil we departed for home!

All on all I would recommend a stay here to anyone.

Great holiday!

Very comfortable flat in a great location. Just round the corner from the shops with everything you could need but in a quiet street. Lovely Sunday market with walks along the river, we loved Stockbridge. Hope to be back in the near future.

Peaceful environment

Our first holiday in Scotland was amazing and successful because of this wonderful apartment. Its location was absolutely great next to old town and Princess street. All what needed was close, shops, post office, pharmacy, pubs and diners. Apartment was clean, cosy and suitable to use for two person. We liked that much. Thank you so much to Johan, who gave us great information and was such as wonderful host. We can recommend this warmly who wants to stay in Edinburgh. We can say, we will come back! Riina & Heini

Wonderful Edinburgh short break

An ideal location for exploring Edinburgh - we felt part of the local Stockbridge community but were close enough to central Edinburgh to experience the tourist spots.
