A lovely spacious apartment in a chalet style building with stunning views of Mont Blanc from the south facing garden and overlooking a large meadow area. Excellent location in a quiet cul de sac in the traditional village of Les Praz. Within a few minutes walking distance of the Flegere lift, skiing, golf course, bars, shops and restaurants, and less than a 5 minute drive or approximately 25 minutes walk to Chamonix centre. Alternatively you can catch the mountain railway train from the nearby station to Chamonix or to Argentiere and Vallorcine. Wonderful skiing in winter and excellent walking and cycling in summer at the doorstep. The location of the property gives you the benefit of being near the amenities and liveliness of Chamonix, whilst enjoying peaceful and scenic surroundings. The Chamonix Valley has something for everyone with 350 pisted runs covered by the Mont Blanc Ski Pass in winter and numerous walking and cycling trails in summer.

Lovely apartment in a great location

We have just returned from a lovely week's stay in Les Praz with our grown up family (6 of us in all). The accommodation was great and large enough for us all to have privacy, whilst enjoying our time together. The property was very clean, well maintained and the listing was accurate regarding photographs, layout and facilities. After skiing we also enjoyed spending time in the south facing garden with stunning views over looking Mont Blanc. The apartment is walkable distance from Chamonix and the buses run frequently from the end of the road to the various ski slopes. The local train service also runs from Les Praz to Chamonix and the other ski resorts. We found that the 'young ones' were able to be independent and get around easily on their own when skiing and the La Flegere Ski Lift is a five minute walk away. My husband found the local bakery stocked a good selection of basic foods including fresh bread, croissants, milk etc and was only a five minute walk away. We also enjoyed the bars and found the local people very friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would certainly recommend this apartment to friends and family.

summer break

The apartment was much better and more spacious than the pictures and description made it out to be. It is ideal for a small family and could cope with 6 in the 3 bedrooms. The bathroom and showers were all very good. The views out of the garden were tremendous, and the location was ideal providing peace if you wanted it but close enough to amenities. The train station, which did not disturb us, was less than 100 yards away giving you direct acces to St Gervais or you could jump off in Chamonix. The meals in La Cabane, the golf club restaurant, were excellent and the service was what you would hope for in a quality restaurant. Walks into Chamonix were beautiful following the river into the town, or you could walk into the quieter areas towards the mountains and find typical Haute Savoie homes. The cable car was no distance if you were carrying skis and it is somewhere I would certainly use in the winter.

Superb summer holiday

We spent just under two weeks at Les Lanchers, in Chamonix Les Praz, with our two teenage children. The property is a spacious, well equipped ground floor apartment which benefits from a small garden with excellent views of the mountains. It is very well located for the train and bus to get to Chamonix or further afield, and close to one of the cable cars. However, we brought bicycles with us and used these for local journeys. The letting agent was very welcoming on arrival and the apartment suited us perfectly. The location is excellent for mountain walking in the summer, with great high and low level walks. It is also popular for those interested in more extreme sports - mountain biking, paragliding etc. We had a great time at Les Lanchers. With the ages of our children it was probably our last family summer holiday, so will always have treasured memories for us.

We have spent many happy days and weeks with our family and with friends in the apartment in both summer and winter. We love the sunny south facing aspect and the light airiness of it and there is plenty of space for 6 or 8. You can walk straight from the apartment or catch one of the lifts and enjoy the high mountain views on marked paths. There is lots for the children to do in the area and many adventurous activities for young and old. The nearby golf course is superb and the skiing is second to none. Try the restaurant at the Hotel Eden or the Golf Club - we think they are the best in the area.
