A lovely spacious apartment in a chalet style building with stunning views of Mont Blanc from the south facing garden and overlooking a large meadow area. Excellent location in a quiet cul de sac in the traditional village of Les Praz. Within a few minutes walking distance of the Flegere lift, skiing, golf course, bars, shops and restaurants, and less than a 5 minute drive or approximately 25 minutes walk to Chamonix centre. Alternatively you can catch the mountain railway train from the nearby station to Chamonix or to Argentiere and Vallorcine. Wonderful skiing in winter and excellent walking and cycling in summer at the doorstep. The location of the property gives you the benefit of being near the amenities and liveliness of Chamonix, whilst enjoying peaceful and scenic surroundings. The Chamonix Valley has something for everyone with 350 pisted runs covered by the Mont Blanc Ski Pass in winter and numerous walking and cycling trails in summer.

I live with my husband in Bedfordshire in England and have 3 daughters and 10 grandchildren. One of our daughters (and 4 of our grandchildren) is a doctor in Geneva, which is why we bought our apartment 11 years ago, just after our second grandchild was born.

Why anne coates chose Chamonix

We have spent many happy days and weeks with our family and with friends in the apartment in both summer and winter. We love the sunny south facing aspect and the light airiness of it and there is plenty of space for 6 or 8. You can walk straight from the apartment or catch one of the lifts and enjoy the high mountain views on marked paths. There is lots for the children to do in the area and many adventurous activities for young and old. The nearby golf course is superb and the skiing is second to none. Try the restaurant at the Hotel Eden or the Golf Club - we think they are the best in the area.

A fantastic stay

We have just returned from a weeks stay in Chamonix. The apartment was very spacious and well equipped with amazing views from every window and the lovely south facing garden. Les Praz itself is a very pretty village with several nice restaurants and provides an excellent base for exploring the Chamonix region and the surrounding area. The owners Anne and John were very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of good ideas and advice about what to see and do. Unfortunately our car broke down while we were in Chamonix and Anne could not have been more helpful, allowing us to stay on until our car was sorted. We has a fantastic stay which we will always remember and would love to return in the future. The Allens

Great apartment, loads of space, great location.

The apartment was fantastic, well equipped with lots of room for five of us. Les Praz is a lovely village and it's easy to walk into Chamonix. Loads to do nearby. Arrangements re booking, arrival and departure were all very easy. We had a fabulous time.

Perfect in every way! Convenient, quiet and charming!

Exceeded all expectations!! We had a magnificent holiday with this as our home base. We fell in love with Les Praz, Chamonix and the local people. We spent two weeks here and never ran out of things to do for all the ages. Our best holiday to date...thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Very good for grown up families

Spacious and well equipped apartment, plenty of wardrobes, drawers etc so you can really settle in and feel at home. Everything you need in the kitchen if you want to rustle up a meal for eight.

Lovely sunny garden with amazing views.

We'll definitely be booking again.

Home from home.

We have just returned from 6 nights at les launches.

Family of 6 we had more than enough room and could have easily accommodated at least 2 more people.

The appartment was very comfortable, clean and warm even though the outside temperature didnt rise above -7.

The village of les Praz is beautiful. We found it a fabulous location for a Base to explore the whole chamonix area. The buses ran very frequently to all of the ski lifts and the train was also great. The walk into chamonix was just stunning and took around half hour at a leisurely pace.

It was our first trip to Chamonix and the whole family had the most wonderful time and will most definitely return...... so sad to be home !

One of the things that attracted us when we bought the apartment was the location - peaceful and pretty but close enough to Chamonix to enjoy the vibrancy of it, by walking there or using the train or bus. Hope you come and stay again - the summer is lovely too.

Well equipped appartment, grear location

Great apartment for 5 adults on a winter walking holiday -lovely walks nearby even though there wasn't much snow when we were there! Chamonix and Les Praz are very attractive. Easy access to local free buses and train (station next door and buses over the road). It took us about 25 min to walk from les Praz to Chamonix (5 min on bus).

The apartment was as shown in photos with alpine style furnishings. Plenty of space for 5 adults. We found the beds comfortable and good showers with plenty of hot water. The apartment has a main bathroom (toilet, sink, shower over bath) and another separate toilet. The 2 double bedrooms have a sink in the bedroom. One of these rooms also has a large shower enclosure in the bedroom. Electric heaters kept the house nice and warm and there was good WiFi and English TV if you want it.

The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything we needed. The owner communicated well and we were met on arrival with a local representative who quickly sorted out a problem for us. We would recommend the Mountain Drop Off shuttle bus service which we used to between Geneva airport and this appartment.

We hope to return to les lanchers for a summer walking holiday.

We have tried to make the photos and description give a true and full idea of what the apartment is like so that guests know exactly what to expect, so we are please you found it like that. I helped the plumber lift in the large water tank so I know there certainly is plenty of hot water! We too think that the location is great for both winter and summer and access around the valley is easy. Do come back in the summer. There are lots of activities and lovely walks and cycle tracks of all grades both in the mountains and in the valley and the view of the Aiguille from the garden with the sun setting and changing the colour of the mountains is great.
